Video games don’t have to have good graphics to be good:
Video games don’t have to be about combat to be good:
Video games don’t have to be linear to envelop players in their worlds:
Video game bosses don’t have to be difficult to be fun:
Video games don’t have to lack color simply because they are “post-apocalyptic”:
Video games can have lighthearted art design and still carry deeply dark themes:
Rethink video games.
When you are writing a story and refer to a character by a physical trait, occupation, age, or any other attribute, rather than that character’s name, you are bringing the reader’s attention to that particular attribute. That can be used quite effectively to help your reader to focus on key details with just a few words. However, if the fact that the character is “the blond,” “the magician,” “the older woman,” etc. is not relevant to that moment in the story, this will only distract the reader from the purpose of the scene.
If your only reason for referring to a character this way is to avoid using his or her name or a pronoun too much, don’t do it. You’re fixing a problem that actually isn’t one. Just go ahead and use the name or pronoun again. It’ll be good.
You're god damn right.
To add to that if Hell is real we kill the fucker responsible for putting it there and doing our damndest (ha!) to free all the unfortunate fucks in it. Punishments should ALWAYS fit the crime. Eternal suffering should only be dealt to those whose crimes are eternal and the only fucker thst deserves thst is the shitheel that made Hell a thing and kept it running.
I don't give a fuck if it is God assuming it exists. The fucker who did it should die at any costs and their reign of terror ended.
full offense telling children, especially children too young to understand complex issues (under ten years old), that they’re going to hell is abusive and you’re an asshole
QFT
no but really, like
i know that some folks love telling creative people that “you should be doing it for fun because you love it not for the compliments” but creative people thrive on feedback whether it’s critical or just complimentary
so when i write fanfiction and don’t get any actual feedback i feel like i spent all that time and energy doing it for nothing because i’m not getting feedback from the people i wrote it for
doing something you’re proud of and then presenting it to the sound of utter silence is like the worst feeling on earth

Without boundless curiosity from the Abyss, regards Abyssmaluser
