This is so important. I literally know so many with trauma from their parents constantly asserting their right to photograph and critique their kids appearances because it makes their social media look bad. Why canβt we treat kids like people???
βshe should be at the clubβ βbut not everybody can handle loud music / likes going out / enjoys drinking / wants toββ YOURE MISSING THE POINT. βshe should be at the clubβ is not about the literal club!! itβs about the whimsy of youth!! itβs about the things you can get away with, body and mind!! itβs about having fun and ignoring the horrors for as long as you can!! itβs about the fact that you do not deserve to feel this pain and have these responsibilities, you do not deserve to be locked in your room with your sadness, you deserve to enjoy the music and the pretty lights and the ass shaking of life!!! itβs about how i wish joy for you, even if you do not wish it for yourself!!! you should be at the club!!!!

An adult in a diaper isn't less of an adult. An adult who needs the help of a caregiver isn't less of an adult. An adult who can't speak isn't less of an adult. An adult who can't work or study isn't less of an adult. An adult who can't live independently isn't less of an adult. Adulthood is about your amount of years spent alive, not about your skills and abilities
