Hey. HEY. I'm asking the questions.
You know sometimes I think about how in the plot description of the magnus protocol it’s stated that the magnus institute burned down in 1999. This did not happen in the original series so it obviously takes place in a alternative universe, and seeing as Gertrude attempted to burn down the archive originally, maybe in this universe she succeeded by executing the plan way earlier.
So now there’s an intresting thing about the episode that first hints to multiple dimensions in TMA. In mag 114 a cleaner named Anya Villette accidentally falls through the crack in reality at hil top road. She traveled from a different universe to the one we listen to. Notable is that in Anya’s original universe the tree at hil top road was still standing, implying Agnes was still alive there in 2009. (Agnes died in 2006)
That PLUS the fact Jonny has said he would’ve loved to elaborate on Agnes’s character, I have come to the conclusion that Agnes and Gertrude are still alive in magnus protocol.

I love Art too, and to be honest I was already planning on doing this, so the ask just pushed me along into getting on with it. I did have to learn how to draw dogs, but that’s a useful thing to learn.
Also doing cute drawings where these characters can be happy before the true horrors take hold brings me joy.
The sad part of the poor captain’s determination to make it to England is that, in a way, it would be better if he didn’t. Because he’s bringing a vampire to a place with a lot more prey than one ship can provide.
And he doesn’t know that! He has no idea what’s killing his men, or that it would be a bad idea to let it get on shore. The captain is doing his very best to be brave and honorable in a terrifying situation, and that’s part of why it’s so tragic.
Anyway, in an AU version of this story, this would be Dracula:

Took Alexandria Neonakis' Schoolism class on costuming, and the main assignment was to design the costume for a character in a book, movie, etc. Her example was Tom Bombadil and Goldberry, so I designed Mina Harker from the book Dracula! I tried to make her outfits as close to 1880/1890's designs as I could. Her clothes are of an older style, as she was a school teacher and Jonathan had only just been certified, so in my mind they didn't have a lot of money, and then...Dracula happened.
Very informative class, would recommend!
