“I will not help you find anything that is not already yours,” the spirit warns, and it’s a sharp thing, a threat.

Jaster doesn’t let himself be moved. “It is mine,” he says, and it’s more or less true—the Darksaber is his by right, by tradition, even if Tor is the one who holds it right now. Seeking out a Jedi, a being purely of the Force, is a risk, will test his ability to obfuscate, but to bring the Mandalorians together and end the civil war, it’s worth it.

The Zabrak stares at him for another long moment, then inclines his head. His body shimmers, and the unearthly blue bleeds away as he steps out of his Temple, approaches the edge of the stairs. Ghostly light becomes tan robes, dark skin, long black hair, and he steps out of the nexus of the Force where all Jedi live and into the real world.

“If it is yours, how was it taken from you?” he asks, and Jaster smiles.

“It’s an heirloom, and it was stolen long ago,” he says, precisely the truth. It simply wasn’t stolen from him. Tarre's descendants stole it from a Jedi Temple, long before the Jedi retreated fully into the Force.

The Jedi weighs his words for another moment, apparently finds truthfulness in them, and starts down the steps. Jaster falls in with him, trying not to stare, and asks, “You’ll help me retrieve it, then?”

“Your words are the truth,” the man says bluntly. “And in return, you have my word. I will remain until it is in your hands once more.”

Jaster doesn’t smirk, because that’s unbecoming, but he grins a little more widely than is likely seemly. “Thank you. I'm Jaster.”

“Agen,” the Jedi returns. “What was stolen from you, that you would go so far to retrieve it?”

“The Darksaber,” Jaster says, and now that he has Agen's word he doesn’t hesitate to admit it.

Agen stops dead, staring, and Jaster takes two more steps before he stops, turns, looks back. He raises a brow, still smiling, and says, “I never lied. Your word holds.”

There's a long, breathless moment, and then Agen snorts, amusement rising in his face. “You're correct,” he says. “My word is my bond, even now. You are clever with your words, Jaster Mereel.”

“And you are as quick as you are lovely,” Jaster returns, offering Agen his hand. Agen takes it, and Jaster wasn’t entirely sure what to expect of a Jedi, but his touch is warm, familiar, soft skin and calluses and a strong grip. He smiles, raising Agen's knuckles to his lips, and says, “Come, Agen. The Darksaber awaits.”

“Tarre will be most disappointed that he was not the one to answer your summons,” Agen says, and keeps walking down the stairs before Jaster can even begin to comprehend the implication that Tarre is still alive.

Remember how in the original series Fudou would steal the ball from Kidou, making him fall to wake him up from his Kage-induced-trance? Well in the game he doesn’t do that. In the game he goes up to Kidou and SLAPS the Hell out of him. One. Single. Powerful. Slap. To Kidou Yuuto, the Absolute Leader of the pitch, the genius playmaker. Right in front of EVERYONE!  And that’s so much more powerful than stealing his ball, it shows a deeper, more intimate and direct connection between them, because you don’t go slap a stranger or someone that you don’t care about, even if they’re annoying. Also, I love how he just doesn’t care about who Kidou is, he needs to get his shit together and he will slap him into it.

In Ares they both have the number 19. And yes, I know I tend to read too much into stuff but listen, let a girl dream ok?  Anyway, the 19 is divisible only by number 1 and itself, it’s made from the first and last single-digit numbers and that makes the 19 a number of completion, a number of beginning (1) and end (9). In the number’s symbolism number 19 is an auspicious number being associated with success and honor. This number is filled with joy and happiness. ALSO, the tarot card number 19 is The Sun. This card, when upright, represent a time when you can finally see the path ahead of you and through the hardship you have endured, you have attained a new level of insight and understanding. The Sun reversed indicates that finding the positive aspects to a particular situation may prove to be difficult. Your direction and path ahead may have become clouded or distorted in some way. Nonetheless, the Sun is never a negative card, so this is only temporary. The obstacles you see can be easily removed if you put your mind to it.  And honestly? This one is my absolute favourite that I kept for last! Fudou’s voice actor once said, while talking about Fudou, “I want him (Fudou) to breathe life into Kidou whenever he loses his way”. Let it sink. This is just…so goddamn beautiful and…and I don’t even know, it sums up their relationship so well? And it’s tied to point one of this mini list yes, but also to every other time Fudou pushed Kidou to surpass his limits and just snap out of his self-doubts? Gods I love this quote so much and to think that the actual voice actor said it is!!!! AMAZING! But you know what’s even MORE amazing? You guessed it: read more into it! So, “breathe life” in a more scientific key can be translated into breathing oxygen into someone’s lungs to bring it back to life. And do you know what’s the atomic number of Oxygen in chemistry? The number 8. Fudou, breathing life so oxygen, Fudou having the number 8 on his shirt, EVERYTHING FITS LEVEL5 I KNOW WHAT YOU DID THERE!

How do we feel about time-travel fics where teenage Ahsoka crashes the Kenobi-Jinn Mandalore mission and, while Obi-Wan is having weird courtly love pining nonsense with Satine, Ahsoka herself has managed to hook up with Bo-Katan.

It was supposed to be an undercover thing where Ahsoka hunted out Death Watch! It’s not like they did more than make-out in a corner between training sessions. Mostly they got into really aggressive sparring flirtation and then had to be pulled apart by Pre!

Just. You know. Once Ahsoka leaves Mandalore and goes back to the Jedi she keeps getting weird, love-lorn letters and violent gifts, because apparently, saying she hates slavery and had a bad experience with the Queen of Zygerria in particular means getting a head in a box in the mail, because when Bo likes someone, she flirts via regicide.

19yo Pre is 17yo Bo’s unwilling accomplice in seducing a Jedi.

Ahsoka’s busy getting teased by Quinlan Vos and Garen Muln. This only gets put on hold when the gifts go from “cool knife” to “literal head of a head of state,” and the Temple has to deal with that. It’s not a fun time.

Obi-Wan would join in on the teasing, except, well, Satine.

Qui-Gon is a little disappointed in both of them but he accepts that, in an absurd way, Ahsoka’s admirer is assassinating her way to a better galaxy, so maybe the Force did will this.

Ok but real talk here, big, important question for everyone:

Why do you like but not reblog?

It feels like the bare minimum in fandom to reblog stuff you like. It’s the easiest way to support artists/writers and guarantee they do more of that same kind of thing.

I thought of some reasons people might not want to reblog and I’m going to debunk them:

Reblog = repost and reposts are evil!!!

Reblogs are different than reposts. As long as the original post came from the artist, the artist gets the credit for it and that’s what they want. REPOSTS are when you find a piece of art you like, save it to your computer, and later make your own post with it, and that’s not cool

Reblogging is too much effort!!

It really, really isn’t. On mobile? Press and hold the reblog button. The post has now been reblogged. On desktop? Hold the alt key and then click the reblog button. Off it goes, letting more people enjoy the beauty of the post you just enjoyed yourself!

I don’t want to tag things though

So then...don’t? Just reblog it with no tags. You want to tag it later, you can. You never want to tag things? Cool, neither do I most times!

I DO want to tag things but I feel like I’m bothering people

I guarantee you, 90% of the time, artists love tags. Even the keyboard smash tags. The ones they don’t love are the ones demanding more art/for the artist to do things in a specific way/to change the art to suit one specific viewer’s preferences.

If I reblog things a lot, it’ll annoy people!

If people are following you, it’s for your content. If it annoys them, they can unfollow you. That’s on them. If you mean it’ll annoy the ARTIST if you go in and reblog their whole art tag...wrong, false, no, definitely not, they might even make more art specifically for you if you do that. Especially if you tag with ‘I love this piece because...’ and then give a reason why you love it, that is the most encouraging thing.

Reblogging doesn’t fit my blog aesthetic.

Idk what to tell you here, you’re in control of your aesthetic. Make a side blog maybe, reblog there and leave your main ‘clean’. Or vice versa. No reblogs = a quickly dwindling supply of art that people are willing to post.

Reblogging is an important part of fandom/tumblr community in general. It encourages more people to make more content which means more things for you to do/see/read.

It’s part of the fandom ecosystem; we have content makers and we have content viewers. Without makers, we have no art. Without viewers, there’s no reason to post it online. If viewers are limited, people start reconsidering whether to bother posting their art online or just share it with their friends they know will give feedback.

Reblogs are how you contribute to the fandom. Try it.
