Two down, one to go. Hydrangea macrophylla, also commonly known as French hydrangeas, are native to Japan. Does this count as cultural appropriation? NOTE: the flowers look withered. I suspect this intensely hot summer. ---- #flowers #nature #hydrangea #summer #finals #macro #oneflowerphotoforeveryexamIfinish #funfacts #dalhousie_u #halifax #photography #nikon (at Dalhousie University)
And all finals are a wrap! I'm a full 2-days late I apologize. Less than 24 hours after my exam I was in NYC! Roses are of the genus Rosa in the family Rosaceae. White roses are often used to represent purity, innocence, sympathy, and spirituality. They were also once a symbol of true love before being usurped by the red rose. (at Dalhousie University)

My dad woke me up for Sahur and Akid kept waving the flashlight everywhere. The moving light can be very harsh to the eyes of someone who just woke up. Had cereal and several glasses of water for Sahur. Anyway, today marks the 52nd year of Malaysia's Independence. Malaysia has had its ups and downs. Um, I'm not sure what to say. I'm not the most patriotic person there is. Maybe its because Malaysia isn't my birth-country. Maybe it's because the mentality of most -- not all, MOST -- Malaysian's bugs me. I don't know. Maybe its everything rolled into one. But I'll still say Malaysia is a beautiful country. The holiday destinations in Malaysia are the best. And not just the well-known or popular ones either. For the traveler who takes the less beaten path, there are still many gems to be found. During the last 'summer break', I had a great time visiting historical sites with my dad. It was a lot of fun. The urban destinations -- KL in particular -- is no less impressive. The Petronas Twin Towers never fails to impress everyone who stands in its shadow. Be it tourist or citizen. I raise my hat up to Tun Dr Mahathir for doing an amazing job in modernizing Malaysia and putting it on the map. If Liyana were to find this she'd be nagging me for months saying she's found the Malaysian in me. I'd appreciate it so much if you didn't tell her, D. Thank you. I'd rather she stumble across this and delay her 'discovery' of the Malaysian in me

And yes, we did think about vampires a lot

Happy New Year 2019!! Here's to all the amazing memories I had in 2018, and to many more amazing memories in 2019!! I have learned so much and look forward to growing even more. Of course, there were sad moments and goodbyes, but there are no rainbows without rain. I am coming up on (insyallah) my last semester so 2019 is looking to be a big year of changes and it is both daunting and exciting. As always, I will take any and all challenges head on with my (hopefully) signature positivity & optimism! I'm also glad it wasn't as cold as last year 😂 ---- #fireworks #nye #newyear #halifax #landscape (at Emera Oval) https://www.instagram.com/p/BsG_YnYHU8P/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=c6d50o8iaf1j
