Beetle They/He 26yo Converting to Judaism! Likes: Baking, cats, art, learning, groan-worthy jokes, and choreographing silly little dances
Notes:
If you can't be normal about Jewish people without scanning their entire internet presence to see if they're an ~Evil Zionist~, I can promise you, this isn't the blog for you. I also encourage you to research more about Jewish history, the history of Zionism, and the weaponization of Jewish terms and concepts by antisemites.
This is my blog to be open about my Jewish journey, and explore conversations + connections with other Jewish bloggers. I block people without apology if they make me feel unsafe or unhappy during my time here.
Other intersections of my life might come up, especially in relationship to Judaism. Examples include my experiences as a trans and disabled person.

reminder that disinformation is bad even when it furthers your narrative. if an organization is bad, you don't have to make up lies about it being bad. it's already bad literally just utilize the facts that are available to you
i mean this in the meanest way possible, if you as a leftist, in an attempt to 'punish' the democrats, either didn't vote or voted for a third party, go fuck yourself. you chose your own self righteousness over actually doing good.
You can't be antizionist and pro-indigenous. You have to pick one.
Or are you only pro-indigenous when it isn't The Jews™️?
Jewish people deserve to feel safe and if your first reaction is to go "but-!" then you're a bigot
Jewish people aren't some alien race that has ✨️special exemptions✨️ to your grace and understanding when it comes to minorities
It's not Jewish people's fault that your first instinct is to come up with an excuse for why it's "actually totally ok and ethical" to hate them
there is SO much misinformation circulating about harris right now. remember that if something will affect your vote or make you feel bad about your vote, you need to fact-check it. for decades, people have intentionally spread misinformation about candidates, and it’s not going to stop now (not to mention the misconceptions or warping of information that can happen even among the supporters of a candidate.) check reliable news sources. don’t just trust social media. if it will change ANYTHING for you, make sure it’s true.
Every year Rosh Hashana reminds me that I don't hate red and green together, I just can't stand the relentless omnipresence of it during the four months of Xmas.
Anyway you heard it here first: green and red are Rosh Hashana colors now 🍏🍎🍏🍎🍏
I wish Jews in media were allowed to exist outside the realms of Hanukkah or the Holocaust
Friendly reminder for any Jewish folks to request off for the holidays. We are a little less than 2 months out now!
Here's 2024's dates in case you need them!
Erev Rosh Hashanah starts on October 2nd (Wednesday) running through October 4th (Friday)
Erev Yom Kippur starts October 11th (Friday)
Simchat Torah is October 24th into October 25th (Thursday into Friday)
*Sukkot starts October 16th (Wednesday) but most people don't take off for it to my knowledge
Another delightful shul moment I wish I could capture. A dad rushing in last second to make sure his baby’s little hand touches the Torah and then kissed his baby’s little fingers instead of his tzitzit.
cursive hebrew is cool until you get to the unknown pokemon looking ass letters. you know the ones.
