I finished watching gravity falls with my mum today, and it really made me realise how different people can interpret things. For the record, my mum hates bill. She HATES him. And she doesn't particularly like Ford either,
She does however, like Mabel and Soos, those being her favourite characters, and the two she's laughed at the jokes of the most.
And I've noticed that most of the people who love bill and ford like how I do are queer neurodivergent fans, like me.
So, I have a question for the gravity falls fandom. Does our sexuality and our kind of mind make us cling to certain characters more?
I know there are certain characters that are gay coded or neurodivergent coded too, like Ford, and Bill, so it makes sense that gay autistic people would much prefer these two characters, as we can relate to them the best,
Do straight, cis, neurotypical people even like gravity falls that much? I've been in this fandom for about a year now (I wasn't given much TV access as a kid so I never got to watch it when I was younger), and I've noticed a trend, everyone I've met in this fandom
And I mean everyone
Has been in the LGBTQ+ community and has been neurodivergent.
The Gravity falls and tally hall community have been the two communities that I've been interacting in online, and in both communities, the only people I've interacted with have been gay and neurodivergent, to the point I sort of forgot that neurotypicals exist-
So here's my question
Do neurotypical people like gravity falls, and if so, who's your favourite character?

This is possibly the first time I've actually liked how I've drawn Ford, usually I just can't get him right 😭 but this one turned out great!! He doesn't look overly sweaty for once!!
I slightly changed my human Bill design to fit my idea that he likes getting piercings n stuff!! I would draw his tattoos but I really hate drawing tattoos and had just cried over it with one of my own characters LMFAO
Also everyone should be so proud of me, I'm on the road to recovery!! I haven't drawn a crying twink in over a week! (I've been away from home so I physically couldn't HAHA)
I'm sure I'll break that streak soon but for now, enjoy a happy human bill cipher <3

As awful as it sounds, I really love the idea that Bill's "love" for Ford is purely adoration and obsession, not love. I don't think Bill would love, I think he would only obsess over a person,
His "love" for Ford is that he claimed ford, and ford is his, and he's just very possessive over his things. A person is no different to an object to Bill. It's like how people are possessive over their phones or computer, it's theirs and they don't want other people touching or looking through their stuff, the same applies to people in Bill's mind,
It's toxic and makes for an unhealthy relationship but that's fine because I think that's the most realistic their relationship would ever be. An on and off thing of a sort of one sided relationship but the side switches every now and then LMFAO
So I had a fat crush on Stella from Winx club, so I decided to draw her! But my usual style doesn't do her enough justice so I drew her in my old old style!!!
She was my gay awakening, then I became male, so was she my.. straight awakening-???
I don't have time to draw this as I'm about to go to bed but wanted to share my thoughts for a moment
Why don't people draw human bill with a lot of piercings? He likes pain, why wouldn't he get piercings? As someone who has quite a few piercings now, I can tell you, they bloody hurt! I recently got angel fangs and they go straight through the lip so they're in the healing process, and a little something they do is get stuck in a fixed position so when I try to wiggle them up and down, they HURT like all hell broke lose on my lip. Bill likes pain, I'm sure he'd love the pain of healing a piercing!
I think Bill should be given more piercings :D for the pain, and also it makes his fleshbag more glamorous
Ok so someone asked me to explain how billford fanfictions follow basically the same plot as the emperor's New groove
So here I am
Quick warning, I'm not great at explaining my thoughts, so I might repeat myself a little or not make complete sense in some areas. If this happens, please tell me and I'll correct it <3 (also I do not care enough to watch whatever other films or series there are of the emperor's New groove, Disney sequels suck so bad that I'm not putting myself through the misery of watching them just for whatever this is)
The emperor's New groove follows the story of a greedy, selfish Emperor named Kuzco and Pacha, the leader of his village in Emperor Kuzco's kingdom (which is unnamed)
Kuzco summons Pacha to the palace and tells him quite bluntly that he will be destroying his house on the hill to make room for Kuzco's summer home, his birthday present to himself. Does that sound familiar?
Well it should
The entire threat Bill poses in gravity falls is about how he wants to take over the world for his master party. Ruining earth to make room for his own entertainment.
"But birt!" I hear you saying, "gravity falls and the emperor's New groove have very different stories, how can they be similar?" And to that I say
FANFICTION.
I'm a disgrace to my family, and have read an ungodly amount of billford fanfiction to the point there's not a singular billford fanfic I haven't read on wattpad and physically HAD to move to AO3 for some more content. So let's just say, I've read a lot of them
Especially the ones where Bill turns human because I'm a sucker for any human Bill,
In those stories, it usually takes place after Bill has been defeated, and usually the axolotl brings him back to life as a human because of that backwards chant (prayer?? Idk what you'd call it) Bill made where he said something along the lines of "axolotl my time has come, uh, please save me, don't let me die, lol thx" something like that. Or, something like dipper brings him back or even that to defeat Bill, they had to trap him as a human, it really depends on the fanfic. But by some magical plot moment, Bill is human, he's back as a human and he usually does not have any of the powers that be had before, or he has a very limited amount of powers, not enough to destroy the world. He basically never has his full powers in them
In the emperor's New groove, in retaliation to Kuzco firing her, Yzma, with the help of Kronk, tries to poison Kuzco, but accidentally ends up turning him into a llama, stripping away all his power he had in the kingdom and rendering him useless.
In gravity falls and the emperor's New groove, Kuzco and Bill are incredibly selfish characters. They only live to serve themselves and do not care even the slightest about another person. They're also both.. incredibly flamboyant. Kuzco is definitely gay I'm so sorry, he literally looked at a line of the prettiest women in the kingdom and IMMEDIATELY said no to marrying all of them, but that's besides the point. The point is, they're very similar
In every billford fanfiction where Bill turns human and the entire plot of the emperor's New groove, both characters go through a journey of self growth as they try to go back to their original bodies, Stanford and Pacha teach Bill and Kuzco how to care for another person, and how their consequences have actions, and they eventually become a better person by the end.
But what about Yzma? And Kronk? Ha! I found a difference in the storie- Kryptos and (sometimes) Pyronica.
I'm not entirely sure why but for some reason I'm most of these fanfiction, Kryptos plays a MASSIVE role, usually becoming the new Bill cipher. I really have to ask.. why-? Why is Kryptos the new Bill cipher-? I mean, I get it, kind of, not entirely, but you have SO many other henchmaniacs.. and y'all chose Kryptos -? I mean, alright I guess-
But anyway, Kryptos is usually the new Bill cipher, and to fully claim his seat as the new leader, he feels he has to kill Bill (haha, reference).
Yzma, in the emperor's New groove, after Kuzco is turned into a Llama, she's ALSO trying to kill Kuzco, to fully claim her seat as the emperor of the unnamed kingdom
So uh, that was my thought process behind it.. I might add to it later, if I feel like it.

So, I was watching the emperors new groove, when I realised why Gravity falls Billford fanfictions where Bill comes back as human are so familiar to me
MOST OF THEM FOLLOW A SIMILAR PLOT AS THE EMPERORS HEW GROOVE (this is a positive thing, this film is so good)
Also, fanfic Bill and fanfic Ford act really similar to Kuzco and Pacha and I absolutely love that

RAAAHHHH I drew my main oc in the gravity falls style, along with bill LMFAO
No cuz if these two met, they'd hate eachother so SO much, Ash is similar to Bill (unintentionally, I made him before I ever watched gravity falls LOL) but is incredibly structured and plans everything he does to no end. And if something doesn't go how he wants it to, he NEEDS to go back and fix it (and by fix it, I mean literally go back in time and change the action he's done. He is a time god afterall, which is what makes him such an ANNOYING villain, he's always 50 billion steps ahead of you)

Ok but how do people motivate themselves to write multiple chapters of fanfics every day? It's been two months since I first came up with the idea for my billford fanfic and I've only just started chapter two, and I'm already getting distracted by literally everything- and I HAVE to have my music on to got myself to write, IM TRYING SO HARD, PLEASE, SOMEONE, TEACH ME YOUR WAYS
I'd give myself a schedule for writing if I could stick to schedules, but they just make me procrastinate more- but I have given myself a goal of how many words each chapter needs minimum, that's been helping me a little-
Also, I've decided in my fanfic, Bill isn't just an acrobat, as that would be wasting his powers, so he's also a part-time fortune teller for the circus he works with!!

In this au, while he doesn't go by the "dream demon" anymore as, in his words, "it has a bad stigma around it now", he doesn't exactly try to hide his past. He's stuck with a relatively similar name, Billiam, and the most he's done is try to avoid the pines family as much as possible, which is why he joined the circus 😚😚
He performs as an acrobat btw, his favourite thing is the Aerial hoop because he likes spinning around on it and looking pretty in the process

WGY WON'T IT KETME POST MY STUFF
I want to write a billford fanfic about where it's been 3 years since weirdmageddon bill comes back as a human (typical fanfic), but Ford only discovers him when a circus comes to town, and bill has joined it. He's grown a love for human entertainment, especially things you see in the circus, and it's helped him develop a more human side to him while still using his powers to give a great show to the audience watching him. Ofcourse Ford thinks this is just a trick of bill's, assuming he's had the other members of the circus under a spell of some kind, but he doesn't show himself to bill, returning to the circus every night to watch for clues as to what Bill's plan is. But he can't find anything. Maybe Bill isn't planning anything afterall?
