Is john a good father? no he was an obsessed bastard / yes he lives down the road from me in heaven / no it was practically child abuse / yes we are having dinner together . does dean love castiel? no that is laughable I am breaking the fourth wall and looking directly into camera to show my disdain / yes, there are people... feelings I want to experience differently than I have before / no, "dean can't reciprocate" / yes. we're family. we need you. I need you. I love you. is supernatural even a story or is it just a series of clashing and unconcluded writer ideas

While I do still think sam’s anti-Benny stance in the beginning of s8 is wildly out of character, it does make sense that Sam (in a season where all of his mistakes are consistently thrown at him) would be deeply jealous of Benny (blood sucking freak)

sam is the ultimate doomed by the narrative character not only bc the most fucked up things to happen to literally anyone in the history of ever happen to him but bc the literal narrative he exists within alters the reality of these situations so that he becomes less and less justified in his sense of anger and betrayal. like not trying to be dramatic bc i understand this is all just the result of lazy writing but the way sam and the viewer are being manipulated into believing the circumstances of the gadreel situation and the subsequent fallout are entirely different than what they were to begin with is CRAZY. and i think the reason it's bothering me so much is bc possession throughout the entire show and this season is such a one to one allegory for rape. but let me calm down bc this is literally soup or natural.

tbh sam is way more punk than dean, it's just that nobody considers it because he spent all his time away from home being a lawboy and making his own citrus water bc he's a huge fucking freak like that

like it literally makes me rabid. i want to see sam angry so fucking bad. they never let him be angry with dean like real ugly out of control below the belt fury after the kripke era and it makes me insane. i can only watch sam take the high road while dean gets to be immature and self absorbed and Plot Relevant and make mistakes and never have them held against him so many times. over and over after season 5 we just watch sam get more and more ground down while the people around him treat him with less and less respect and still bring up mistakes he made years earlier that were never entirely his fault and that he's more than atoned for and for god's sakes all i want is for him to get MAD again. not tired not understanding not sad i want to see him snap and catch everyone who is used to him being the doormat off guard and get ANGRY. on his OWN behalf. because god knows i am!!!!!
