My initiale are AEA and my question is; when will I be socially accepted/more looked up to
The way I see it, what you aim to be is like the Page of Wands, represented by the Fire Element, he is the spark that sets people ablaze, in the best of meanings. The desire to let go of routine and adventure yourself into new things, bright burning passion.
However, if you consider the narrative displayed by the cards, it's already happening. People already love and accept you the way you are, they have strong connections with you, they welcome your presence as a special flame and cherish its warmth.
You may not feel it yet because the environment in which you're inserted might be very new still, you've only sowed your seeds in this place, give time to time so your seeds grows into steady roots. Don't take for granted what you receive from people either, admiration is something you harvest little by little.
Best of luck in your journey ✨
Small offerings are enough ✨
A while ago I got a small to medium rosemary plant, I've been feeling like caring for plants. I have special interest for the ones I can do infusions and curing, prefer aromatic and ornamental plants rather than flowers, but the most important of all, I was trying keep the plant alive because unlike my mom, I do not have that green thumb (and she'd take over in case the plant started getting ill)
The first sprout I harvested would be offered to Hekate, as it was Her the responsible for my awakening, so I left it by my altar to dry.
Once considerably dry I burned it in Her honor, along with music that chanted Her name, expressing my gratitude for so many blessings in a very personal and warm moment.
Where I live, with my parents I'm unable to follow certain traditional rites to their core. The best place to contact Hekate is on crossroads, where people leave their tributes or the leftovers of their crafts (with ecological consciousness). At the moment I can't really go in and out bringing offerings, so I fight with the weapons I have available.
But how do I know the offering was successful, that it was received and pleased Lady Hekate like I intended to?
First of all, putting your intention, wherever you are, will be the fuel the offering needs to achieve its destiny. Second, you will feel that not only said offering completed its course but also that it pleased (or not) the deity you want to contact.
As I've read on an older Hekatean devotee's testimony, Hekate is a subtle Goddess, her signs are deep and not at all noisy.
For me, the message came as an incredible sense of peace, happiness and realization, that small moment of connection made me feel like that's what I was born to do, how I wished to have awakened earlier in life as at the same time I'm grateful for having the opportunity to experience it now.
Rosemary is not Hekate's favorite herb, but it is my favorite, and what feels more special than being offered something that another person loves and desires to share with you? I think the Gods feel the same way, if your offer is filled with gratitude, positiveness, respect and strong intentions, it'll be appreciated.
Heya Hekate!
I keep seeing "Signs You're A Witch" type posts popping up in the tags and ohhhh I'm so tempted to start a fight.
For anyone that needs to hear it, there is NO SUCH THING as being a witch without knowing it.
Being a witch is not a birthright or a genetic marker or a secret superpower or some hidden trait that needs discovering. Being a witch is a conscious personal choice that is entirely up to the individual. There is power in walking the path BECAUSE it is a choice.
There is no quiz or infographic or reading that can tell you whether or not you're a witch. It doesn't matter whether you've had an affinity to magic and nature since childhood or are only just discovering the craft later in life. It doesn't matter if you've read every book on magic there is or only theorized about what you might like to do. (And yes, you can learn about witchcraft without ever being a witch.) The only one who can decide whether you're a witch is YOU.
And just to be SUPER clear on the matter, ANYONE can be a witch if they want to. Things like gender, race, religion, and physical ability are not determining factors.
Do you want to be a witch? Are you willing to self-identify as one, even just to yourself, and practice some form of witchcraft?
Congratulations! You can be a witch!
Give it a try if you want to. The path is yours to enter or leave as you will, for as long as you choose to explore it.
Hello there, I am CM!
What is my future spouse's most defining trait?
Thank you for doing this!
VIII - Justice
This card is exactly what it seems, Justice represents strong ideals, people true to their morals and integrity, the Justice's person is very loyal to the truth, objective and someone who deals with decisions with their most rational side. The Justice walks along great honesty, this person know actions are followed by consequences.
Tarot, in my learnings, is more of a mirror to the soul than it is a future telling tool, I honestly cannot describe your future spouse's qualities and flaws so precisely, but I can tell that you admire people who's got the Justice's traits, either because is complementary if you're an emotional person, or because you also have a more rational side yourself, so it's more likely, in the future, you'll look forward for someone that fit these preferences of yours.
I wish you luck in your journey Aqua 💜
Feedback on Xournal++: I love the customizable pages, the handwriting is super comfortable and the ability to save in pdf is super handy, the file is quite light too
i had some trouble setting up the plugins to make up the keybinds, and the pen display is a little buggy, but i think the final result is quite worth the tiny struggles.
This will be specially useful with to the image insert tool, i can import tarot card images for my studies, create hand drawn mood boards and import some little arts to decor each book!
I'll for sure have one file for my grimoire and one shadow book for devotion work, but there are infinite possibilities: dream journal, tarot notebook, recipes book, herb notes, spellcraft, and each can have their own covers!
If any Witch out there wants the plugins I'm using for xournal++ just DM me and I'll send your way, this tool has a lot of potential for people like us!
Posted in a community but wanted to ask my followers as well:
I feel like keeping a digital Grimoire would be easier for me than a traditional, physical one (which i own, but i rarely feel the desire/patience/comfort to write on it)
My computer is my safe nobody else has access to, plus i own a display tablet that makes it easy to handwrite, so would anyone out there have journal app recommendations?
What I'm looking for is a Windows app, stylus compatible, that has handwriting/doodling features and AI free if possible!
Atm I'm testing xournal++ but i find the user experience a little bad (a shame, bc it checks all my boxes above in terms of journalling)
If you have an app/know of something interesting please comment or reblog, I'd love to know!
May the Gods bless you day/night! ✨
Connection spread (analysis)✨
I got the chance to try a reading on two people's connection per request. It was hard as only one of them was present (person A), so I warned them about the difficult of sorting it out right for the missing person, I'm a beginner after all.
Cards' meaning under this spread is under the cut, this is merely an analysis on the results to help me get better on readings!
This reading is very clear, person A (cards 1-2 by the left) is committed to their connection, their challenge is to let go and move on from things that have hurted them in the past, which is easier said than done
Person B (cards 3-4 by the right) however is going through some internal battles, the Temperance suggests healing along with the Tower that implies in painful changes while everything seems to fall apart around them. Nonetheless, after the storm the sun will shine again and all the pain will be seen as valuable lessons
Card 5 represents their common force, the Hierophant says that both parts are taking their time to get better, chasing after knowledge that I believe is self knowledge.
As much as the two parts seem to be in the same page, the reading suggest it's best for them to follow their own paths, heal from their wounds before anything
The most surprising thing is, by this morning, I received a text from person A describing how person B texted them and talked a lot about how they are dealing with a lot of stuff in their personal life, trying to get things together.
It shouldn't surprise me as much as it did, but I really did not expect to see so many things fit together so fast, it all just makes me want even more to learn and get better
I was preparing both an ask box reading and weekly tarot before I realized I forgot one card on my shadow book when I was studying, therefore all the readings I've made are not valid ughhhhh
Sometimes I think my tarot can be mean to you guys in your questions, then I realize it's way meaner with my cousin, literally face slapping her every session lmao
hello !
For free reading: I was wondering how will my first year of uni experience be like?
Thank you in advance -ST ♌
VII - The Chariot
Your first year will be focused, you'll enter uni with thirst for knowledge and will to be the best of the class. The Chariot is a card about success in your battles, it suggests you'll enter to be the number one and run after your objectives, of course that cannot be the case every time so don't let frustration take over if something doesn't go according to plan.
This card shows great prospect and its advice is for you not to be too immediatist, take your time to sit down and enjoy the experience too, now that you're just starting it might feels like it'll take forever until graduation, but truth is that time flies by much faster than it looks like.
Much luck in this next stage of your life, ST 💜
February 25th, 2022
A whole year and some days since I felt something calling for me for the first time, something for which I officially gave up everything I was taught, but so far, I have not regretted my decision even once.
At this time I had been looking forward to meet the calls, my first contacts with wichcraft was through several Wiccan books that I could find around the internet, the basic guides about assembling your altar, witches' rules and the innumerous paths one could trail.
I did not know, at that time, that it was possible to honor the Goddess of Witches, all I've known about Her until then was through Greek adventure books read on high school, but even then I could feel her influence. I remember our teacher instructing us to pick our favorite Greek deity in order to make a presentation about them, needless to say who did I choose.
I chose Her and keep doing so, and it's an honor to think She chose me too.
Looking back, it warms my heart and brings me peace to think Lady Hekate was gifting me with something I've much longed for.
At that time I've just read the book about picking a wood stick to make your wand, it should be the lenght from your elbow until the tip of your middle finger, a gift made under my very measures. I would not have picked the wand so eagerly without that info prior, or would not have kept it for long, but at the right time, she brought it to me, right under a triple trunk tree. I took this photo in order to never forget this blessing.
Three years have passed since this, my beautiful wand is still with me, strong and radiant. Today it called for me, the wood was opaque and sad, I took some of the best paints I own and gave it another life.
Made a vibrant brown color for the wood and two special shades of green to never forget about the moss that came along with the wand, I also painted green the wires that hold still my pretties clear quartz on top, as well as adding different colors to the artificial flowers that tie this whole piece together.
When everything cured, I could feel the happy energy around it, beaming with its own representation of the nature it came from.
This makes me extremely happy and brings me peace, here I'm hoping my beloved tool will stay with me for many years to come.
And so be it! ✨
I'm so happy to see my blog hasn't been lost due to my absence and asks keep coming in! I think it's good to also let you know how to ask (specifically if you request readings from me)!
• First, if you're a minor please signalize so i can have an idea for how to interpret the cards (if there's no signal I'll consider you/people you ask about are over age)
• For a witch, I'm kinda skeptical on zodiac, I also haven't gotten to the astrological matters of tarot yet, so telling me your sign/moon/asc or not doesn't make any difference
• I also don't understand how emojis could help me know any better, if they're some kind of info I'd rather you write a short description on the matter instead
• Lots of requests are for love readings, it'd help a lot if you could tell me if your love interest is a crush, a friend, a stranger, a boyfriend, a fling, etc, so it gives me an idea of your intention and can make readings more accurate
• Do not put any personal/sensitive information into the asks, don't need to go into detail if you don't want to either, remember to tell only what you judge a stranger can know, your intention is enough
But you can also ignore everything above, the downside is you'll be trusting my intuition to know better and read the spread according to my own ideas.
If you'd like tarot readings focused on astrological signs unfortunately this is not the place yet, but I'm sure there are plenty of awesome tarot readers around tumblr you can ask!
Either way, you are more than welcome to give me feedback after you read your answers. I want to get better at this Art and I know I won't be right every single time, so if you can give me any light, even if it's small, I'd be incredibly grateful.
