Literally the scene I always think of when someone says Dean's straight/isn't inlove with Cas
"Dean Winchester is straight" is such a funny take. because there's like a VISIBLE correlation between Cas coming out of the bathroom all cleaned up and pretty and Dean Winchester sporting a boner.
It's... right there...
It obviously doesn't run in the family

Hey so I have something I'm trying to find? I saw a post a day or two ago that was talking about "all the things a show would have to do to make a gay relationship canon" and meanwhile it contained gifs after each step that were Destiel/Dean Winchester related. I don't know if I reblogged it, I don't think so. I very vividly remember that one of the first steps was something along the lines of "the male MC would have to openly check out men" and it had a gif of Dean checking a guy out outside of a glass door.
Can someone help me find it?
Richard was one of the directors for the confession I'm pretty sure and misha was told it was a romantic declaration of love so I definitely think they would see it even if they didn't know about misha saying it was a romantic confession
Rob and Rich are discussing episode 6x17 on the supernatural rewatch podcast and got to Balthazar’s comment about Cas being secretly in love with Dean and they’re all “ah foreshadowing!” “that was ahead of its time for when this aired, cool!”
if only they knew how the fandom was split between “Dean and Cas are canon” and “It’s just a joke guys, there’s nothing there”
it makes me crazy to think that they’re watching this in 2024/25 and it’s just a given that yeah of course Cas was in love with Dean way back in season 6, what else would that comment mean?
Wow even more evidence of Canon reciprocated destiel that makes me insanely confused that people don't see it
Sorry, but I just don't understand Destiel haters saying Dean's response (or lack thereof) to Cas' confession means he doesn't reciprocate, when *literally the exact same thing* happens in freaking Titanic:
Like seriously, Jack doesn't tell Rose he loves her (in those exact words) the whole movie, and when she says it to him, he responds basically the same way as Dean. Only there, no one doubts his feelings for her and Titanic is regarded as the most epic love story of all time...Obviously "don't do this/don't you do that" doesn't mean they don't love the other, they just don't want them to say "I love you" as a way of saying goodbye, which means leaving, which in both their cases means death...
I rest my case, your honor.
Really helps show that Dean is inlove with cas and that cas is inlove with Dean, like it shows that jensen and misha can act together without there being any romantic attraction yet when they play Dean and Cas there is romantic tension which shows that Dean and Cas were inlove
THE COMPLETE LACK OF ANY SEXUAL TENSION BETWEEN JIMMY NOVAK AND DEAN IS SO FUNNY
Happy birthday Dean! May you spend your day being lazy in bed with your husband
Even people like Cain (who had a total of 2 conversations with Dean and barely even a conversation with cas) clocked that Dean and Cas were inlove, like Cain told Dean about his past then the next conversation Cain put the people in deans life in the positions of people that were in cains life, Crowley's the acquaintance/friend that Dean would need a reason to kill but it's not a big deal for Dean to kill Crowley, but then the only person Cain talked about killing that actually hurt to kill (that wasn't his brother) was Collette then Cain clocked that Dean killing cas would hurt Dean just like it hurt Cain to kill Collette, and then of course ending with Sam his brother, and Cain made it a point to say that Dean was living cains life in reverse and purposely made a point that Dean killing cas would hurt Dean alot
how the hell does everybody in this damn show fully believe that dean and cas are gay for each other except for dean and cas
This show is like an anomaly, most of its fans or atleast the hellers absolutely love and hate this show at the same time, it is simultaneously the worst show and the best show and one of the most homophobic and gayest shows of all time, it was a series of coincidences and mistakes and repairs that made supernatural how it is and I can't think of any actual fan who would genuinely want to change it except for the very end of course
I love how supernatural accidentally made castiel trans and then canonically made him in love with dean. I also love how homophobic this gay show is. Like somehow these two things coexist and it’s crazy.
As a usually casual watcher, I'd say 6 and down is where it becomes more headcanon than Canon and 7 to 10 is where it's more Canon because 7 is where it's basically Canon but for whatever reason it's not confirmed and then 8 to 10 is Canon even if some people don't know if an 8 is Canon from casually watching
So I've been thinking about @macdenlover 's "levels of headcanon" chart (about how heavily a HC is influenced by canon), so I decided to make my own scale about how likely a HC is to be true (including different levels of canon) using queer cartoon characters as examples :)
I just spent an hour making this because I was bored. Enjoy. Image description under the cut.

[ID: a chart going from 10 to 1, with explanations of the ratings on the left and images of characters with queer flags and descriptions of said characters on the right.
10: "Explicit canon. Clearly stated in the original media." Trans Barney from Dead end Paranormal Park. "Barney says "I'm transgender"".
9: "Implicit canon. Never explicitly stated, but 100% canon in the original media". Nonbinary Raine from The Owl House. "Raine never says "I'm nonbinary," but uses they/them and is never referred to as a man/woman (also, confirmed by Dana)".
8: "Creator confirmation. Never stated in the original media, but confirmed canon by the media's creator". Aroace Lilith from The Owl House. "While never mentioned/implied in TOH, Dana has confirmed that Lilith is aroace".
7: "Heavily implied. Never confirmed, but likely true (either by canon evidence or creator implication)". Genderfluid Nimona from Nimona. ""Aaand now you're a boy" "I am today" (anyway, the whole movie has trans/GNC themes)".
6: "Possibly implied. Hinted at in the original media, but could be explained as something else". Trans Doofenschmirtz from Phineas and Ferb. "Doof COULD be transmasc, or the whole "raised as a girl" thing could just be for the bit".
5: "Fanon. Never confirmed, but generally accepted by the fandom". Aromantic Alastor from Hazbin Hotel. "While only confirmed to be ace, most of the fandom also sees Alastor as aromantic".
4: "HC with evidence. Headcanons supported by a dedicated fan's detective work". Bisexual Mabel from Gravity Falls. "People have noticed bi flag stickers hidden on Mabel's scrapbooks".
3: "Canon neutrality. Could be true, could be false, but overall makes sense and doesn't contradict the original media". Genderqueer Pleakley from Lilo and Stitch. "Maybe Pleakley is genderqueer, maybe he just wanted to crossdress for the mission, who knows? That's why it's a headcanon."
2: "I made it the fuck up. Based on vibes, has absolutely nothing to do with canon". Bisexual Megamind from Megamind. "No evidence, no explanation, he just has Disaster Bi™ vibes".
1: "Um? No? But go off. Directly contradicts canon (but who cares, that's why it's fun)". Trans Stanley Pines from Gravity Falls. "Even though flashback scenes prove Stan is AMAB, some people HC him as transmasc." End of ID.]
I feel like even if jensen said plainly that destiel is Canon and reciprocated, they would just move on to someone else like Jared or the cw and be like these people say it's not Canon so it isn't, because they need something to hate and if it seems like they're losing foothold to hate something then they'll find new foothold to hate it
No, an actor does not owe anyone to say anything when it comes to a character they play but also cmon man, it has been 15 fucking years, you can literally put stop to this once and for all.
