Why you should read this: it starts with the simple plot idea of "what if Sonic was the one to have found Shadow first in the lab" and then becomes an absolute masterpiece as Shadow discovers what is it like to actually be treated as a real being with feelings and what it is like to live life and he learns it side by side with Sonic and the help of the Wachowski family while the events of the Movie takes place differently. Not gonna lie its angsty and dark and so full of love your heart will explode - and you should really be mindful of the tags - but it's so worth it I've harassed the author with comments about how amazing this was for the past two days and you should do the same
