Dating Caroline Harvey was one of the best things that could ever have happened to you. She was the sweetest girl you have ever met and she loves treating you like a princess. Her team treats you good too, not only because your dating there teammate your also there manager and do so much for them.

You walk into the gym where some of the girls were working out after practice. You sit down next to Laila another one of the girls on Wisconsins hockey team, “Hey how was practice sorry I missed it” you say looking at her before your eyes move to your blonde girlfriend whose bench pressing.

Laila nudges you “I’ll tell you if you stop oogling at ya girl ya freak” she laughs and you turn your head to face her a blush covering your cheeks, body warm. You shove the taller girl back “Shut up” you say dragging your words together. The taller girl rolled her eyes “Me and Caroline are watching the game tonight in her dorm. Are you gonna be there too?” Laila asks you knowing damn well you moved in with Caroline weeks ago.

“Girl you know damn well” you tell her before Caroline drops her sets and comes up to you all sweaty. She sits down next to you and puts her head on your shoulder “Hi baby” she whispers kissing your cheek. Her sweaty hands grab your waist and you move away “No your sweaty go shower now” you tell her inching closer to Laila who was all ready showed and clean. Laila nods “Hit the showers Harvey” she laughs at the groan the blonde made before getting up and stomping away from both of you who were laughing at her.

Once KK gets out of the showers she meets you, outside of the locker room “How was practice KK?” you ask her wrapping an arm around her waist, while her arm goes around your shoulders. She squeezes you closer to her “It was okay baby” she tells you leading her back to her dorm.

She opens the door for you and her hand finds the small of your back, leading you to your bed. Her hands take off your shoes for you and massage up your calves “I should be giving you a massage not the other way around” you whisper. Caroline shakes her head “but you’re my princess” she teases kissing up your calves before standing up putting her hands on your thighs and kissing you.

You smile into the kiss and she pulls away “Are you hungry? I’ll make you whatever you want” she asks you standing above your looking down at you, sitting on your bed. You shrug “I don’t know maybe pizza, but not the fast food one, homemade” you tell her looking up into her pretty blue eyes. You hand comes to her cheek caressing it brushing a piece of her blonde hair from her face. She nods “I’ll cook it for you” she winks walking into the kitchen. You grab a pair of KK’s shorts and a random black tube top, before going into the bathroom. You start a hot bath for yourself and grab your phone playing some R&B, you put lavender and rose oils into the bath and slowly get in.

Your body relaxes in the warm water and you close your eyes leaning your head back. You don’t know how long time has passed until you here the bathroom door open, Caroline smiles at you and gets in her knees next to the bath “Hi princess” she says before running her fingers through your hair.

“Hi baby” you lean back more into the bath looking at her “When’s Laila coming over?” you ask her wondering when you should get out of the bath. Caroline shrugs “Soon I think pizzas in the oven I made your favorite for you” she tells you her big hand still in your hair.

Caroline is so thoughtful like that, if you want something she’s getting it for you. You smile at her tilting your head to the side “Thank you KK” you look at her face then down to her lips before leaning up and out of the tub to kiss her. Her hand moves to hold the back of your head while she kisses back. She pulls away and caresses your cheek “Come on baby let’s get you dressed so we can watch the game” she says holding your hands helping you of the tub. She looks at you up and down licking her lips “God you’re fucking gorgeous” she tells while wrapping a towel around you.

You blow her a kiss and she drys your body off for you before helping you slide into her shorts “I need underwear KK” you deadpan and she shakes her head while saying“Na” you roll your eyes and slide the black tube top over your body. She grabs your brush and takes you down to your guys bed before making your sit down with her behind you. She brushes out of your wet hair for a bit before moving it to the side and kissing your neck lightly you moan quietly “Fuck KK” you whisper before she stops and gets up grabbing your hand leading you into the living room.

She flinches getting in front of you blocking you from walking further “Bro Laila where the fuck did you come from” Caroline says rolling her eyes before going into the kitchen to check on the pizza. You smile at Laila and sit next to her while she laughs her ass off on how she scared KK. You slap her shoulder “Shut up it’s not that funny” you defend.

KK comes in the living room and puts the pizza down infront of you and hands you some water. You kiss her cheek “Thanks Babe” you tell her.

Caroline points her finger in Laila’s face “How did you get in here? You scared the shit outa me” she asks looking at you for a second then back at her teammate. Laila shrugs “The door was unlocked dumbass you lucky it was me and not some crazy ass fan” the taller girl says rolling her eyes before grabbing a slice of pizza. Your girlfriend side eyes her before turning the game on and you put your legs in her lap. She grabs a slice of pizza and takes a bite before bringing it to your lips so you can eat. Laila groans “Ugh why do I gotta third wheel all the time” she complains. You turn your head to look at her and wink “You mad you single Lili” you tease pouting at her.

“Open baby” KK says before feeding you another bite of pizza. You grab the pizza from her hand and wave it in Laila’s face “Want to be feed to babygirl” you tease laughing at the girl. Laila shoves your hand out of her face and flips you off ignoring you and turning her full attention to the game. KK massages your calves with both her hands you take a few more bites of the pizza while watching the hockey game. You turn your head to KK and kiss her cheek before leaning close to her ear “Thank you baby” you say before laying your head on her shoulder.

She brings one hand to wrap around your shoulders, and she opens her mouth as you feed her the rest of the pizza. Laila sits at the other side of the couch groaning “I need a new pookie because this ain’t fair” she groans again. You laugh at her and throw a pillow at her face, she catches it and ignores you. KK kisses your forehead and pulls you closer to her as you both watch the game together.

"i missed you," she says, and kk moves closer before capturing your face in her warm palms, and planting a soft kiss on your nose as she presses you against her. as much as kk would love to hug you for what she wanted to be an eternity, she knows she cannot stay like this forever, at least not while being crowded by the team, staff and cameras— although she's considered it more deeply, she figured that she could be able to hug you from day to night without letting you go, but people might start saying stuff about the both of you so that'll be a negative and turn things uncomfortable. since the early stages of your relationship, aubrey has shown that she prioritizes this relationship, the indications of her protectiveness towards you— because obviously, she knows you are too. even though she knows you are capable of doing things on your own, but she wants to be the one who does them for you instead.

it's her way of showing you her love in a sense that rather go unseen in a friendship than in a relationship in which telling you her affection through words or physical touch— with her heart-melting gestures, anytime you guys are walking down the street and your on the street side she would literally pull you to the other side closer to the shops around you and simply kept walking like nothing happened

You and Paige have been dating since highschool. You two were always inseparable, she was you missing piece. We rarely ever argue when we did we always apologized immediately. Since y'all went to the same college there was a change though.

Paige had always treated basketball like it was the only thing in her life that mattered. For the most part that was true. Sure, she had her family, but they were back in Michigan and there was only so much she could do with that situation.

Sometimes basketball was pushed to the back of her mind when she was with you. She valued the way you could help her wind down after a tough practice, or if they lost a game you knew exactly how to make her forget about it. It was like you were a personal mind clearer.

But that was all in highschool. Now that you two were in College it was all different. She would often forget y'all dates, missed out on a birthday, and even missed on a anniversary. It was fine the first few times then it got consent. Her excuse was always that it was basketball's fault.

Every lost or bad practice brought her home offly upset. You reassured her after each bad game or practice that there would be better games, and that she played amazing but she always say that you wouldn't understand.

Your friends always tried to keep you busy while she was out. After the lost to Iowa she picked up extra summer stuff. She was out for most hours of the day. At team practices, weight training, and dragging into her own personal time with extra workouts and practice drills.

Her mindset was that if her playing was perfect, she'd win. But it still didn't help. Well kind of.

At this point, you barely saw her. Even with living in the same dorm, she'd pretty much only be there in the very early morning or very late night, mostly while you were asleep.

Not only was her doing constant summer training affected her, it was affect you and your relationship with her. She was pulling away from you, whether she realized it or not, and it was hurting you more than she knew. It was pieces of the puzzle y'all built was breaking.

It was a late night for you. You were reading one of your favorite books that you found, sitting on yours and Paige's shared bed which had felt incredibly empty for the past few months. The only sense of comfort was the book and the shared dog y'all have that was asleep on the bottom of the bed.

You had 'White Ferrari' by frank ocean blasting in your headphones. You didn't even hear the front door open and close along with footsteps. You were interrupted from your from music from a tap on your shoulder. You looked up to see a blue eyed blonde that was clearly exhausted.

She had came home at whatever time it was, her eyebrows shooting up in surprise when she saw you still awake. "What're you doing up?" She said quietly before moving to go over to grab clothes to change into from the dresser.

"Reading a book i recently found," you mumbled. You had mentioned it to her before, as she had caught you reading on it in the late nights and early mornings, but it seemed to have slipped her mind.

"Oh," was all she managed before changing into clothes to sleep in. She went into your shared bathroom to brush her teeth.

You sighed and looked up at her. "I've mentioned it to you before, you've seen me reading it before," you said, annoyance laced in your tone. She came back in the room and started petting the dog that was laying on the end of the bed.

Her brow furrowed as she looked at you. "You don't need to get pissy with me, I just forgot." She scoffed then focused back on the dog.

"You've been forgetting a lot of things lately, Paige. And don't scoff at me," you let out a shaky breath, pushing your book off of your lap and sliding out of bed. "Christ, you almost forgot our date a few weeks ago."

"Sorry l've been busy, l've had a lot on my mind," she said firmly.

"Bullshit!! You only cared about basketball meanwhile i've been waiting here for atleast a conversation with you. Your never here with me. Damn it your lucky i still care for you still", You let out with a shaky breath.

She looked at you in shocked at your sudden outburst, but you cut her off with the wave of a hand. "Don't even start," you started to raise your voice. "I- no, our relationship has been on the backburner ever since your lost to fucking Iowa! I get it, babe, basketball is important to you, and it takes a lot of time and effort but-"

Your voice cracked and tears welled in your eyes. You felt horrible for yelling at her but its how you felt."You've been gone, Paige. For two fucking months, l've felt like l've been on my own. Sometimes it just feels like I'm in a one sided relationship, like you don't want me anymore. Do you even care for me anymore?"

"I-I will always care for you still and i will forever", she said looking up at you with a frown. Before she could speak again you respond, "Sure- start acting like it", you say as tears roll down your face.

Paige's face fell at your words, and she felt a pit forming in her stomach. She stepped towards you, bringing her hands up to cup your face, wiping a tear with the pad of her thumb. "I- I'm sorry, mamas, I don't want you to feel that way, but-"

You scoffed and stepped back. "There's always a but, isn't there," you said flatly. With a shake of your head you turned towards the bedroom door. "I'm sleeping on the couch. Less room for it to feel so empty like how its been for months," you spat with a shaky voice before leaving the room.

She cleared her throat as she seen your puppy follow after you. It feels like the puppy was judging her too.

The door slammed and Paige looked down at the ground, her hands now on her lap as she sat there, letting every word you said sink in. She knew she fucked up badly.

She realized now that she was losing you and your trust, that you were slipping away, and it was all her fault. She had been so absorbed by basketball and traveling that she forgot about you.

There had never been a day in her life where she felt worse. Not even when she torn her acl.

That night Paige slept in silence. Drowning herself in thoughts on how she would make it up to you.

The next day Paige decided to cut off all her basketball duties and focus on you. She started off by making you breakfast for you in the morning. She burnt the bacon a little but she felt you wouldn't mind.

When she finished making the eggs, bacon, and pancakes she woke you up. You woke up with a little back pain, you were woken up the blue eyes darting at you. You frowned at first but your emotion changed as soon as you seen the tray filled with your favorite breakfast and drink.

You smiled and looked up at her and took the tray. "I- um i thought i should apologize for last night you were right ive been ignoring you but i wanna change that", she said tripping on her words scratching her neck.

She then passed you a bouquet of your favorite flowers and a note. You finished your breakfast then moved onto the note that read :
