i feel like i’m seeing a lot of “grass is greener” syndrome in many marginalized communities rn and i do not love it.
Okay I made a gofundme to help pay for hotel stays and the last of my top surgery fees. I’ve never done this before so I’m extremely uncomfortable and feeling Very Bad about it, but here’s the link. There is going to be absolutely no guilt-tripping here so don’t feel in any way obligated to give me money lol. Oh ew I also just realized this has my full name on it. Big yikes there
im so done with seeing articles about kids and screen time that doesnt mention parent behaviors even once. “kids are always on their phones” so are the parents! which the kids look to for how they should behave! ipad babies didn’t chose to only play on their ipads, thats what their parents gave them!
an anecdotal example: when i was a kid, all my parents would do in their minimal free time was watch tv and then they would be surprised when in my sister and i’s minimal free time we would also only watch tv/play video games. they scolded us for not reading books, but they never read books. they scolded us for not going outside but they never went outside.
“kids are always on their damn phones” my mom is in her 60s and opens up candy crush anytime she’s sitting — it isnt just the kids

Bathroom accessibility is not limited to mobility aids.
Bathroom accessibility is also having hooks to hang medical equipment.
I went to Walmart today and none of the bathroom stalls had hooks for my feeding tube backpack. Not even the disabled stall. They were intentionally removed by the store.
These hooks are important because we shouldn’t have to put our equipment on the floor and risk god knows what by contaminating our backpacks in the public bathroom.
Bathroom accessibility is having a fully equipped disabled stall or single use bathroom, hooks for medical equipment/bags, infant/child AND adult changing tables, sharps containers, free pads/tampons, and having a free to access, fully functioning and clean bathroom at all times.
If you’re fine with queer culture being destroyed then you don’t deserve to be a part of it. Why do you think we should respect your religion when you don’t respect our existence? You post nonstop about how queer people hate Jewish people, but are you surprised when you endorse takes like that? Nothing would be lost from the world if there were no more Jewish people. If queer culture gets destroyed, then millions of queer people will grow up miserable. That’s the difference.
i’m not gonna publish the rest of the asks i got abt that post bc some of them are vile but i think this one is probably the most egregious.
“nothing would be lost from the world if there were no more jewish people.”
Help for Lola!
Lola is a Nigerian trans woman who needs safe housing IMMEDIATELY. Her neighborhood is getting more and more dangerous as Nigeria gets more and more homophobic and transphobic, so she has to move. She's had to put her education on hold because of this. She needs funds for both safe housing and also hormones, so we're setting the goal at $1400 USD to help her.
WGA on strike….DGA and SAG rumored to follow soon….let’s fucking GOOOOOOOOOO
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! As a person of predominantly Irish American heritage, I’ve had many an argument w/ my more racist family members about the wildly inaccurate story they tell themselves in an effort to be victims and invalidate Black Americans’ true experiences of racism and the legacy of slavery. So just spreading a dose of reality today!

“this bathroom is accessible!!1!1”
if my chair was one (1) inch longer, the door wouldnt have shut. this stall was also the exact same size as the non-accessible stall next to it. you cant just slap some grab bars on it and call it accessible 🙄
image ID: first image: a shot of someone sitting in their wheelchair in a bathroom stall, the stall is so small that the edge of the toilet hits their knees. the stall is very narrow as well. there are grab bars on the walls around the toilet. second image: a shot from the other view showing how the wheelchair fits in the stall. the back wheels hit the stall door, and there is about an inch between the footplate and toilet. end ID.
