It’s been a year Vanessa Guillen was killed and found. Her death could’ve been prevented if her sexual assault claims were answered.
Change.org has a petition to create a new law in honor of her. You can donate but if you can’t, share this.

Astrid West is a tough, no-nonsense girl. She’s not afraid to pick a fight with others to protect the innocent. Most of the time, her strive to be a hero stops her from living a regular, civilian life. She’s the type of person who always wears leather jackets and combat boots.
Due to a traumatic event, Astrid has trouble trusting others, and prefers to do things alone. She can be pretty violent when she fights, but it depends on her emotions and how dangerous her opponent is.
Astrid chose to take the mantel of Artemis because she admires her mother. She specializes in archery, gymnastics, and hand-to-hand combat. Her interest and training in archery began when she was six, and grew skilled enough to shoot an arrow blindfolded or with her feet. Athletics is Astrid’s strong point since she is the star player on the track and gymnastics team. She has been offered to attend a school for future Olympic competitors.
Along with her best friend Gwendolyn, Astrid loves dogs. Gwen and her are “mothers” to two dogs named Carla and Gino. When it comes to the two girls’ relationship, they see each other as best friends and sisters. Gwendolyn is the only person who could weaken Astrid’s walls, and get her to listen.
1. A big reason why Splinter is dedicated to being a good father is because his father left his mother and him when he was younger. He doesn’t want his sons to ever feel abandoned and unloved like he did.
It would also be a reason why Splinter took the Turtles in immediately after meeting them.
2. A reason why Splinter lost his athletic build was because he went through a depressive state. He lost of his motivation and missed his past life. If the turtles didn’t stay with him, things would have turned for the worse.
Thoughts? 😊❤️
I really want to do this new trend for shipping characters, but I don't know how. Can someone tell me how?
To my non-artists Rise fans, have you ever felt so annoyed that you couldn’t draw what you envision in your mind?
I’m feeling it right now. I want to draw my Rise versions of TMNT characters like Usagi, Mona Lisa, and Leatherhead so badly but I can’t draw to save my life- let alone in Rise style.
Also, I have this fun weapon idea for Future April where she has two titanium bats for close range fighting and they transform into guns- one is a shot gun and the other is a sniper. The grip of the bat would bend for the bullet chambers and the knob would have the trigger. The other end of the bat would open for the bullets to fire. There would also be a slit where the scope would pop out.
Of course, Donnie built it for her.
(I’m just so bummed that I can’t draw and too poor to ask for a commission to be.
Help Stop a Law that Helps Domestic Abusers
https://chng.it/ffXFHvSwsL
From the petition page:
According to current Virginia law—unless the abuser agrees to a no-fault divorce—victims of domestic abuse are not eligible to be granted a divorce where their spouse has been guilty of “cruelty, caused reasonable apprehension of bodily hurt, or willfully deserted or abandoned” them until one full year from the date of such act. Even if a victim is physically separated from their spouse, during this time period, they can still be subjected to psychological, emotional, and financial abuse.
I have a theory/idea that Rain was a god but was cast down by his parents and became a mortal. Because I hoped for demigod Rain to be explored in this timeline, I don’t like the idea of Rain being a sorcerer. It’s not the worst decision since Rain can still be a well-written character, though I was still disappointed.
This idea came to me randomly so it’ll most likely be disjointed which I apologize for. I was inspired by Greek mythology. There is a story of Zeus stripping his children, specifically Apollo, of their powers and making them mortals so they learn a lesson.
Here is my theory/idea:
Born the youngest son of the gods Argus and Delia, Rain was a powerful god of water. He had a happy life with his parents and brothers- Taven and Daegon, but grew to be arrogant and believing mortals were lesser than him. This attitude led to his downfall. Alongside his brothers, Rain threatened to harm a country due to them not worshiping his family to his satisfaction. Disgusted by their children’s behavior, Argus and Delia stopped their children and planned to punish their children accordingly. With the help of Liu Kang, Argus and Delia decided to strip their sons’ godhood and have them reborn in the mortal realm- Outworld- so they learn to appreciate and care for mortals. Rain- regressed to a baby- would be raised as Zeffeero by a woman called Amara. He would grow to be kinder and ambitious, leading him to learn sorcery and become the kingdom’s high mage; I headcanon that Rain used his water magic to heal people as well. He’d live his life on the right path until Shang Tsung manipulated him and unleashed his darker impulses. His actions in the game would still be the same, including his sort of redemption in his tower ending.
In a future game, the Taven/Daegon plot could return though, instead of their quest is to prevent Armageddon, Rain, Taven, and Daegon would race to their family’s original temple (through memories and clues left by their parents) for the chance to regain their godhood as long as they are deemed worthy. Other characters can be involved by the villains learning this and trying to achieve godhood while the heroes try to stop them. This gives NRS the opportunity to bring back Taven, Daegon, Argus, Delia, and Blaze into the New Era. Rain’s story could end either with him being a god again but with a better understanding and care for mortals or he decides to stay mortal.
I don’t think this will happen in the game since I think the canon reason why Rain is not a god/demigod is because Liu Kang didn’t want to risk him becoming the arrogant, power-hungry person he was in previous timelines. Also, the Armageddon tower was already referenced in MK1 so it'll most likely not come back.
I am totally guilty for having crushes on TMNT characters-especially my blue-banded husbando.
I’ve had crushes on almost every iteration of Leonardo. The 2012 Leo is #1.
He’s just so sweet, brave, strong, and a great swordsman. His voice was heaven to my ears, especially when it changed in season 3. Leo also has the cutest smile. Still have a crush on him to this day.
I also had a crush on 2012 Donnie because of how cute and smart he is. Donatello was my second favorite in the series. Rob Paulsen did a really good job making him super likable. Donnie’s smile is almost as cute as Leo’s.
Are There Any Actors That You Want to Voice a TMNT Character?
I don’t really have that many since I never really focus on a celebrity’s voice and say, “Their voice can fit this character.”
But, if I think about it for a moment, I think Jesse McCartney(he voices Nightwing in Young Justice) would be good for Leo or Donnie since Nightwing is generally similar to them.
Ryan Potter could be a good Leo or Mikey since he’s done a fun and naive kind of character like Beast Boy from Titans.
Maybe Will Smith could be a good Bebop. 2012 Bebop had this sly, comedic attitude and I think Will Smith would do a good job.
Ron Pearlman would do really good as Bishop similar to the 2003 series. He has a sinister and calculated voice he used for Slade from Teen Titans.
Stephanie Lemelin(Artemis from Young Justice) would be a cool choice for a more tough and badass April.
I’m interested to see you guys’ choices. 😁
*If you have a specific voice your voice actor choice does, can you mention that so I can what your choice fully meant. Thanks.*
*This is purely my perspective. I’m mostly talking about the 2017 version but both could work in this*
I’ve been rewatching the Darkwing-centered episodes so I could do an analysis on Drake. I really like him and is in my top 10 list. I see a lot of myself in him. He’s also an adorable dumb*ss.
Anyway, after watching these episodes, I came up with a theory on why DW doesn’t like Gizmoduck.
In Drake’s eyes, being a hero is willing to risk everything for the world’s protection, especially your own body. His inspiration is a fictional version of DW who is willing to get himself hurt to get the job done.
Drake looks down on heroes who don’t follow this ideal, which is where is disdain for Gizmoduck comes in.
Fenton wears a suit to protect himself and hold his gadgets-which is not bad; Iron Man does it. Yet, Drake sees the suit as Gizmo’s “cowardice” or “reluctance” to be a real hero. He sees himself as a better hero because he doesn’t wear protection.
This is how I think Drake processes this, “I’m better than Gizmoduck because he is a regular person who is not willing to risk everything. I don’t wear a stupid suit to protect myself.”
What are your thoughts? Do you think this could be accurate? 😁
Thoughts on S4 so Far? + Mine
I have this weird relationship with S4. The writing has improved and I’m glad that the original characters are getting attention, but this season still feels somewhat off to me.
I guess I’m still apprehensive about how the show is handling the characters. More of them are being added like M’gann’s sister and Onyxx when we already have so many more characters that were added on the previous two seasons. The show still feels congested.
Another thing that might be bothering me is Greg Weissman saying that there can be 3 more seasons for the show and that the characters’ stories never end. I really like Young Justice but I don’t think it needs 3 more seasons. The story, plot twists, and characters will get bland at some point like the ‘find the traitor’ plot point. I’m glad the writers didn’t keep this idea going on for the whole season but the trope is kind of stale right now since it’s been used so many times.
Maybe I’m nervous to love this season because of the underlying issues still being around.
Feel free to mention your thoughts.
