🌅 Max was always so infuriated with the way Nurf treated Preston, but couldn't ever show it.

🌄 He'd never felt like he should help anyone before, nevermind the theatreboy. It just pissed him off whenever Nurf raised his voice at Preston, he didn't even do anything wrong!

⛺️ Max had shrugged it off as just being overdramatic, until later in the night. He'd heard soft sobbing, and decided to follow the noise.

🎑 It confused him when he ended up at Preston's tent. They were both reluctant to talk at first, but eventually spent the whole night together talking and giggling. <3

Picture this Zutara fandom… 

Post ATLA one of Zuko’s advisers tries to question his legitimacy to the throne by claiming Katara should have been crowned Fire Lord because she won the Agni Kai against Azula. And the mean advisor gets up in Zuko’s face and is all like: “So unless Master Katara is secretly your wife…” 

And Katara has the biggest smile on her face, before she tells the advisor: “Oh you have no idea.” 

And so begins a 30-chapter slowburn fanfic about how Zuko and Katara bamboozle the more treacherous members of his court and fall in love… 

Yay? Nay? Do we want to adopt this headcanon from Zutara twitter too?

Atla Gen Week 2022.

Day 2: Culture.

The Fire Nation has some strange and extreme customs. Some just.

In the first vignette, teenage Azula, Zuko and Lu Ten walking uphill toward a volcano. The setting is tropical and the three are seen from the back. Azula says “Since the last eruption of that volcano 50 years ago, new species of plants continue to be found”, Lu ten replies “Excellent! It is an opportunity to see first hand what is there”, and Zuko mentions “Who knows, we might find some hallucinogenic mushrooms that I’m missing”.

In the second vignette, Zuko and Azula are shown in the foreground observing some mushrooms on some rocks with other plants. Azula says “I don’t think you have those in your collection, Zuzu” and Zuko adds “I had never even seen this mushroom before”.

In the third vignette, Lu Ten quickly snatches the mushroom from the rock and chews it, saying “For science!”, while Zuko and Azula look scared and surprised yelling “Lu Ten, no!!”.

In the fourth vignette, there is a note in the Recipe Book that says “An investigation after the incident with the Fire Lord Lu Ten, the use of that mushroom was allowed as an ingredient for an exotic culinary sauce, which properly prepared and depending on its concentration, its effects vary from sweating to hallucinogenic visions”. Master Pakku promised that he would keep an eye on Zuko (a promise made to both the chief and to Iroh). Pakku had initially thought the prince would be selfish and rude, but watching him spar with the other boys, it's obvious the kid is actually a little ball of nervous energy ready to be told he failed. Time will tell if he's any good at fighting, but maybe Pakku needs to step in and offer a bit of tutoring.

The fire nation after finding out their fire lord is dating both sokka and Suki: so um...who’s gonna be the fire lady?

Sokka, immediately: ME!

Everyone: um, sokka...

Sokka: what?! Suki is already a kyoshi warrior AND the captain of zuko’s personal guard, so I get to be the fire lady! When’s my coronation and who’s gonna get me my tiara?

Ok but Zuko using the knowledge he acquired during his banishment to help him as the Fire Lord. Like making small talk with Earth Kingdom dignitaries about their local foods that he enjoyed and even misses. Like having in-depth conversations with his captains about sea currents and navigation. Like, in the middle of a meeting with several high-ranking naval officials, pointing out flails in security, like how a person can cling to a Fire Nation ship for hours at a time, or climb aboard using hatches on the upper decks, or disguise themselves as a lower ranking guard with easily accessible spare armour….

Though none of his experiences can prepare Zuko for the long, awkward silence that comes after he admits to doing or at least knowing something illegal and/or completely buck wild

Why aren’t there more fics out there where the Gaang finds out just how much knowledge Zuko has on Avatars and Airbenders? There is no way your telling me that Zuko wouldn’t have read every scroll on the subject that he could get his hands on. I can just see him surprising everyone with his knowledge. He would probably even know who got married and had kids. And it’s probably stuff that even aang hadn’t found out about yet
