that is how I (haha, let us say NORMALLY, though the war must not be a part of daily routine), again, NORMALLY live, and honestly, it is nothing comparing to the eastern part of Ukraine.
I just want you to know ruzzians try to kill us while yer tolerating em all year by year.
цю частину тексту я пишу лише для українців: тримайтеся, тримайтеся далі, тримайтеся, як на початку, щоб побачити кінець геноциду української держави.
It had been two days ago when I quickly drew Republic Ireland because of danger of r*ssian attacks. The lights turned off that time and I was afraid the sketch was not saved. (It would be better me to worry about my life, but not the sketch firstly :/) Luckily, it was (saved), but it made me to think in a bit about other artists in general. Thus, I would like ye all to know: behind the sketches of many Hetalia artists is the gloom of the war. They draw smiles of their characters, but it can be they cried of fear a few hours ago. oh, and a tiny note about me: I hate when people try to explain me they keen on r*ssian Hetalia character and "he dezerv fo hapPEEnezz he iz so pOOr and lOnlEy" (it is sad and rude to say we know more about this country which is our neighbour killing us since 17th century or earlier). it only shows people do not understand Himaruya's tough satire and support romanticism of the bloody psychopath (whose real nation hate foreign countries and shitting em all daily but "hoo carez he dezerVe fo hapEEneZ").
currently, there are 19 people died because of ruzzians in Kryvyi Rih. 9 of them are children (preschool aged and teens).
Just two days after the previous strike, russia hits Kryvyi Rih again. They struck a residential area, next to a playground. In the early evening, when parents and children were outside.
As of now, 14 people are known to have been killed, including 6 children.
In the photo, parents stand over the body of their killed 15-year-old son.
Back in 2022, the world was saying "russian war of aggression will not be normalised". Today, in 2025, we are just numbers. Russia killing Ukrainians for the sin of existing has been normalised. Our lives are a boring statistic and our tragedies barely ever make it into the world news. Because this is no longer news.
dirty, broken, pathetic but beloved.

(you know I do not mean a pudding.)
I found it among the sketches I had drawn having Chinese language classes...and I think there is no need to translate it - THE "MUGS" TELL MORE THAN WORDS DO.
it frankly was quick enough (it took only 43 minutes). I felt...I ought to make it :0
oh sheesh, I forgot I have a tumbler account! well, I am going to graduate university (actually, it is going to be in 2024, though nobody cares, ha-ha) and that is why my activity is so low: term papers, seminars, English and Chinese languages blah-blah. however, I have something (actually strange) to share...ugh...do not think I disrespect Ireland, just my drunk immoral jokes. next time it would be nice to draw Wales.
Today, I found a post of a non-European who complained about how the Spanish criticized foreigners for nor speaking Spanish. It reminds me of posts about how Europeans hate when Americans are not bilingual or are not speaking their mother tongue.
As an Eastern European, specifically, as a Ukrainian, I personally give no sheesh whether you speak Ukrainian or not. However...
First, not all Ukrainians speak English/Spanish/French/German etc.
You cannot simply come here and expect us to speak English fluently. Elder generations speak English badly, my generation (um...actually, I am not gen Z according to our generation theory...I am Y...uummmm...however!) also refuses to speak (but learns), the youngest gen Alpha cannot speak English yet. Why? Because we cannot practice it, we have no extra money to travel all around the world (even before the war, ye know), and as an English language teacher, I have to say the methods of teaching English in Ukraine are...particularly ineffective. Same situations with less spreaded languages.
Second, we want you to speak Ukrainian.
It is a common situation (especially before the war) when a foreigner surely learns French or German but thinks English will be enough in Ukraine. You may say that is because Slavic languages are hard to (at least) speak, but many of you choose russian to learn. Moreover, there are absolutely brainless and somehow pragmatic people (yeah, Chinese, I am speaking about you) thinking it is enough to speak russian in Ukraine, the mother language of Ukrainians does not matter.
We want you to speak Ukrainian. We do not really care how bad you speak. We will surely (try to) understand you and correct if it is necessary. Our language is unique, and we want not only all the Ukrainians to speak it but also foreigners to learn.
btw how did I learn English...? well...I am a philologist of English and Chinese languages, and I have a bachelor degree (yet).
теє-то, кулєги, поширюйте допис, я пітнів і без перекладача писав, як справжній профі!
This is my dad. Volodymyr Torbynsky, who died on January 15, 2025. He was 55. He died defending Ukraine from russian invaders. russians killed him. Please, remember him. He is a hero.
Thank you all for your support, kind words and help. I really appreciate it.
p.s. Remember that the war is not over. Remember everyone, who fought for their country. Remember the price. The daily price of our freedom.
russia is a terrorist state.

I somehow missed the interview on Cracker Island album (well, I was to busy to even drink water in 2022 and 2023, so...), my bad. however, Murdoc did not changed that radically, I am glad.
