All the therian meetups videos I've ever seen are wolves running and playing in forests and parks. I think we as reptile therians need to get together and lay on some sunny rocks.
A physical nonhuman is anyone who is physically nonhuman, inhuman, or dishuman. Nonhumanity is the state of which one is not human. Inhumanity is the state of which one is not ordinarily human. Dishumanity is when someone is dis-human, excluding or the opposite of humanity. This includes;
Holotheres

Endels

Clinicals

(If you have another source OTHER than a wiki or medical web, made by clinicals, i would be so happy to change the link.)
Shifters

Most of these listed above are the most common reasons for being physically nonhuman and has nothing to do with being the only way to be physically nonhuman.
Outsiders tend to separate these into boxes, which is what we don't want to do when talking about identity. But the degrees of physical are not boxes, but they are describing the degree between physical, somatic, and metaphysical.
In general, Shifters can encompass all three at the same time. Clinicals and Endels usually encompass the somatic area, but can blend into the others with possible metaphysical/spiritual influences. Holotheres, like Shifters, can encompass all three. At the end of the day, it is very easy to break out of these three and simply be physically nonhuman in whatever way you want.
as another fae animal, I think we’re naturally good at mimicking those around us. We mimic their forms and we mimic their behavior even though we are naturally distinct from it. By that I mean that we are at our core different, however we’re good at making it seem like we’re a part of this human society.
I don’t know if what I’m saying makes sense exactly, it’s hard to put into words. But I think what you’re saying is an interesting conversation, and I’d like to hear other changelings’ views.
at times i wonder, was *i* specifically switched in for my human counterpart when i was young because my individual fae character makes it easy for me to mimic my parental figures, or does my fae character make it easy for me to "leach" personality traits off of guardians and mirror them to make them more likely to accept me as a fake fae child?
is it an inherent changeling/fae trait? Seems likely honestly, as the ability to instinctively mirror traits to people when young while knowing they're only performed will make your survival and blending in more likely; and specially as a fae animal and not a human-like fae.
HEY THERIANS!!!
Reblog if you wouldn’t mind compliments based around your theriotype(s)! :D
There’s something about the games ability to just let you be feral that delights me. I am nowhere near a wolf and yet, I can experience the wild in this game in a way which just makes me happy in spite of the species difference. Revel in wildness not matter the form.
oo guys, if any of you stim to music please send me your most stimmy (stimmiest?) songs, I wanna make a playlist
(my favorite is kara kara kara no kara by kikuo)
Hello, have question regarding changelings. What qualify as one? Have be fae? Am not human, am dragon winter spirit, made look like human and raised by, but know not real parents. Resonate lot with last post, and even other things read about changelings, so made wonder if can be called one, if is "broad term" for nonhuman creatures exchanged/replaced at birth, or if is more specific to species or something similar.
@winter-cub
I don’t think there is an exact definition to changeling. We’re not exactly a species but more of a category of creatures swapped for human young. For me personally the fae aspect is a big part of my changeling identity. However, I don’t see why another creature switched at birth couldn’t be considered a changeling. I think if the stories of changelings really resonate with you, then you could use the word to identify yourself.
fellow nonhumans with worldly responsibilities (ex: job, school), how do you cope?
im working full time at the moment and have little time for myself. when i do have spare time, im using it all to recharge for work. this leads me to of course not engage with my hobbies, but also causes me to ignore my animalistic needs.
any advice would be appreciated
I wish I could accurately draw what I look like under my veil- the true me. I don't have the creative ability to do so and it makes me sad.
also this point is a bit unrelated, but I find it funny that I keep rats when I’m a snake. whenever I play with them all I can of think is the phrase “playing with your food”. despite the fact that they are technically my prey, I have no urges towards them. again, I see them more as children than anything else.
I don’t know if it has to do with the neurodivergence or the nonhumanity but my relationship with pets is a bit odd. they are more siblings or children than anything else. we are both creatures which is something humans often fail to recognize/respect.
the rats I take care of are my friends. not mine through ownership, but mine through relationship.
I doubt this view is really all that uncommon in the nonhuman community, but I have yet to see much talk about it.
