Where'd all the time go?
YO IM TIRED AND THAT LAST SKETCH TOOK A LOT OUTTA ME SO HAVE MY VILLAIN MIC IDEAS WHILE I TRY TO DESIGN HIM:
There are two wolves in my brain.
One says chaotic egotistical villain Mic, one who sings his own songs while flattening cities with his voice. One who will change his outfit based on his music genre taste for that month, like album eras. One who knows that, to gain any sort of intel, the heros would have to listen to his underground podcast show and music. One who'd let news reporters survive for FREE CLOUT BAYBEE. Most definitely has fans.
One says kind villain Mic, one who oozes the same charisma and friendliness as Hero Mic. A distinct goal instead of just "for fun". A brilliant mind who works by himself, making sure nobody gets caught in the crossfire. However, one who can switch up real fast, not hesitating to use violence to those deserving. Much more like a threatening whisper than an upfront scream. Burning anger towards hero society for training children soldiers and using them for entertainment, forgetting about them when harmed or worse. He refuses to harm them.
Both go by "Hizashi Yamada" but don't mind Present Mic
IF I blend these ideas together somehow... All I can think about is: he's sitting by his microphone, on air, answering questions- all upbeat, laughing, like a normal podcast host! And yknow someone insults him or something. He shifts in his seat, bringing the mic closer and you can't hear the smile anymore. A disgruntled sigh before -
"I'm more than burst eardrums, listener." A direct threat.
Ey some miserable boys being miserable
BROKE: Aizawa folded Mic- real easy fight- Mic's gay awakening too
WOKE: Mic watched Aizawa fight in the other rounds and, much like Midorya, hyper analysed his quirk. When they step into the ring, Mic has a plan, y'know he's got that dark smile on his face. He launches towards Aizawa, going to use his Voice, Aizawa's eyes go wide, not expecting this from seeing Mic's fighting style being long range- his own quirk activates. SAND. THERE IS SAND KICKED INTO HIS EYES FROM THE FLOOR. MIC KICKS SAND INTO HIS EYES.
Look me in the eyes and tell me that 15 y/o Mic is not a shithead, and would not exploit quirks weaknesses and not play dirty. Mic still gets folded afterwards but at least it's a semi-balanced fight UHSDOUA
CHIEF, FUNNY APRILS FOOLS PRANK-
theres an itch i cant scratch with these two
BLEASE tell me more abt the underground Mic au I’m so invested you have no idea
DUDE YOU WERE SO FAST HOLY- THANK YOU SM. IM GLAD YOU LIKE IT! Here are some HCs and disjointed thoughts I have on the AU
Support gear hearing aid, modified so that it’s also protection. It allows for him to hear the frequencies he creates as well. Doesn’t look like a hearing aid, it’s like a fitted plaster covering his whole ear
Support gear, mobility: grappling hooks attached to his arms, shock absorption shoes and light gear cause his speed isn’t the best
Sometimes joins Eraserhead in his missions because this changed fighting style works well with his erasure quirk.
He doesn’t have an underground hero name, most villains call him Blondie UHSADOAH
Nightclubs- he can’t help himself- going in being all mysterious is so fun for him. More people are interested in this new dude than they ever were with Present Mic.
He always keeps his mask on
Voice changing! And quirk channeling when speaking!
Intimidation dude- that combined with his smarts- it’s pretty hard to not break
Like to get more info, Hizashi gets to interview this villain one-to-one. A dangerous hiss to a rumbling demand like shii lmao he probably has quirk backed up growlsAHAHAH FOR LEGAL REASONS THATS A JOKE
Depending on how he feels for the night, he’ll change his voice accordingly. Most of the time it’s a deep gruff cause it’s so different from Present Mic.
I do want to talk about his eyes cause- like- they're underrated as fuck. They're intense. He's extremely focused in this persona. Bright neon green which stick out more due to his black bandana
Hizashi is still a drama king. Like looming over the city, crouched by the edge of a building while the moon reflects off his eyes and the wind makes his hair flow.
He likes to watch his opponents move from afar for a while. While waiting, he hums. 19 Hz, you can’t hear it but it can cause feelings of dread and discomfort. Fear. That’s his signature as an underground hero. An alert that you should listen to.
After this pattern is spotted, the an actual name stuck. “That’s the warning!” along with his bright contrasting yellow hair and wild eyes. The underground hero took on the name Warning.
Happy birthday, banana ◕ヮ◕
I was about to sleep, then this song played in the radio and my brain thought of them.
Let's talk Present Mic
Neat quirk right? He's just a little loud, pretty harmless right?
Wrong
In this panel we can see he cracks his own glasses, seemingly without his amplifiers, (Yes I'm aware they are mostly used for directional attacks but one can also guess they are capable of amplification) or even using the fullest extent of his quirk; those that which we can only assume were made out of soundproof glass with his quirk in mind.
Now I couldn't find the amount of Decibels required to crack soundproof glass (If you do please please let me know so I can get an accurate description) But what I did find was the minimum Decibels required to break normal glass.
Now even if his glasses were regular glass he is still shouting at a volume comparable to a lawnmower being right beside you. Taking into account that we can assume he's topped that to crack glasses made with sound in mind, that's a crazy number. Still, he's just loud right?
Wrong, at only 150 Db your body can sustain damage, we know that when he was first born he was able to burst the eardrums of everybody in the room just with his crying. So fully matured and probably well trained and versed in his quirk, without his gear, and most likely holding himself back, he has either topped or simply reached the 100 Db required. And that's only if he was wearing normal glasses. Now this is a rough number, of course, so don't take this as a scientific proof, but when we fans say that the villains are lucky he hasn't gone feral, we mean it. Being able to reach just under 50 Db required to be lethal as a newborn we can only imagine what he's capable of.
