Diary O' 18th April 2022

Diary o' 18th April 2022

Chicken floss bread with choc milk for breakfast.

When I was walking along the school hallways, I saw a student getting lectured by our discipline teacher for wearing sport shoes and i probably looked terrified or soemthing because he averted his gaze to me and stared at my shoes, then called me there too...

"Cannot wear these type of shoe ah." "Ok." "Blah blah blah..." "Ok." "Ok u can go now."

MY SECRET TECHNIQUE ๐Ÿ˜ˆ๐Ÿ˜ˆ๐Ÿ˜ˆ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

-

When walking to my class, I saw a morning session teacher probably. He was really fun to talk to.

"Heyy u know where is 2M class?" "Huh why is it your first day?" "No, just my class is currently being used by 4A." "Oh, then I don't know also." Then i see people on the fourth floor waving to who knows what and i point at them and say, "Oh, there?" because i thought it were my classmates lol... "Um no that's form 5 LOL." "Oh.." Then i see my responsible class monitor (U saved me!!) and i shouted her name and waved goodbye to the teacher.

we are using the science lab as a replacement for our class for the first period. i put my bags down and liting asks if i want to go buy the math workbook our teacher wanted us to purchase. while talking to her i looked in my (not so serious anymore) crush's direction and he was looking back at me. i looked away quickly and continued talking to my friend. when we were preparing to leave i looked again to confirm that he was staring and he was. hm. he always does that, looking at me for so long then doesn't look at me for the rest of the day like ๐Ÿคฌ๐Ÿคฌ๐Ÿคฌ.

in recess liting asked me what i ate for breakfast and instead of chicken floss i said dog food... LIKE ON ACCIXENT ๐Ÿ˜จ๐Ÿ˜จ๐Ÿ˜จ๐Ÿ˜จ...

"ไฝ ๅƒไป€ไนˆโ€ โ€œ็‹—็ฒฎ ้ขๅŒ…โ€...

i like math class actually ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช

-

in pjpk me and liting sneaked to the toilet when teacher wasn't looking. we took turns in the same stall because the other toilets weren't working. we talked to each other while pissing if that isn't friendship idk what is!

then we also snuck to the equipment room after we finished our business. THERE WAS SO MUCH STUFF IN IT โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ

There were rugby balls, bow (with no arrows for some reason), BASEBALL MITTS, CATCHER'S HELMET, BASEBALL BAT AND SOFTBALLS, HOCKEY STICKS AND MORE!!!!! I wore the baseball mitt with a softball in my hand for a while and liting was holding the bat until teacher found us out lololol.. she said in PE we could only play with the mainstream sports... ๐Ÿ˜’๐Ÿ˜’๐Ÿ˜’๐Ÿ˜’โ˜บ๏ธ

we mostly chilled in pe.

-

- we first walked to the upper centre of the field and sat on the ground talking, then walked in a circle once and were motivated to longjump

- we ran and jumped, used a dry leaf as an indicator... she and i jump same length lolol

- then we ran 3 laps from the middle of the field to the slope...

- we are very exhausted, we take off our masks to breathe for a while.. it is certainly nicer without a mask! the breeze~~~

- we walked another lap around the big ass field, resting on a tree near the slope later

- it was time to go home, while walking back to take our bags i saw my (blah) crush mock kissing his best guy friend and i dont know if they really kissed or not they just snickered so loudly after.

DINNER

fried pork fatty sweet and sour flavour???, broccoli and cauliflower, fried chicken (i got the drumstick), po lei shang choi!!!

- i watched major again after dinner, it was so good!!! i like all the characters again!!

DIARY

15th of March 2022

i ate 2 curry puffs for breakfast. tasty! i also ate some prawn biscuits in my dad's noodles.

after that i played genshin and did the average social media scrolling. my dad wants to take us out to buy lunch.

he went to AEON to buy burger king. the set came with burgers, fries, coke and a sundae. it was so tasty like no other. the cone was so crunchy!!!! ice cream was the PERFECT amount of sweetness, not like McDonalds where it gets disgusting after you eat too much...

while waiting for my dad to get subway from another mall nearby me and my mom devoured her burger in the car. i ate parts where cheese was dripping out of the meat. my dad returned with two subways and a salmon onigiri.

i ate the onigiri in the car. it's been 5 years and i still dont know how to properly open convenience store rice balls. I've only opened one correctly my whole life and i forgot how i did it.

some grains of rice keeps falling onto the cushions of the car its so annoying. i still ate the whole thing up though it was ok and decent for half frozen food.

the whole car trip I've eaten: fries, 1/4 of a burger, onigiri.

at home i ate 5 bites out of my subway. i keep shuffling from the back of the house go the dining room to watch cats behind the house. there are so many!!! a kitten and its mother and 4 more adult cats that are the same colour.

DIARY
DIARY

after i ate i mostly just checked on the cats again to take funny pictures of them and chatting with my friend. THEN THERES A POWER OUT AGAIN!!! they can't stop fixing the lights in the neighborhood.

it was evening. no lights, no wifi. i went outside in my pajamas from yesterday. the full moon in the blue sky was so magical. the clouds were from an oil painting, my mom said. even though oil paintings should be inspired by clouds.

i mostly just did weird stunts outside while waiting for electricity to come back again. eventually it became night and my grandparents cooked dinner in the darkness.

they cooked bihun in fishballs, meat chunks, ikan bilis and water!!! so tasty.

then i caught up with a dusty manga i havent read since last year. IT IS SO GOOD. i was reading it before i wrote this diary, so i am still reading it.

I've also bought some things in my shopee cart for my beloved!!! i used my free shipoing voucher and rm4 off voucher. i got rm13 off..๐Ÿคค๐Ÿคคโ“โ—

Albedo x GN!Reader

[Genshin Masterlist]

word count: 2.1k

summary: Over the course of a seemingly menial day, Albedo finally realises that he's in love with you.

warnings: none! just sheer, tooth-rotting fluff. this has however just been word vomited with no beta so <33

this fic absolutely ran away with me, it was only meant to be the rain scene and then whoops i had 2k words written ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ i just get,,,, very soft for Albedo, apparently. also sof if u see this i pushed to get this finished quicker for u so u could read it โค

"We're going to get soaked," Albedo complained as you tugged on his hand, pulling him out of his office. He didn't try to let go, though, willingly following you regardless. He would have followed even if you were leading him straight into hellfire.ย

"It'll be fun, I promise!" You beamed, a bounce in your step as you guided your partner outside.

The rain was pouring down heavily and Albedo sighed as the front of his hair was almost immediately flattened into his eyes, obscuring his sight. You hadn't fared as well either, but you were already mostly waterlogged from travelling to see him in the first place so it hadn't been as extreme of a difference.ย

With heavy hands, he pushed his hair out of his face, letting it slick back against the sides rather than remaining plastered across his forehead. You were already lost in yourself a little further ahead of him, the enthusiasm never once leaving your steps as you bounded through the soaking streets of Mondstat with a gentle laugh.ย

Albedo's feet sank against the drenched stone paving, little splashes of water flicking out under the soles of his boots. He spent a moment observing the way that the droplets rippled out from one another, some constructively interfering and causing larger splashes, some pattering out quickly into nothingness. For a while, he was lost in thought as he followed after you, until you finally snapped him back to reality with a little wave of your hand in front of his face.

"We're here," you declared triumphantly, gesturing out into the open space around you.ย

You'd taken him all the way towards the cathedral, to the wide open square that housed the towering statue of Barbatos. He noted that the rainwater was cascading heavier from between the open palms of the statue, causing louder and larger splashes on the ground below. You didn't seem to care, eagerly running around in the space with a gleeful whoop as you splayed your arms out in the air and simply just enjoyed the time you were having.ย

The downpour hadn't once cleared up and Albedo was certain that you'd have some serious drying off to do in front of a warm fire later to avoid catching a cold. Not that he couldn't just make up a few concoctions to make you feel better if you did get sick, but he decided he'd rather avoid the probability entirely.ย

Almost as if to prove his point, a significantly large gathering of water sloshed unceremoniously down from the top of the statue and plopped tremendously atop your unsuspecting head. You let out a yelp of surprise, somehow now even more impossibly soaked through than you already were.

It surprisingly didn't change just how stunning you looked in the moment, though. If anything, the glistening droplets of rain reflecting in the fragments of light peeking through the grey clouds overhead gave you an extra layer of etheralism that had him close to blushing.ย

"You're beautiful." He couldn't help himself from making the comment. It was an astute observation, like everything else he had noticed on the walk there. You really were the most breathtaking person he knew, so why wouldn't he let you know?

"Flatterer," you laughed, moving back over to him only to scoop his hands into yours. "Dance with me?"ย

"Of course," he obliged.ย

Sure, there was no music. That hadn't stopped you before so it certainly wouldn't stop him now.

Albedo wasn't necessarily adept with the concept of dancing, at least not in the traditional sense. His years of training as a swordsman had helped his footwork, naturally, so it wasn't possible for him to falter too badly. It had been a while since he had had a partner as proficient as you, though. Klee managed to keep him on his toes- literally sometimes- by insisting he teach her how to dance and then proceeding to simply drag him around the room a few times, but it was nothing compared to genuinely trying to dance with another person.ย

"You don't need to be perfect at this, you know," you let out a laugh as he tried to lead you in a slow waltz.ย

"I am aware," he admitted. "But you deserve nothing less."

"Just let yourself have fun, Mr. Perfectionist," you grinned, switching up your movement to pull him into a twirl.ย

You were leading him now, dancing him around in a circle past all the bright cecelias that were planted around the foot of the statue. They were almost as pretty to look at as you, but Albedo knew they'd never quite match your elegance and charm. Your hands placed gently on his body, one on his shoulder and the other just over his hip, felt so warm against him. It was a shocking change to the bone-chill he could sense from the damp soaking deep into every single fiber of his being. It was welcome, though, and your touch felt like home to him.ย

Home.

He considered "home" to be the land he was created in, the land he no longer got to see. Home was meant to be where you were from, right? So why did you, a person who had let themselves into his life like an absolute whirlwind and consumed his entire being until you were all that was left, feel the exact same way?ย

You had become a comfort, not unlike the blissful warmth of settling down before a fire deep in the harshest snowstorms that wracked through Dragonspine. Like the early dew in the morning gracing the blades of grass that Albedo did so like to sit out and sketch when the sun was just rising. You were ephemeral, fleeting, but at the same time you were strong and grounding, like an anchor keeping him steady. He never quite realised how much he liked feeling stable.ย

Yet here, now, with you, he let himself enjoy it all at once. The feeling that he always felt when he was with you, that glorious encompassing feeling of home. It threatened to swallow him whole and never let him go. And he would gladly let it, without hesitation.ย

He laughed. For maybe the first time that you had ever heard him do so, he let out the most genuine laugh that he ever had. The rain was still cascading down in rivers across him, forcing him to blink hard to get the water away as he threw his head back towards the sky. You watched him with keen interest for a moment, bewildered by the sudden display of emotion, but once you had settled you laughed along with him.ย

Never once did you stop dancing, out in the rain like that together. You both kept going until you were too tired to move any more, until you were practically dragging yourselves back through the wet streets home.ย

Home. That elusive word yet again.ย

This was your house that Albedo was currently crossing through the threshold of, closing the door carefully behind him as you went ahead to start up the fireplace. It was your sofa that you piled some blankets onto, your dining chair that you slowly and cautiously spread out your soaking wet outer clothes to dry upon.ย

Everything was familiar to him of course, he had been invited into your house many times even before you were courting, but it all belonged to you. It wasn't for the both of you.ย

It could be, though, he let himself think. Perhaps one day, some of his paperwork could be laid upon that dining room table. The cup he usually used half to death for coffee before finally washing it out every time could be sat neatly on the countertop, perhaps next to your own. His coat could be hung up on the hook beside your front door, next to where your own currently rested.ย

"-e that," you said, but he didn't quite catch it.ย

When had he let himself get so lost in his own imagination around you? You really must have had such a strong effect on him, for him to even be thinking about sharing his life with you in such a way.ย

"Hey, Albedo," you called out to him again. This time, he actually turned to you.ย

"I'm sorry, what did you want?"ย

"Give me that," you held out your hand, gesturing towards his coat. "You're still drenched, I'm not letting you stay here if you're going to drip all over my carpets."

He passed it over wordlessly, peeling the fabric back off of his arms and handing it to you. You gave him a warm smile, such a beautiful smile, one that never failed to elicit a similar one from him in response, as you moved off to hang his coat up to dry.ย

It was next to yours, just as he had been imagining only seconds prior. He had to admit, they looked good together. Like they were meant to be there.ย

"C'mon," you urged as you returned, ushering him back towards the sofa.ย

He sat first, at your behest, and let you plonk yourself down by his side. You stayed where you were for a moment, before fidgeting and eventually shifting all the way until you had your head resting on his shoulder.ย

"Your hair is still wet," he noted, which made you giggle.ย

"Yeah of course it is, we were out there for like an hour." You wrapped your arms around his middle, settling down as comfortably as you could manage.ย

It wasn't the first time the two of you had cuddled in such a way on your sofa (yours, not a shared entity), but this time Albedo just couldn't seem to find the right way to place his own hands. He settled, eventually, for draping one arm gently across you and using the other to hold onto the hand of yours that had come to a rest across his stomach.ย

"You seem really off today Bedo," you hummed, tilting your head up to glance at him.

He met your eyes with a smile. "I'm fine, love, don't you worry."

Love.ย

He hadn't ever called you that before. Why did it feel so right, now?

"Love?" You repeated, a sheepish smile spreading across your face.ย

"Do you not like it?" He asked, suddenly wondering if he had said something wrong. Before you, he never would have been so worried about something so small.

"No, I," you hesitated. "I love it."

"Was that meant to be a joke?" Albedo mused, moving to press a kiss to your forehead. He wasn't sure what had compelled him to do that right then and there but it just felt right.

Felt. Feelings were difficult, a concept that Albedo knew about in abundance- but still could never quite grasp. Even though he knew he was happy with you, happy interacting with you in a more-than-platonic manner, he never seemed to get a decent understanding of how he felt about you. You had told him several times how he made you feel, not to the point of saying those specific little three words, but it was close enough. He knew you cared for him, deeply at that. Why else would you have been so patient with him all this time?

"I love you," he uttered out at last, after what felt like he was thinking for hours. Really, it had likely not been much longer than a few seconds.

You stopped what you were doing, mindlessly twining and unlocking your fingers with his, to gaze up into his eyes. The slight part of your lips expressed your shock brilliantly as you stuttered to try and get a response out.ย

"I love you too," you replied at last, after fumbling around the words for a while. "I love you so much, you don't even know."

"I think I can imagine," Albedo smiled, leaning down to pull you into a searing kiss.

Yes. Love was definitely what he felt. There was no other way to describe it, the overwhelming feeling he got whenever he looked at you. The feeling that desperately ached in his chest whenever you weren't around him. It was the feeling that made him want to stay there like that with you for an eternity, even despite the inclination to keep working on his research. It was the feeling of the first day of spring after a perilous winter, of the very first leaves tumbling off of their trees in autumn.ย

The feeling of home.ย

And he wanted to make a home with you, no matter what.

content under the cut!

For The Event:

marriage is an odd thing, strong and supportive in theory but fickle in execution and nature, it often made no sense to you whatsoever. so imagine your surprise when your parents, the king and queen of fontaine, came to you and informed you of your betrothal to the crown prince of mondstat: prince albedo.

to many, a betrothal to prince albedo would be a dream. from what you've heard he's quite handsome although a bit socially inept and possessed a mind rivaling that of the most brilliant scholars. you'd be lying if you said part of you wasn't curious, but that part of you was also being swallowed by an inevitable fear of what was to come.

marriage was a thick, steely cuff shackled to ivory floors in your opinion, you'd exchange your freedom in for your country as your duty requires you to, but then what? live a life locked up in a palace with some man you barely know as your husband? the mere thought of it had you running to the nearest bathroom and dry heaving over the sink.

on top of the weighty betrothal, you hadn't a sliver of an idea of what prince albedo looked like exactly. sure, you knew he was a bit quiet and super smart but asides from that? you had nothing to go off of.

and it seemed like you never would officially know what he looked like until the day of your marriage when your parents made it their mission to hide portraits of the prince that had been sent over to your palace as a gift. you tried to sneak a glance under the cloth draped over one of the paintings only to be harshly reprimanded by your person in waiting and dragged off for more nobility training.

the week before you were to be shipped off to mondstat and married, your parents came to you smiling ear to ear. "the monarchs in mondstat have arranged for an engagement ball! isn't this exciting?" and of course, like always, you nodded and went along with it. but in reality you wanted nothing more than to slink away and indulge in your hobbies that had nothing to do with royal duties or marriage.

and now here you stood, greeting one person after the other as you stood beside both your parents and the monarchs of mondstat. guests swept across the marble dance floor, skirts billowing akin to faint smoke. you gripped a flute of champagne in one gloved hand and the other mindlessly fussed with an over-the-top heirloom on your neck. "stop slouching!" your mother hissed, lightly tapping the side of your arm with her elaborate golden fan. you sighed and straightened your back, sending her a look that practically read "happy now?"

bored out of your mind, you had nothing to do but look around and take in the sights (asides from repeating the same basic greeting every thirty or so seconds). the king and queen of mondstat had spared no expense in decking their ballroom out with the finest of decorations and food hailing from the best of cooks and pastry chefs. you glanced towards the side past your parents who stood on either side of you. the king and queen of mondstat were busy being greeting other guests, but you saw no one who looked like they could be the crown prince.

you'd noted down a few possibilities of who albedo could be: the gentleman with inky blue hair and a striking eyepatch who had entered an animated discussion with a guard. or perhaps the stony-faced redhead who looked like he'd rather be anywhere but here. yet none of them seemed probable to you, that eyepatch man was much too chatty and though the red head was a strong contender for a while, he didn't seem quite socially inept.

though the mini hunt for your betrothed played out like a game in your mind, it didn't help distract you from the overwhelming presence of people that surrounded you. from each and every corner and side came flocks of nobility, ambassadors, lords and ladies, dukes and duchesses, you name the title and they were there. after answering far too many questions for your liking and speaking in tongues that left you with a lump in your throat, you quickly excused yourself to the bathroom only to end up lost within the grand halls of the palace.

"this is ridiculous..." you grumbled, hiking up yet another flight of stairs and passing another intricate porcelain vase that you'd sworn you'd seen twice in trying to navigate the palace. you wondered if you'd just been going around in circles until a certain door caught your attention.

unlike the wooden oak doors that defined many of the rooms in the palace, these doors were purely glass and framed by uncarved wood with some of the leaves still intact. the twisting branches were something like you'd seen in the few alchemy classes you'd taken previously. curious, you placed your palm on the wooden handle and twisted it open.

before you was a sight unlike any other you'd seen before.

tiled paths lined from the door lead inwards towards a stunning indoor garden. along the sides, beds bordered by hedges held silky hydrangeas both violet and ocean blue which surrounded tall, stalking trees that protruded their way up in the middle of the flower beds. bushes and other varying greenery sat in the beds, neatly crafted to form elegant circles. in the middle of the garden, a beautiful beige marble fountain sat spewing water from the top.

for a moment you simply stood by the door and observed with your mouth agape, completely engulfed by the garden that seemed to jump right out of your favorite fantasy novels. you glanced around cautiously, and when you caught sight of no one else, you traversed deeper within.

the only tangible sounds were the soft clicks of your shoes across the tiles and the gentle trickle of the fountain which reverberated throughout the lush garden. as you approached the fountain, you noticed tiny multicolored butterflies hovering over the marble borders. you perched yourself on the edge and watched them flutter around you with curious eyes.

"hello there..." you quietly whispered to a stunning golden butterfly that landed on the tip of your finger.

"i see you've met auric." a voice suddenly broke through the calm silence you had been engulfed in.

you whipped your head around, a tad frightened. at first, you saw nothing but darkness. "w-who's there?" you asked, rising from your seat and looking around.

from the darkness of one of the leading paths stepped forth a young man.

but this was no young man in particular, in fact this was most definitely the most handsome man you'd ever seen in your entire life.

bathed in moonlight, his ashen locks were neatly combed and braided to the back. his attire was that of the finest garb, you noted. gold lined his dark blue overcoat, the tails embedded with dots of silver and aquamarine. but most of all, his stunning cerulean eyes sucked you in like a whirlpool and held you in its swirling grips.

"the great spangled fritillary," he politely smiled, gesturing to the butterfly on the tip of your finger, "scientific name speyeria cybele." he finished, walking closer to you.

"but to me, that butterfly's name is simply auric." said butterfly was still on your finger, flitting its wings every now and then. how it hadn't flown away with your movements, you had no idea.

the name tasted familiar on your tongue, "auric? like the chemical term?" he nodded, placing his white gloved finger near yours.

the butterfly, or auric rather scuttled off your finger onto the man's. "correct, meaning-"

"of, related to, or derived from gold." you eagerly finished for him. he seemed surprised but nodded. "yes...very good. are you perchance a scholar?" from the look on his face, it seemed if you were to lie about your status as a monarch he'd see right through it. and yet you couldn't exactly risk giving up such sensitive information to a complete stranger who had you alone.

"not exactly, i am merely...associated with the royal family of fontaine." lying wasn't exactly your specialty, but for now it seemed like he bought it.

"ah, i see. i too am also...associated with the royal family of mondstat." with a gentle flick of his finger, auric the butterfly fluttered away back to hover over the spewing water.

"is the ball not to your liking?" he asked. you fumbled with a response, knowing that this man was closely associated with the royal family could mean your answer here would be very important.

"i- um, the decorations are quite lovely!" you quickly blurted out, unsure of what else to say.

"ah it pleases me to hear that, are you having a good time?" you nodded your head yes, but from the looks of it you didn't seem too convincing. "you mustn't lie, it's very unbecoming. it's alright if it wasn't to your liking. i'm not much for parties myself." the mysterious man sat himself down on the edge of the marble fountain and gestured to the empty space next to him. "you're welcome to keep me company while i avoid social interaction." you snorted and placed yourself on the space beside him.

"that's a bit contradictory you know."

"i'm well aware, but the clashes of duty and desire are almost always contradictory are they not?" he ended with a charming smirk. smartass, you chuckled and nodded.

you thought back to the butterfly that had perched itself so tamely on your fingertips. "are you a researcher of butterflies?" you asked as you looked up at the fluttering insects that still hovered above you.

"i would consider myself so, i know more about them than most people." he hummed to himself. "and you? you seem awfully intelligent for someone merely associated with the royal family." you gulped and hoped he didn't see through your ruse.

"i- um, i'm in charge of the younger monarch's...educational teachings. yes-! i'm their tutor." you quickly weaved a lie. it had holes and gaps but it was the best you could do for now.

"you might be interested in the royal library then. if you ever return to the palace i'll be sure to show you." your ears perked up at the mention of a library.

"i'd like that, sure." you smiled. so far you kinda liked this man, he'd been nothing but courteous to you but within was a deeper layer that seemed to rest just beneath the surface. you couldn't lie, your curiosity was beginning to get the better of you. you tried to avoid his gaze yet his eyes bore into you, almost as if analyzing your every move.

"you seem...bothered by something. might i ask what?" you fiddled with the ends of your gloves and sighed.

"am i that obvious?" you peered up at him from your hunched position, a tiny sheepish smile on your face.

he merely waved his hand and dismissed your question, "not particularly, i'm just fairly observant."

perhaps it was the fresh air, or the lack of pressure on your shoulders you'd left behind in the ballroom, but you felt your resolve crumbling bit by bit.

"i'm to be wed soon," you mumbled more to the ground than him, "and i'm not sure if i'm ready to be tied down. or if i'll ever be ready for that."

you hadn't raised your head to check if he was still listening, but from his quiet breaths and slight hums of understanding it seemed he was.

"i see, marriage is quite the hassle i must agree. i simply wouldn't have the energy to expend into maintaining both a relationship and my academic endeavors," you nodded in complete understanding, "but then again, perhaps a relationship wouldn't be too hard to maintain if it were the right person."

"the thing is, i've never met my fiance. i have no idea if he's right for me."

he hummed and you watched from the side as auric fluttered down onto his finger once again. "being someone as lovely as you, your fiance would have to be a fool not to treat you right." he smiled, giving you a reassuring look.

the butterflies in your stomach swirled upwards with his compliments and you hid you flustered eyes in the confinements of the suddenly very interesting ground.

"thank you, for the reassurance i mean." you mumbled.

"of course, i believe you're in good hands."

the curious side of you was clawing away at your sides, demanding that you know more about this mysterious man. the more rational part of you however, demanded that you hold your tongue and treat this as a formal encounter. of course, you chose to be complicated.

"if i might ask for your name?" you boldly asked.

before he could even get a chance to open his mouth and reply, a nearby clock sounded the bell ten times. you whipped your head over and suddenly remembered that your mother would be looking for you.

"i don't mean to cut this short but my mo- i mean! the queen will be looking for me. i must hurry back." you picked yourself up and bowed hastily. as you turned to dash out of the door, he caught your hand in his gloved one.

he seemed to not know what he was doing at first, but cleared his throat and placed a feather light kiss on the back of your silk covered hand. "until next time." he nodded politely at you. if you weren't a mess before you sure as hell were now.

where he had formally kissed your hand and been polite, you managed to squeak out a "goodbye!" before scurrying off.

by some miracle you'd managed to find your way back to the ballroom and stumbled to your parent's sides with less grace than you were taught. your mother turn to you with a worried look, "where have you been?" she hissed lowly under her breath.

"got lost," you panted, smoothing out the fabric of your clothes.

"oh my dear (y/n)! i've been looking for you!" you snapped your head up as the call of your name. your future mother-in-law bounded towards you and took both of your hands in her warm ones.

"i've finally found that elusive son of mine, i'm so very eager to have him meet you." she giggled and clasped her hands together.

your stomach did backflips- did she just say you're finally going to get to meet the man you'd spend the rest of your life with? it was a bit overdue in your opinion, but better late than never you supposed.

you waited expectantly, the nervous butterflies in your stomach began to flutter with each second as you watched the queen of mondstat filter through the crowd for her son. at the thought of butterflies, your mind wandered back to that handsome man in the garden and auric the beautiful golden butterfly. he had the most lovely voice too...you almost thought if you listened hard enough past the classical music and chit chat you'd hear the soft bass of his calm voice.

"(y/n)?" brought away from your thoughts, your eyes fell upon those same cerulean eyes that you'd just seen earlier.

your mouth fell agape and you couldn't hide the immediate shock on your face. "you!" you pointed a finger at the ashen haired man you'd encountered in the garden.

"yes, i'm prince albedo. i apologize i should have introduced myself in the garden but," he paused for a moment to extend his hand, "you seemed much more inclined to hide your identity. i thought i'd do the same." your head swam with thoughts of all kinds as you hesitantly placed your hand in his.

the sly glint in his eyes let you know that marriage to him might not be as shackled as you thought.

You shouldn't keep reminding yourself how old you are.

Sure, you can always reminisce about when you were a kid, how weird it was that you were pre-pubescent. But being stuck in the past and awe-stricken by how young you were doesn't help, because you're getting older as you think about that. You don't have time to daydream about your childhood, unless it's for self reflection and improvement, because you have to keep moving. You're not even that old now, you just think you are because you're jealous of all the time the kids have left compared to you while in actuality you have just as much time as they do to chase your dreams, because you're not an arthritis-struck old lady yet.

thank you.

applying for jobas

what happens when you apply for a job in teyvat!

includes: hu tao, xiangling, rosaria, albedo

masterlist here.

hu tao

"good evening, kid! what are you doing here?" "i'm here to apply for a job." "ohh, great! we have been so understaffed lately, it's just me and zhongli, everyone else who sees corpses everyday can't stand it!" "haha. i also see corpses everyday, so i will be fine. my whole family is dead." "oh, sorry. anyways, wear our uniform! here, 20 bucks please."

"um.. no. not before i see the salary." "sorry! err... it's $300000 mora a month." "what? are you for real? what a deal!"

hu tao smirked. after all, they only give staff such a high salary because they overprice their funerals. people who think zhongli is poor because he works here are so dumb! someone like him will not ever accept a paycheck.

xiangling

walking to wanmin restaurant, you wanted to talk to chef mao but accidentally read the wanmin restaurant poster instead.

"chef mao, i'm here to be an apprentice." "sorry kid, we don't accept any staff. me and my daughter is enough. and we certainly don't want some stranger to ruin our recipes." "by 'recipe' you mean a fucking slime secretions sandwich? hell naw ywou do your thing. i'll work for the liuli pavilion."

"fine by me. we don't need you," chef mao says.

when he said that, a girl's head popped out from under the counter.

"dadd!!! we are in need of kitchen help. if she will ruin our recipes, we can still let her cut and prepare the ingredients! you won't need to wake up at 4 every morning to shave potatoes again..." "i suppose you're right," he sighed. "welcome aboard. but before that, how fast can you cut a carrot?" "like a normal person. i'm slow, but practice makes perfect, right.."

"yes it does. now please, cut up this chicken into cubes. our popcorn chicken is very popular."

rosaria

"you? work in church? why are you even asking me? when i go to church i don't even sing with my sisters."

"well you were standing outside the church like you wanted to go inside so i thought you were a nun hiring people."

"no, i wanted to go inside because it was burning hot outside. and i was waiting for the nuns to finish singing about bartabatos." "who is that?" "you want to become a nun and don't know who that is? oh gods."

albedo

i'm truly scared of that stone faced alchemist. but i've graduated from sumeru academy, so he can't not accept me right? although i did not pass with flying colours. albedo is always wandering around collecting birds in cages and turning them into geovishaps.. how scary. but alchemy is the only thing i'm good at, and i need a job! here goes..

"hey. i'm someone who likes alchemy. wanna hire me?" "only if you're better than timaeus and won't push this green haired girl and awaken a giant dead ice flower." "umm.. surely not. that seems impossible." "well, it sure isn't. i've experienced it." "i would be surprised if you haven't. you talk about it like it's real."

"turn this boar into a lamb please, it's a test."

after a few hours, you made the boar look like a lamb. "good job. i can surely do things faster than that, but hey, at least you're better than timaeus. all he does is stand near the alchemy table and interrupt people when they want to craft something."

"i feel you... and people." you say.

DIARY OF 13TH MARCH 2022

13th of March, 2022.

today i woke up so late to

1. avoid paying respects in the cemetery

2. continue my dream

(P.S I hope noone from my old class is tuning in because this is really embarrassing. i dreamt of not being able to pick a food in the hawker centre. then somehow LJH talked about so many things to me and i held his hand and ran to char kuey teow stall. it was so breezy and cool!! he had very warm hands.)

we planned to pay our respects at 10. i woke up at 1035. i ate while rushing. i ate a steamed pumpkin bun made by my grandparents and a bite of yiu tiao.

we arrived at the section where my granduncle is at and see many people surrounding his tomb. someone opened a huge arse umbrella over the tombstone so people sticking incense wouldn't get their skin scorched by the sun. when my parents and i came i heard "omg she's so tall!" 5 times (it was inevitable ๐Ÿ˜).

after i made my dad stick my incense in the sand, i stood UNDER THE SUN for 30 AN HOUR AT LEAST!!! i switched places 3 times. first i went under a small ass tree next to an unfamiliar relative of mine. i said Hi!! to seem approachable and to manipulate her to cover me with her umbrella๐Ÿ˜˜ and she responded!! she was nice but i didn't reply to most of her statements because this is who i am.

then i went under another 2 umbrellas that were shared with 3 people each. IT WAS STILL SO HOT BRO THE UMBRELLAS DIDN'T DO NUN๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’” my mom is a sadist she made me wear a gray shirt with black streaks. while she wore a blue shirt and my dad a white one? ๐Ÿคฌ

after that i gave up and went to a gazebo with my grandma. it was pretty boring. i just daydreamed under there.

then we went to my M grandmother's house. we tabao'ed kuey teow soup, many kuih and ็ปๆตŽ้ฅญ. my fav was kuey teow soup. it was good but i got bored of it quickly.

i just scrolled through my phone for the next hour then i only went home. WE WERE STICKY ASF!!

after bathing i played genshin for real for the first time in so long! i was hearing demon slayer SFX (my dad was watching) while cooping with someone nice and there came a power supply cut because someone was fixing a cable or something. so uncalled for. i couldn't say bye bye so she must've thought that i hated her or something. i drew without wifi next to the open sliding door to feel the natural wind!! my mom was watching me draw.

after that we gkt bored and went to eat dinner. luckily i bought a book bc it took so long for the food to come. it was worth it though it was a top tier feast. salted egg mantis shrimp, special edition beancurd with suspicious black sauce, yau mak with fried garlic and carrots, curry fish and okras.

12/8

for breakfast i made pitas. baked them, cut tomatoes, shaved cucumbers and cut bananas (sprinkled with expired cinnamon!). after they were done i scrambled a plain egg with only ground cinnamon on it. it was tasty but i only ate half cuz my mom wanted to go dimsum shop. (tuition at 11am)

at 9 something we arrived at jiaxuan dimsum or something similar sounding. when waiting, went to 99 speedmart. loved scrutinising the processsed bread section. the mighty white bun variety is actually mesmerizing. the packaging is very attention grabbing. strawberry lychee, butter sugar, milo, chicken floss, black pepper chicken, blueberry flavours etc!!! like wtf so many flalvors!! some other brand was mas producing multiflavoured muffins. 8 for rm5.30 dude what a deal! except i guess eating it may cause serious cardiovascular diseases teehee.

ordered 2 salted egg yolk custard buns (SUPER GOOD DUDE), 2 char siew pau (EH OK BUT GOOD), 6 siew mai (TASTED LIKE MINCED MEAT), fried turnip cake (rlly GOOD!!), fried prawn, scallop and salted egg yolk beancurd thing (love the blandness of it FOR REAL!! cuz i only ate the egg yolk part. it wasnt distributed EVENLY LOL). siew mai fell into my warm water and drenched it in oil. cuz i was grabbing it with chopsticks then my dad asked where a siew mai go and i raised it to show him that i took one.. lol. total bill: RM78 โ˜ ๏ธ. at least it was a pleasant experience.

went home and ate oreo cadbury chocolate bar and the other half of my breakfast pita. tuition. shower. went to tapao lunch. mayang oasis food court - malay mixed rice. omg!!! pickled veggies (carrot, cucumber, onion) SO TASTYYYYYY OMGGG IM GONNA CUM, steamed broccoli (SO TENDER!! LOVE LOVE LOVE) and rendang chicken drumstick (fragrANTTT!! not implying that there were many ants at that stall, just felt like making ANT capitalised). dad bought additionally 2 angku kuih and 2 fried glutinous sesame balls. delicious. for lunch also ate chili lala clams and orange. then snacked on angku kuih, pocky, cadbury chocolate and kuih bahulu. i need to control my eating habits!!!

wrote poems, drew posters, revamped dress rental poster, wrote a storyโ€ฆ. good night. so full. ugh!
