Soon i'll start developing a new version but i don't know how to number versions
Often developers number game versions as 1.0, 1.1, 1.2... But the 1st digit ("1") never changes and i don't see the point in it. So i numbered the alpha versions as 1.0, 2.0, 3.0... And i can omit the 2nd digit ("0") because it didn't also change (i didn't release intermediate versions). But in this case versions will be numbered 1, 2, 3... and it will look like the 2nd part of the game.
So i decided to ask you:
I've created my game text and localized it. To change language I temporarily assigned unused buttons. But when I've created my own file format for game text, I realized I could use json🤦♂️. This is that I decided to do.
Now I can play without mouse! I've also added tools descriptions and deleted attacks descriptions. I've deleted the mem label because it was showing false info and moved the fps label.
Hi
I've not posted anything for 2 weeks because i've been optimizing the game and making some small additions and changes
The biggest changes:
New description for defense line:
And new background for the main menu:
I also added new soundtracks and noticed that for some reason the quality of all music has deteriorated. I tried to fix it but i couldn't. So i decided not to fix it because i don't think anyone listens to the soundtracks
And today i'll be releasing the pre-1 version on my discord server
Hi
Drew animations for shelling and bombing, shelling animation have 4 variants for 4 sides. Decided to experiment and added a "wave" animation for conquering attacks (storm, tank battle and landing)
Also now when it's bot's turn, you can't select cells, tools and attacks, use undo and redo buttons
And yes, i added price tags to the attacks menu
And also...
this is my 100th post!
Hi
I added little more info to the debug menu and changed its font. Also added info how to undo and redo actions to the tutorial and changed the cursor image in its screenshots
I finally added a convenient color select menu to the customization window instead of rgb scales
Today i'll release the last interim to my discord server, the next one will be a pre-release
PS: i thought i would be developing this interim for 3 weeks but due to illness i did it in just one
Now you can set players colors. I also remade the pause menu and drew an icon for save button.
This is pre-beta 2.0 interim-1 and i'll be releasing it on my discord server within the next hour
Added the control section in the settings menu, but it's read only. I added so little content because i'm currently optimizing the game.
I plan to add a background music, so if you're good at making music, let me know so your tracks can get into my game
Is the Defold Engine the engine you made for your game?
No, i know too little to create my own game engine
Added auto layout and translations into simplified and traditional chinese. Thanks @freeve4-makes-games (translator)
If you want to translate my game, write me a private message
Thank you! After reading i decided to use the 2nd method (1.0, 2.0, 3.0...)
