đ I believe that many of the methods used to cleanse items can also be used to charge them - the difference lies within your intention.
đ To cleanse, visualize negative energy actually leaving the object. To charge, visualize the object being filled with the energy from your chosen source.
Cleansing & Charging Methods:
Visualization - imagine a ball of energy forming around the item to either cleanse it or give it power (the color of the ball could correspond to your intent, i.e. white or blue for cleansing, red for power, etc.)
Earth - bury the object in soil or sand - a potted plant will also work
Water - submerge the item in running water
Salt Water - anoint or submerge the item in a salt water solution
Gem Water - anoint or submerge the item in a corresponding crystal elixir
Herbal & Floral Water - anoint or submerge the item in a solution of corresponding herbs or flowers
Sea Salt - sprinkle sea salt over/around the item or submerge it in a container of sea saltÂ
Essential & Infused Oils - anoint item with corresponding oil Smoke - pass the item through incense smokeÂ
Fire - pass the item through an open flameÂ
Storms - leave item outside during a thunderstorm
Wind & Breath - leave item outside when itâs windy or use your breath to essentially breathe your intent into the item
Crystals/Crystal Grid - surround the item with crystals of corresponding intent (can be arranged in a pattern to form a crystal grid and enhance energy) or simply pass the crystal over the item
Dried/Fresh Herbs & Flowers - sprinkle mixture over/around item or submerge the item in a mixture of herbs and/or flower petalsÂ
Sound - use a bell, whistle, or something similar to clear the space and associated items of negativity; alternatively, you can place the item near a set of speakers to absorb the energy from music and other soundsÂ
Sigils - craft and use sigils that correspond with your intent (you can set the item on top of the sigil, draw the sigil on the item, etc.)
Technology - set the item near your phone/tablet/etc while itâs charging Moonlight & Starlight - leave item in the path of these natural lights, either outside or in a windowsill overnightÂ
Sunlight - leave item in the path of sunlight for a few hours during the day (before sunset, of course), either outside or in a windowsillÂ
Divination - pair the item with a rune or tarot/oracle card that matches your intent in a small containerÂ
Incantations - create an incantation that states your intent and speak it aloud while holding the item
Physical Energy - engage in physical activity of some sort (exercise, dancing, sex, etc.) and direct that energy into the item
Actual cleaning - physically and literally clean any items with an appropriate solution (soap, alcohol, etc.); the energy put into cleaning can also be used to charge the item
Caution: some items, especially crystals, are not suitable for exposure to sunlight, water, or salt.

Whatâs a more inconspicuous way to add witchcraft to the holiday season than by combining the well-known concept of Witch Balls with widely used ornaments? Add the following ingredients to either clear, glass ornaments (so they can be charged by compliments) or to solid ornaments (to be even more unnoticeable) for the desired effects.
Family Peace:
lavender buds
two sprigs of thyme
dried cilantro
rose buds
Festivity:
three vanilla bean pods
whole allspice
dried tangerine or orange peels
sprig of pine
Love Drawing:
crushed rose petals
dried jasmine
dried lime peels
granulated sugar
glitter
New Year Prosperity:
whole chamomile flowers
one cinnamon stick
pine needles
juniper berries
To guard against sorrow
Four white candles, 6 to 8in long
One yellow candle, 6 to 8in long
Cinnamon incense in holder
Matches or lighter
Pen
One small disk of oak wood cut from a severed branch
One can of clear varnish
One 24in long cord
Timing: cast this spell on a waxing moon, and on a Sunday, ruled by the sun, patron of health and happiness
âCast a circle if thatâs what your tradition calls for.
âPlace the candles in a row, with the yellow candle in the center.
âLight the incense stick and all the white candles.
âUsing the pen, draw a circle in the center of the disk, surrounded by points to represent the rays of sun.
âIn the center of the circle, write:
Salve
Sol
âLike the yellow candle, saying:
I invoke the powers of the life-giving Sun
I invoke the power of the sunâs fires
That sorrow be burned away
And happiness revealed
âAllow the ink to dry in the light of the candles until theyâre all burned down.
âAfter, drill a hole near the edge of the desk. Varnish it to protect the ink markings. Then thread through it with the cord and wear it around your neck at all times.

đSimple Everyday Things You Can Do For Protection
Source | https://www.instagram.com/mariathearcane/
What are some simple things that you do that you think would help another witch?
đMy list of daily or easy practices requires little to no prep-work
â˘Use a protection plant ally like a witch's burr, cloves, thorns, motherwort, black pepper, garlic, or onion. Close your eyes and place your plant ally in your hands. Ask the spirit of the plant if they will offer you protection to see you through the day. Carry it with you.
â˘Alternatively, you can also use crystals. My go to combo is black tourmaline and red jasper!
â˘Use a protection archetype tarot card like the Nine of Wands. Nine of Wands, for myself, symbolizes boundaries and protection when it comes to our growth/life path. Place it on your altar with intention since it is a portal to our intentions, our guides, and the liminal, or carry on your person.
â˘Smoke cleanse the thresholds in your home, yourself, and your loved ones. I personally like rosemary and lavender for this purpose.
â˘As you leave an offering for your guides/ancestors/deities during your daily conversation with them ask them for their help when it comes to protection.
â˘Write the word protection or a symbol of protection on a black candle with intention and light.
What is glamour?
Simply put, Glamour is an illusion.Â
Is glamour real? Can it really change my appearance?
Yes, glamour is real! No, it cannot change your appearance. It is used more so to embody traits & gain confidence. It alters your aura, therefore altering the way you may be seen/perceived.
How do I use glamour magick?
Typically, glamour is intertwined with your âgetting readyâ routine. Think of glamour spells as a pretty coat you put on before leaving your house, or a pretty pin in your hair that makes you feel beautiful. Its one of the types of magick that we can use to transform mundane activities into enchanting activities. Here are some examples of intentions:
-be kind, appear softer, appear stronger, gain confidence, to look powerful, be sexy, speak with confidence in front of a crowd, be focused, etc.
i do not recommend using glamour for any of the following: make _____ love me, to banish or hex, to get a job, to get money.
remember that glamour is about giving you that extra boost to achieve your intention. its like a crutch, use it to enhance your aura⌠for example: instead of âmaking ___ fall for youâ you can use glamour to exude a sexy and confident energy, which will likely draw him into you by highlighting your best qualities. instead of âgetting a jobâ you can use glamour to help you come across as professional, powerful, and focused which will likely result in gaining respect from your interviewer and leaving you on their mind for the position.Â
How to cast glamours
Most glamours are very simple, and you likely have the tools you may need already. SimplyÂ
1. pick your intention  2. choose what tools/methods will work the best for your needs 3.Write your spell down 4.cast it!
Ex. 1. I want to appear to be softer. 2. I decide i am going to enchant my perfume by drawing a sigil on the bottom of the bottle in pink sharpie, and charge it with a short incantation. 3. Draw up your sigil, and write/find an incantation that sits with you well and helps your energy flow. You can sing a song as well, whatever gets that flow going. 4. Cleanse & Do the damn thing!Â

A spell meant to strengthen the bond between a person and their familiar.Â
Items required:
Safely harvested fur, whiskers, or toenail clippings from your familiarÂ
(do not trim whiskers off of your pet, they are vital sensory tools for animals - if one happens to naturally fall out, thatâs fine)
Your own hair or fingernail clippings
A crystal (or crystal chips) of your choice - personally, I would use Snowflake Obsidian because it reminds me of the markings on my bunny
Dried basil
Sea salt
A tiny jar or vialÂ
Brown thread or stringÂ
Instructions:
Add the taglocks for yourself and your familiar to the jar - if you can manage to actually tie the two together with string beforehand then thatâs another viable optionÂ
Next, add the crystal you chose and a pinch of basil (love and protection) and sea salt (charging) as you focus on your intentÂ
Seal the jar, wrap the brown string/thread around the neck of the jar, and tie it off
Can be worn, carried on your person, or displayed somewhere you can always see it
Hello Lovelies!
So youâve decided to write a spell, great! Everyone has the capacity and capability to write a working spell. This is a list of some beginner tips for new spell writers, or for experienced writers who feel they need to go back to the basics.
1. Donât be afraid of your own style.
Some spells are super flowery with long words and Shakespearian phrases. Some spells require 18 ingredients and 3 days to cast them. Some spells require specific times to cast them and the perfect astrological conditions. Some spells are simple, consisting of a single phrase. Donât be afraid of your own individual style. A spell written by you, for you, should be a personal experience. Just because your spell doesnât flow a certain way doesnât mean itâs âwrongâ or wonât work. Spell writing is a form of self expression and each spell will be as individual and unique as the person writing it.
2. Donât think too much.
Spell writing (for me anyway) is more of a spiritual experience than an intellectual one. I usually sit down with my pen and paper. Then I meditate for a minute thinking about what I want to achieve. Then I just let the words flow out onto the paper, without thinking about what it all means. You can always read it after and make adjustments. If you just sit down and let it happen, you may be surprised by what you come up with!
3. Make your own associations.
Donât feel like you have to research the meaning of every ingredient or color that you use. I may think red is a color for lust while you see it as a color for anger. Both associations are right. If something doesnât feel right to you, or you personally feel different about something. Itâs ok to use an ingredient in a different way than what is âtraditionalâ.
4 Do research on any ingredients you use.
This may seem contradictory to my last tip, but this time Iâm talking about physical properties. Will your gemstone dissolve in water? Is that herb you want to use toxic? Could you have an allergy to that essential oil? Itâs important to do your research because some of the ingredients used in spell craft can be very potent. 5. Have fun!
If spell writing is stressing you out, try taking a break and coming back to it later. Whatever energy you have while writing your spell is going to show up in the casting of your spell. If youâre angry while writing a healing spell, it probably wonât work as well as you wanted it to. Donât get frustrated with yourself. Youâre new at this it will take some time. Just have patience with yourself.
I hope these tips are helpful for any new spell writers! Happy writing! -Liz
It is assigning meaning to dreams, meaning using what one dreams of and the symbols, objects and events of the dream to relate them to the psychological, emotional and sometimes spiritual state of the dreamer.
