As a female, hydration has to be one of your core values because our systems are far more physically and energetically linked to the water element than the male body which means that a higher quality of hydration has to be centered and nurtured in our bodies and in our realities, a hydrated consciousness. A properly hydrated female body of any age will be healthier in spine, skin, vaginal tissues, natural beauty, breasts, joints, intuition, and mind. Not only does proper hydration support healthy circulation, immune functioning, pooping, sensuality, and better sex, turn-on intelligence, magnetism, and creativity, it also leads to pain-free moon cycles and ease during the transition into menopausal years, including increased sexual desire and heightened post-menopausal intuitive awareness that we usually never hear about and remain great mysteries. I will be one of the first to demystify what's possible. Because with your hydration restored, you become a whole Goddess, dripping with life force as you innocently walk down the street feeling like warm sun. -India Ame'ye, Hydration chapter, Water Bearer, Opening paragraph

holistic wellness series: cycle synching

🌱 what is cycle synching?

in short, cycle synching is coordinating your lifestyle habits with the phases of your menstrual cycle.

🌱 benefits of cycle synching

cycle synching can help you optimize energy levels and improve your understanding of your cycle, which, in turn, can boost estrogen levels and even boost fertility. it can also improve your hormone balance overall, which helps ease stress and period symptoms.

the menstrual phase (days ~1-5)

exercise: since the energy is low during this phase, focus on low-impact movement. this can include yoga, walking, and stretching.

food: focus on comforting and easily digested food. soups, decaf tea, veggies (lots of greens!), etc.

the follicular phase (days ~6-14)

exercise: in this phase, energy begins to rise again. great exercise options can include moderate weight lifting or cardio, jogging, swimming, and pilates.

food: light veggies and fruit and lean protein, such as eggs, salmon, poultry (like turkey), and cheese.

the ovulatory phase (days ~15-20)

exercise: energy is the highest in this phase, so high-intensity and sweaty workouts, such as hiit or vigorous weight training are optimal here.

food: lots of fiber and water to support digestion and healthy fats such as fish, nuts, and avocado.

the luteal phase (days ~20-28)

exercise: energy begins to decrease before the cycle repeats. focus on moderate exercise such as bodyweight strength training, pilates, more intense yoga, and cardio.

food: healthy fats and lots of fiber! veggies such as sweet potato and squash, seeds, salmon, and dark chocolate are good options for this time.

you said you're not on other social networking sites anymore maybe except from tumblr and/or pinterest so how do you keep on being up to date? because you still seem like you are and it looks like it works for you

I mean, keep up with what? Random social media trends and memes? That doesn’t matter to me in the slightest. My life has not been impacted by missing out on that in any way shape or form. If you mean like news and current events, then anything that’s truly big big news will manage to be heard by people who don’t have social media bc it’s bigger than the internet. I don’t really care to keep up with small things you see on the day to day bc like, most of the time people just read the headline and then scroll past it 10 seconds later anyway, completely moving on from it mentally near instantaneously. So apparently it’s not that big of a deal. And if there’s something that pops up in conversation I just say I’m not familiar with it and people fill me in just like we do with everything else.

the way the bear showcased how difficult it is for older people to adapt to a “younger/quick changing work environment” is so personal and important to me.

and the way they also explored how tina was so quick to accept the change and adapt is also very important.

i adore this show

the audacity to call out someone who has achieved more than you is insane. that “i have a chance” must really be coming from a place of struggle because they keep trying and never succeeding.

oh your selfie made me realise you’re actually not as pretty as you think you are and I have a chance. phew . your ego needs to come down a bit!

hey man, you’re the one trying to compete with a random married woman for a “chance” at something lol. there are many much more effective ways at building self esteem than whatever this ask was trying to accomplish but baby steps, baby steps. You’ll get there some day. Either way, I’m glad you finally after all this time and at your big age, feel like you have a sliver of a chance now. Remember: I, nor any other woman, is your competition. The only one standing in your way is yourself. Don’t let the existence of a married woman who has already achieved things you had absolutely nothing to do with and no correlation to, who doesn’t even know you, hold you back any longer. I hereby relinquish myself as an obstacle in your mediocre life. You know, the life you’re still working on a “chance” at making something worthwhile of. Godspeed.
