I was just thinking about the amazing girls and women that the Tmnt franchise has produced over the years. But then I realized how the younger generation doesn’t really have that in Tmnt mutant mayhem (yet we are still waiting on Tales of the Tmnt). So I thoughts of a plot-lines for my four favorites in the mutant mayhem series.

Venus de Milo/Mei Pieh chi: Venus was born alongside her siblings in a pet shop. But when someone tried to take them home, they tripped on the sidewalk and accidentally dropped the baby turtles into the sewer. When splinter found them, they had been living in the sewer for about a day and the ooze can had been dropped onto them just a few minutes before. As splinter was loading the coffee holder he used to transport them in Venus slipped away from his sight and into the depths of the sewer. There she was mutated into a baby alone in a cold sewer tunnel and as babies did when they were scared started crying. That’s when a little girl who was wandering nearby heard her and came to the rescue. That little girl was Lotus. She had been left in the care of Dr Rockwell while her mother, Big Mama, was busy with “important business attributes”. Lotus brought Vee to Rockwell who continued to use her for experimentation and even though he hated to admit it to take care of her. Eventually big mama whisked Venus away after banishing the doctor from New York. Venus continued to live under the “care” of Big Mama constantly trying to make deals to protect her from going into the battle nexus. (To be clear big mama did not like Venus one bit. She (as far as big mama knows) was the mutation of one of her arch enemies. She constantly reminded her that she was a mistake and abused her for making mistakes such as asking for food or calling Big mama her mom instead of her aunt.)One of these deals was to go on a scouting trip with her sister for TCRI trying to find the turtle brothers. But she was never told that was who they were looking for. Long story short Venus finds them before the foot and disses her responsibilities to hang with them. Eventually lotus finds out what Venus is doing and is not happy about it. Venus has an excess of chi in her. Chi is the life source that fills most yokai but very few have excess too it and even rarer few can make it visible like the fire Venus creates. Although this usually only come in outbursts of emotion she eventually learns how to control it.(But not until a while after she meets the boys and splinter)

Lotus: Lotus is the biological daughter of Big Mama. Though she was originally a mistake due to her mothers many affairs, she was raised to know that only perfection is except able. In her early life her mother ignored her and she would usually be dropped off at her “uncle” Dr Rockwell’s lab/home for months on end. That is how she met Venus and brought her to Dr Rockwell. When she and Ve were about 8 or 9 and 10 or 11 years old Big Mama had his lab burned to the ground and started to raise Lotus to be as ruthless and perfect as her. She also made deals with her mother (unbeknownst to Venus) to protect her little sister from being exterminated or put into the nexus permanently. When she found out that her mother was working with TCRI she offered her skills to help seeing this as a perfect opportunity for bargaining chips and leverage when making deals. Eventually her sister Venus found a way to persuade Big mama into letting her help too. After week or two of working with the foot and TCRI soldiers and Venus acting super strange she found out her sister ditched responsibility for hanging out and befriending the enemy (aka Leo Raph Donnie and Mikey).

Big Mama: Big Mama is a spider yokai called a jorogumo. Although these creatures appear as flawlessly beautiful women they possess the same strength and brutality as a tarantula and the ruthlessness and deadliness of a black widow. She started up her hotel for all yokai kind with its own battle arena known as the Nexus. She is known as 2nd deadliest crime boss only in comparison to the Shredder. Although she can be frivolous she is also manipulative and very strategic. Every move is thought through carefully based on how harmful it is only to her opponents. She even does the same thing to her own family. Dr Rockwell was one of her past fiancée’s brothers and worked with resources that were funded by her. But when she asked if for the warriors that he promised were being made for the nexus, failed to comply. He argued that these were living beings and still infants at the time whom he would not allow to go into her brutal war games. Enraged by this action against her name she had his laboratory burned with him and most of the embryo and infant mutants still inside. When her daughter Lotus started to fuss, Big Mama told her if she would stop her useless crying then she save Venus and let them both live. Big Mama spent the rest of her life from that day forward mastering her skill of bending people to her will by practicing on and manipulating her daughter and unwanted niece.

Lita May: During the time that Venus spent growing up with Dr Rockwell he spent much of his time taking blood tests so he could use her ooze to create warriors for Big mamas battle nexus as promised for the funding of his research. One day Venus asked why they followed this same routine everyday. Rockwell told her it was because he was making more mutants just like her. Venus said that she always wanted a family like the ones on the tv. Rockwell felt pitiful for the toddler so he created an entire batch of clones that could be Venus’s baby siblings. And that is how Lita was made. Even though she was albino and premature she was the oldest and only survivor of the clone batch. She was ready to be taken out of her tube the day before big mamas attack. Both Dr Rockwell and Venus spent their first hours with Lita and last hours before the attack taking care of her and loving her like any family loving its new member. After big mama took Venus away she snuck Lita into an old forgotten attic of the hotel and raised her from there. Even though she didn’t have much Lita had her older sisters love and a happy childhood compared to what Venus had to endure. They made the most of what they had and loved each other. When the boys met her, she was a little shy and shocked at first but immediately started to warm up to them. Lita is a trans girl and feels very uncomfortable when being referred to as a boy or Venus’s brother. Venus gets very defensive when someone does this to her knowing that it is one of the only peace’s of freedom Lita will ever have: To choose what she wants to be.

THE CASEY TWINS HAVE ARRIVED!!

I’ve been hearing and thinking about this headcannon for I a while now so here’s some smaller headcannons:

Casey(left) and Cassandra/Cass (right) are on the Eastman High ice hockey team

By day they beat other teams in hockey by night they beat up perps like the Purple Dragons

The Purple Dragons are actually the reason why they became vigilantes after being jumped by Kendra and her squad

They live with their moms and little sister Angel(age 8 and eventual bestie of Lita)

They first meet Raph after he gets separated and become great friends with him from there

Casey even more so(😏)

Casey is the older twin

Cassandra is the most sensitive (never tell her I said that) and short tempered

Cass is mainly embarrassed that she bit off more than she could chew and has a physical reminder on both her and her twin

Casey tends to try and avoid the whole trauma thing following the logic that ‘if both of us are freaking out nothing’s gonna fix itself’

I’m probably completely and entirely wrong but I’ve had this theory about the day the world broke for weeks and now there are other mutant turtles so imma just spill.

So we know that the turtles had biological parents in dimension z, they were just too young or not fit to be parents so Splinter took them in from cps. But what if they weren’t the only kids? What if they had siblings and their mom just dropped them at a different place? Or didn’t get the chance to cause she got caught by their biological father?

This all stemmed from the one dream Leo had about living with his biological parents. It was so weird to me that Leo had these clear images of what his parents looked and acted like despite the fact that Raph admits in other chapters they didn’t remember anything but yelling and the playground they were abandoned at. While shredder could have made this up, how did create such a clear image into that reality. While he did create other dreams that didn’t happen directly to Leo, the Shredder still saw Riley through the scientists eyes and was in the police station lab and that one house they stayed in. He can clearly go through memories but Leo doesn’t have any of his biological parents or their house(unless it just wasn’t mentioned).

So here’s my theory. Shredder did see that memory just not through Leo. He saw it through one of the siblings that was stuck in the house with their abusive biological father. This would explain the vivid detail, the fears and memories provided in the dream.

The mutants in the cells may seem identical to the brothers but that’s just because they’re siblings(maybe perhaps Kirby, Venus, and/or the last ronin kids). These mutants are younger (like 15-13) so it makes sense that they are the secondaries to the older primaries. But how do they relate to the Shredder.

I’m not sure what it is about the brothers specific mutagenic dna but there has to be something significant there that I imagine is like a rare mutation within the mutants. But TCRI knows it’s them and specifically them. And they need whatever that weird property is to make a pocket dimension for … God knows why🤷. One problem with knowing their targets, they are minors and already are under watch from cps due to being abandoned as children. So you can imagine it’s a little harder to slip under that branch of the government noses.

But what a stroke of luck it would be that they manage to uncover the original house they were born into? What an easy backdoor it would be if, upon doing some further research, you find what appears to be biological siblings with very obscure medical records, a drugged mom, and a drunk dad? That would be insanely sad but great for TCRI know wouldn’t it?

Well in my theory they are that lucky and manage to successfully kidnap and contain all of for of them with barely anyone noticing. God that’s sick. And not cool sick like you are satanic sick.

Anywho so they go to make a pocket dimension, do whatever science shit they need to and stuff. But after a long and grueling experiment for both the anticipators for this project’s success and its subjects, they failed. No reaction other than physical and mental trauma on the mutant siblings and a messed up lab. Or so they think.

Little did those psychos know they just opened a big enough portal for shredder to crawl out of and into one of the siblings. After wandering around in that turtles body and mind for a little bit(a month) he realized that he can’t use this body to do anything and the kid has basically already given up in insane grief and shock(poor bb im so sorry but someone had to get the short end of the stick(im talking to the turtle)). Shredder finds a way to piggyback on something or someone hoping to cause chaos in the facility but accidentally gets shipped off to none other than Deer Creek.

As we know Steven didn’t receive the Shredder until after the failed phase but it seemed like he was obviously still in contact with a very much so still running TCRI. Even with TCRI on lock down during the invasion they probably had pretty recent shipments going back n forth right before this plan to create a pocket was put into effect. In one of these shipments is the lingering demon, the Shredder with a new toy to play with and a feast for the flesh and pain he will soon scavenge to find leading to his jump to poor Leo.

I am so sorry that this was so long and convoluted but I really wanted to get this idea out so I could stop obsessing over the possibility of it happening. @saladmix your fanfic is amazing and I am waiting with open arms for these new turtles to be properly introduced even if they are just mutant mayhem or directly clones cause that is badass too. If you sat to read through all of this I appreciate it.

WHERE THE FRICK IS CASEY JONES?!!!

FINALLY FINISHED THIS ART PIECE

I cannot tell you how much I struggled but it was soooooo worth it. This is just a little wholesome angst for my version of MM!/Tottmnt Venus. On the left is Venus holding her little sister Lita. To the right is Dr Tyler Rockwell holding Venus (og post that explains story right here). I don’t know why I keep doing this trend of posting more stuff about these characters when I make artwork of them but I’m starting to think about starting another MM!/Tottmnt au after Difference Between the Appearance. So ignoring that random info dump. Here’s my opinion on how Venus acts like and what her relationship with each of the boys is like:

Her Personality: Venus is a very very very very VERY weird girl. Not like creepy wolf girl weird but like Luz(Owl House) and Marcy(Amphibia) weird. She doesn’t find disgust in the casual weird creatures she meets when her and brothers are getting into shenanigans. Part of this is formed because she was raised around yokai but it’s mainly because she tends to lean towards the bright side of things in very “Welp at least it’s not completely hideous” kind of attitude. But other than that she’s just your usual dorky K-pop loving artistic teenage girl(scratch that there is absolutely nothing normal about this chi overpowered weirdo of a turtle mutant . . . but she is a fellow kpop fan). But one thing that is definitely most unique about Vee that’s sets her apart from her brothers and Jennika is that she is very proud of and comfortable with being a mutant. She doesn’t care if society doesn’t think it’s ideal. She don’t care about society’s ideals period. If it means she gets to live as her true self, which was usually being shunned and forcefully molded into something different by Big Mama, she won’t mind being rejected or called weird. This concept is something that she has raised Lita in and she usually tries to get her fellow turtle mutants to understand as she is confused why they want to be normal instead of themselves.

Vee is a hug friend/family first make sure they’re ok later kind of gal. If you’re someone she cares about deeply and something goes down, she will immediately attack you with a bear hug. She is usually very physical about her affection towards others but can also be somewhat wise when it comes to self worth and personal issues that may be affecting them. But don’t mistake her for her huggable demeanor. If you mess with her or anyone she cares about, you are dead in the water and about to get your butt whupped sooo bad. She can be short tempered with enemies but patient with allies and people in pain who she understands far too well.

PS: Venus and the main turtles don’t become siblings immediately. Though she does live with them for a while she is not officially their sister until Splinter adopts her and Lita(which would happen a month or two after Vee and Splinter meet and Splinter trains her to join his sons in battle).

Anywho now for her relationship with her bros:

Pizza and Boba: Venus and Mikey tend to be the batshit crazy duo. Always think of new crackhead ideas that their siblings could never begin to comprehend. One would stand on the other’s shoulders as they would try and reach for a vent to escape or just to snag the last pop-tart. Though Venus will tend to be a little more mature and aware of when things are getting too serious for jokes and games. They’re the 2 silly goobers of the group giving enemies nicknames. Mikey is actually the one who came up with the nickname Vee when they first met and in response Vee deemed him as Miguel. Speaking of when they met Mikey completely ignored the fact of how weird it was that they met another turtle mutant and immediately threw his trust into her hands and tried to get to her know her as much as he could. They also both try to avoid fighting the most and try to end matter’s peacefully or with a good joke.

Tech and Turquoise: Donnie and Venus probably have the closest relationship with each other out of all the brothers. They are an unstoppable in sync duo on the battlefield. Yet also a peculiar combo. Technology a passion based on logic and strict reasoning and Chi the free flow of life with no boundaries and no clear explanation. Vee opens up to Dee more than she does with anyone(even Leo) and Dee does the same(similarly to how he does with Mikey). When they first met, Dee was the one who pried the most into her past and her life as he had noticed her wounds and scars first. They both love kpop, in different ways, but it still gives Donnie someone to info dump with who will actually understand what he’s talking about. They are definitely the most sarcastic of the group and will eat you up and roast you dry if they can and whenever you dare think about trying it.

Red Fire meets Blue Fire: Raph is the must reluctant to connect with Venus considering she’s technically Big Mama’s niece. When they first met Raph drilled her with questions whenever she messed up the facade she created to protect them from Big Mama. Raph tries to ignore her interactions with him as an attempt to prepare himself for another betrayal. Once Vee finally tells the whole true story of her harsh past, he feels even more conflicted feeling sympathy for her pain. When they do eventually work out their problems Vee and Raph are the sibling duo who tease each the most but still care about each other in the end. Kind of like Luz and Hunter(Owl House). Raph and Venus are also the most short tempered of the group.

2 Shades of Blue 1 Little Sis and 1 Big Bro: Leo is the one who is the most gentle with Venus. He worries his head off about her pain after she reveals how badly she had been beaten down and then shoved back up again. She appreciates it of course but hates how much of a hypocrite he is when he calls her out for saying it’s fine after erupting like a teal volcano of chi. They hold each other up when they reach there low points. Leo always insists that he helps Vee get home after using her chi in battle for fear of her overwhelming her body(which happens quite frequently when she strains herself). And Vee always immediately swoops in and hugs her big bro when he gets upset and needs to just let it all out.

(P.S. When the boys tell her that Leo has a crush on April, Venus thinks it is the most adorable thing ever and starts cooing at her big bro immediately, causing his brothers to tease him for being adorable😜(same thing when she finds out Rasey get together))

Chapter 10 Part 1

“For years, I have trained you.”

Her father began standing before his throne. Karai stood with her head bowed. She knew this was coming. But the shock and fear still found a way to creep into her.

“Perfected you. Raised you. Created a vision into what this clan could live up to.”

Her father’s cold voice became harsher and harsher as it rose on each word. He paced to the wall.

“And now . . .”

Her father punched the wall, immediately creating a spiderweb of cracks.

Shimata

Karai had never seen anything good happen when he was this filled with rage. She needed to think of something. Anything. Now.

“THIS IS HOW YOU REPAY ME?! BY SURRENDERING THE MISSION?! BY NOT ONLY LETTING THEM LIVE! BUT TO ALLOW THEM TO ESCAPE AS WELL. THOSE VILE RATCHET BARBARIC CHIKU-”

“There are more.”

A beat of silence followed Karai’s interruption.

“What?”

Oh shimata that actually worked. Keep Going!

“There are more mutants. Than the four terrapin creatures. From what I gathered they consider themselves a family. Cousins and siblings.”

Her father’s figure loosened from its original stature. Moving to have his arms crossed behind him, back facing Karai. “And? What importance does this have to your failure?”

Karai was fighting both her giddy relief and anxiety at this point. To massive beast clawing at the edges of her mask.

“So instead of raising alarm to all of the mutants by obtaining a small group, why not use my role more to our advantage? If I gathered enough information you could devise the perfect plan to obtain all of the mutants. TCRI will have so many mutants in reach that they are more than likely to leave the majority to your disposal.”

A long stretch of silence came before the two warriors. Karai was preparing herself for the worst. Any day could be the end so she had to be prepared.

“You have impressed me my daughter. You may proceed with the mission. I will contact TCRI.”

She let out a heavy breath of relief. That was close.

“But. You still disobeyed me. And therefore a punishment must be imposed to restore your honor.”

Karai hesitated before bowing once more. There was no point in fighting or begging for this to stop. She chose this path but she wouldn’t be foolish enough to leave it to head into the woods.

He really let his anger out with that.

Karai hissed as she covered a bruise forming on her cheek. This was the least of her problems. She had plenty of other injuries. Plus 2 weeks of being suspended from field work.

That meant no school. No kickboxing. No hanging out with April. . . Nevermind. That still wasn’t an option until she apologized. But hey. She only had to wait 2 weeks for that awkward conversation. Yaaay

Speaking of which, Karai might as well have put her mask back on before she walked into her shared room. But no she was too tired for that and could use a discussion with Jennika no matter how restricted the seriousness of the tone could be.

She was already half way to her bed before her sister noticed her arrival. She was fiddling with her guitar. A common sign that quite the show had happened while she was gone.

“You will not believe how low Lieutenant has fallen. I saw him sparring with like 2 newbies, straight of the street, and they beat his ass so go-”

Jennika stopped mid sentence as Karai dropped to sit on her bed. Her wide smile of mischief was swapped with a look of concern melting from rage to annoyance. Jenn threw done her guitar carelessly.

“Ano meinu no musuko.” Karai’s roommate grumbled as she dug around for their first aid kit. They always made sure to have one in case of training or . . . situations. Like this.

Karai didn’t need to handle another situation right now. Especially if it put Jennika in danger. “Hey. Don’t bring my grandmother into this.”

Jenn turned her head furiously. “Unless she was like you then I don’t give a shit.”

“And if she was?” Karai playfully countered.

“Then screw me. At least she probably wasn’t half as reckless with her body as you are with yours.” Jenn flicked her forehead. Karai didn’t mind. She managed to lighten the mood.

Instead of focusing on Jenn’s poor medical technique, she started to pick that the fabric of the mattress. It was soft and firm.

. . .

“Jenn.”

Her sister hummed in response.“Thanks for breaking the tension. Felt like I was bouta choke on it.”

That got a chuckle out of both of them.

“I . . . I need you to call me a different name. When we’re out doing missions.”

“Is this because of the talk that got you and dad into this whole situation?” Jenn dramatically jestured to her face at the last bit.

Karai was honestly a little shocked. Her sister was blunt to say the least. But not usually when it came to situations. One of the few topics where she kept her opinion to herself. Karai was used to and thankful for that.

It wasn’t much of a topic one would like to discuss.

“Can we not talk about it?”

“Who said we would?”

Karai really did try not to let the feelings show but somehow they snuck onto her face. Jenn seemed to notice, seeing by the way her face detensed. She let out a frustrated sigh.

“Whatever happened, all I know is the only reason you’re here is because whatever you did that upset him was important enough to you to make you do it and find excuse to get you out.” Jenn pressed her forehead against Karai’s. “As long as you’re still smart and careful enough to keep getting out alive enough to be fixable then I don’t need to ask anything.”

Karai smiled as she leaned into her sister. “Watashi?”

“Anata.”

They sat for a while. It was dangerous to have moments like this in public. Compassion can be used easily as a tool against you in a ninja clan. Especially one as prestige as the Foot. So they saved this for their room. When they needed a place and person to let the walls fall down.

Jenn broke the silence by getting up to pick up her guitar. “So.” She clapped on the word. “What do you want me to call you? On the field?”

Karai thought about that for a minute. Looking around the room before landing on her bed. An old ichimatsu doll rested in the corner. Supposedly from her mother. She remembered blurs of being quite attached to the thing. But could never hook onto the memory of how the silky hair had become stained from blood.

“How about Miwe?”

Jenn snorted as she flopped back on her bed, guitar in her lap. “Alright! I like it. You ready to hear about what happened while you were gone now, Miwe.”

Karai chuckled at the thought of such antics. “Sure. I’ve got time to kill.”
