Hello, my name is Amal Ghilan, I am 25 years old, a mother of three children (Abdullah 8 years old, Salwa 6 years old, and the youngest is Nour 9 months old). We were living in a beautiful house full of happiness until this war of extermination came, our house was bombed on the third day of the war (and I was eight months pregnant at the time), our house and car were destroyed 😭
my father-in-law and my husband’s sister were killed, and we lost our only source of income, so we were displaced from one place to another more than once, and I suffered from severe malnutrition during my pregnancy due to the lack of bread until the time came for my delivery, so I did not have a warm crib or even clothes to protect my little girl from the cold of winter 😢, and we were in December, where the journey of childbirth is difficult without medical care, so I left the hospital with my little girl to that damned tent that was eating our bodies from the severity of the cold, as my children did not have warm clothes to relieve them from the bitter cold, and suddenly we saw death with our own eyes from the occupation tanks, so we were forced to move again to Rafah, despite the difficulty of displacement, it is very expensive in addition to the high price All the goods were crazy and we had no source of income which made my children suffer from severe malnutrition. 😔
Then in May we were forced to leave Rafah and go to a shelter school in Al-Maghazi where we lived with 6 families in one classroom. Suddenly the school was bombed and we escaped certain death, so we were forced to move to a tent in the Mawasi area of Khan Yunis where the sun’s rays began to burn our skin and melt our bodies. My children were afflicted with skin diseases and amoebiasis due to the scarcity and scarcity of water and the difficulty of bringing and carrying it from long distances under the scorching sun. And here we are suffering daily inside this hateful tent that does not protect from the heat of the sun or the cold of winter. I hope that you will help me save my children by evacuating them outside of Gaza before it is too late.

Hello Dear
My name is Tahseen Alkhazendar from Gaza City - Tal-Alhawa Area . As you are reading my message, my wife, 3 little children, and I are sitting in the north of Gaza City, starving with no food, water, or money. Every morning, my wife and I feel heart broken and disabled, when our children wake up asking us for food which we don't have and unable to provide to them at this time in Gaza.
Before October 7th, I was a successful business man who owned a driving school and graduated from the business management school. I worked hard to secure a decent and happy life to my family, and did my best to raise my children with dignity, pride, and respect. However, once the aggression started on Gaza, we were forced to evacuate our house and left everything behind. I struggle every single day to secure 1 single meal for my children. Specially my older son, Ibrahim, who suffers from the Celiac disease and needs a special food which I am unable to find in Gaza at this current time.
Unfortunately everything I owned is completely lost after my house and business got bombed and destroyed. We are currently suffering slow death in Gaza, sharing a small apartment with other families and living a devastating life.
It would mean so much if you could take a look at my GoFundMe and donate for my family🙏. By sharing and donating, you are helping me, my wife, and 3 children to survive the ravages of famine and genocide. You will give us hope to rebuild our home, and reclaim some of the life which was stolen from us.
Please donate and share/replog with others 🙏 🥺🙏.
Please be certain that any contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference in our lives 🥺. Thanks in advance for your kindness and support and may God bless you and your family 🙏.🙏.
Sincerely, Tahseen

Never Forget the Reign of Terror waged against Muslims (and by extension, Sikhs profiled as being Muslim) in the nearly two decades following 9/11.
Also, Delroy and Uncle Dan are queerplatonic lovers
I'm watching migration since it's finally on streaming and call me crazy, but I actually really enjoy Akwafina's voice work for Chump. I think her gravely sort of voice works really well for the character, since they have an equally gravely and tough personality.
Really just goes to show that when you pay attention to the character, rather than who's voicing them, celebrity voice casts aren't always bad. But the personality of the character should always be the priority.

entirely possible I'm looking at this through the wrong lens, and this was posted in a different context, but this sounds like justification for loli/pedo content
antis are exhausting.
"it's gross" is an opinion, not an irrefutable fact
"harassment of anyone is bad" shouldnt be a controversial statement
"everyone is allowed in the main tags" is true, even for the people you dont like. you cant control the things that people post, only the actions you take to avoid the triggering stuff
"someone of your intellect" is ableist no matter how you look at it
"it's deviant/could harm children" is recycled transphobic/homophobic rhetoric
fiction shouldnt hold your hand and tell you what your moral compass is. people are allowed to explore dark themes/tropes in fiction, even if it's triggering to you
stop making stuff you dont like into a morality/censorship battle. you cant control everyone around you, but you can control your own actions.
My name is Ayaa from Gaza city, I am a children’s teacher, 24 years old, living with my parents and siblings. We all used to live a peaceful life together in our home. As you can see this was my home before being destroyed totally. My home was a 6-story building but now it becomes ruins.
My parents worked 24/7 to be able to build our house, but now after all these years of hard working they have lost everything and become homeless, and emigrants.
As for our job and work, My brother and I had a training centre for languages, we had a dream of being able to teach kids , teenagers, and adults English language skills through camps, games, and many other ways. We worked together hand by hand to make it possible, and when it starts to come true a war broke out and blew up all of our dreams. One morning we woke up and watched the news, and saw our centre has been destroyed. At that moment, we were hopeless, powerless, and stray.
Not only our home, center, but also our family car. I still remember that moment when my mother sold her jewelry in order to buy the car to move easily. But can you imagine the moment you see the last thing you own is damaged, ruined, and smashed.
So for Gods’ sake, you are the only ones who can help us to rebuild our ruined life. I will be so grateful for your kindness and support.
AND it would have fit his character more!! since when does Five just go with something because others told him to? Even if they were other versions of himself, he's never been the type to just accept defeat, he's a dense, stubborn mf who will find a way around because no matter how deep he buries it beneath cynicism and doubt, the guy has hope and love for his family.
I think a better ending and message of The Umbrella Academy should have been that Five doesn't tell the others what he learns in the subway and about breaking the timeline, but instead he simply lives with his family, endlessly saving and trying to save the world. To live despite how dark it is and how hopeless it is.
To live in spite of hardship. To live and spit in the face of how hard and bleak it is.
To say, 'I lived' in spite of it all.
That should have been the message at the end.

kill the rhetoric that americans are so lazy that they won't take farm jobs. americans take labor intensive jobs all the time. the reason no americans will take farm jobs is because agricultural work is exempt from the vast majority of labor laws and labor protections, including the use of child labor. so only immigrants - people who have little to no protection from the law or other options for work - take most of these jobs. we have created a permanent underclass of labor and then say that americans are just lazy for not volunteering to be part of the underclass.
there are actually good discussions to be had about how alienated many americans are from food production (hi hello that's what my only popular post is about), but the real solution to this problem is to protect agricultural workers, citizens or not. ban child labor in its entirety. punish corporations and farm owners that abuse and poison their workers. reform the immigration process so that these people aren't barred from legal protection and recourse.
agricultural workers have been exploited since the dawn of civilization, but the US in specific has been doing this since slavery, and it evolved in the 30s when FDR's labor laws excluded them specifically because most agricultural workers at the time were black. now it's mostly latino immigrants.
food doesn't fucking pick or slaughter itself. but citizens aren't going to take these jobs when the entire industry is rife with abuse - both legal and illegal - and horrific wages and working conditions.
