Back to the homeland

Next week, the occupation will allow us to return to our homes from which we were forcibly removed on October 7. We will return to our neighborhood, our area, and our city, but after what the occupation has done to destroy it. We will come back to mourn our homes and our shattered memories. The occupation has literally brought us back to square one. We will start working anew for a dignified life. We will begin to clear the rubble of our homes and rebuild them from scratch. During this entire period, which might take two or three years, we will live in poor conditions and face hardships and bitterness at all times.

But we will not give up; we will continue to work and struggle to rebuild our homes and restore our city, and we will not abandon it until death. We will continue to work together as one group, and you, my friends, can join us in that.

Our family, the Dohan family, is suffering under painful and difficult circumstances in Gaza. Father Moatasem bears the burden of war every day alongside his son Youssef, while Nada and Nouran suffer from severe food shortages and contaminated water, which has led to many health problems due to environmental pollution. 🌍💔Mother Iman, who is in Egypt, devotes her effort to caring for her daughter, Nour, who was seriously injured as a result of the bombing that destroyed their house. 🏥🚨 Unfortunately, we have no other way to get help except through a GoFundMe donation campaign. With hearts full of hope, we appeal to you to support us in creating this campaign to provide treatment for Nour and purchase basic food commodities. Any donation, no matter how small, can make a big difference in the life of this affected family. 🍉🙏

We still refuse to wear wrinkled clothes or crumpled hijabs. We still take vitamins, cherish decorations, and embrace life with open arms.

These habits are deeply rooted in how we were raised; they are not new to us, and you could never change them.

War cannot alter or tamper with these aspects of our nature because they belong to us alone.

No one not anywhere has the right to criticize them, even in passing, during a peaceful and quiet evening.
