One of the players in the Break!! game is playing a living, person-sized, porcelain doll - think the form of the third image and the patterning of the first.
I’ve posted two of these before, but here are all 3 warforged commissions for @hinkledinkle together in one post! <3
The top two are heavily inspired and referenced from designs by Alan Blackwell by request.

To horribly over-simplify my current tabletop game, it's set in a single city, currently being taken over by a lawful-evil Wizard who has outmanuevered the lawful-good (but distant) monarch. The Wizard is evil because he wants total control over the lives of others. His DNA isn't relevant. One of the few remaining resistance groups are 'the goblins'. They're not all goblins. They don't resist because they have green skin. The farmer's union leaders were put on charges of treason, arrested and executed. The business leaders were bought off or threatened. the doctors have been "relocated for their safety" to a fortified 'hospital' that now functions to weed out undesirables if they come looking for help. The sewer worker's guilds were already underground. And that's where half the city's goblins (and about a tenth of the dwarves, and a bunch of others besides) were employed. Most of them were refugees or veterans from deep-wars to the west, took any jobs they could get, were comfortable underground, and familiar with the needs of functional sanitation in cave systems. So when the harvest riots ended in bloody repression, the goblins went underground, and started looking for the Wizard's secrets.
Putting all tabletop players into a college level ethics class and forcing them to turn in a paper on moral philosophy before buying a new book
One of the earliest lessons I had in 'adventure pacing' for running RPGs was a game where the players got arrested. When told "okay, you're all in individual cells [GM describes cells], what do you do? Look for vents, try to pick the lock?" "Sleep. We've been in continuous action for 36 hours, this is the safest we've been since we airdropped in!"
With Half-Life being talked about again, I do want to reiterate that Gordon Freeman went to work at one morning and; aside from being knocked unconscious and put into stasis a few times; went without sleep for the next six consectutive days
This might be Derek Guy's greatest masterpiece.
(The Twitter thread is probably easier to read and easier to look at the images, but I wanted to make sure it got preserved. Images are the tweets.)

Absolutely this. Even setting aside the showier stuff that happens later, Roshar is a living world, alive with motion.
If the Stormlight Archive ever gets an adaptation, I hope it's animated. You can get so stylistic and expressive with the spren in a way that just wouldn't look good in live action. You don't even have to point them out until Syl starts talking to Kaladin. They can just be there, present and unremarked upon. Firespren dancing around the bonfire at the Treaty feast. Fearspren from the guards Szeth attacks. Windspren blowing in the breeze during the battle that introduces us to Kaladin. Painspren as Cenn gets wounded.
All before Syl starts talking. First 10 minutes of the first episode, there have been artistic flourishes in every scene. And then one of those artistic flourishes becomes a main character.
im watching a little doc on youtube about an 11th century castle, and theres a bit where they are talking to a group of older women who are working on a large hand embroidered tapestry commemorating its nearly 1000 years of history & into the modern era.. and off on the border they show a bit where the women have stitched themselves working on it into the piece itself, and it made me kinda emotional
how amazing to have a visual depiction of the women who spent literal years painstakingly stitching such a wonderful piece of art that historically would have gone uncredited
Ice cold takes from a Transgender Woman:
Not all Men are evil
Everyone has the capacity for evil
Transgender Men are men
Transgender Women are women
Excluding Cisgender Men from your spaces requires Transgender Men to out themselves if they want to engage (Same for Women)
Anyone can be Non-Binary, there is no "look" or requirement
Non-binary masculine presenting people should be welcome in queer spaces, many are just treated as men and predators
Non-binary feminine presenting people should be welcome in queer spaces without being seen as "Woman-Lite"
I remain a massive fan of the incredibly gutsy decision to have the big finale fight of season 1 not be a big flashy aerial sword-duel, but an old man with a box-cutter vs a kid who had to relearn how to walk a few months ago. (that said Asuna-Yuuki is a masterclass in combat-characterisation. Not just Asuna and Yuuki's personalities shining though how they fight, but the reactions of their friends being reminded that Asuna is That Damn Good, and Kirito's smile because... Kirito always knew she could fight like that)
do you guys think there’s a fight that’s universally loved and hyped up by the sao fandom
hey ao3 can you like give the extra $38k you made from this month’s funds drive to charity
