i’ve been thinking about reverse kidnapping scenarios w/ my ocs….

i don’t know how you’d even begin to get into this situation but the disgraced god would be all like “oh woe is me i am so powerless against you. i suppose i have no choice but to submit” and everyone around them is like :| bruh.

you tell the first hero you’re going to kidnap him and he all but jumps into your arms. actually, he’d be up for carrying you instead if you’d like…. he’s sooo powerless against you. guess he has no choice to do what you want, huh?

the second hero at least actually pretends to not have any other choice and to be overpowered but his boner tells you everything you need to know. he keeps fidgeting and his face keeps getting more and more flushed

you manage to actually kidnap the werewolf but he gets rescued and you’re like ah fuck. i can’t fight those. but when you come back he’s knocked them all out himself and his tail is wagging while he awaits your praise

the vampire lets himself get kidnapped but pretends to put up a bit of a fight so you treat him roughly. will purposefully act out just so you get more rough with him. cries when you tell him his ransom was paid

you come home and the playboy is sprawled over your bed with a rose in his mouth, saying something like “if you wanted me all you had to do was ask” and you’re confused because you’re 100% sure you left him tied up in the locked basement??

literally i just can’t comprehend any interpretation of hamlet that doesn’t put grief at the center like. hamlet’s father died and he is actively grieving throughout the play that is the driver of all of his behavior. “is hamlet actually crazy or is he putting on a performance” is a boring question to me because grief is a type of insanity. grief makes you feel like you are performing even when you are all alone. it makes you feel like you’re seeing things it makes you feel completely alone it makes you cling to the people around you it makes you push them away it makes you angry and sad and hamlet wants to kill claudius for replacing his father and taking his mother from him as much as he wants to kill him for revenge.

I love reading writers for whom english is their second language and analyzing how their first language influences their style. People whose first language is romantic tend to be very descriptive and flowery with their english, whereas german or russian first language speakers are a lot more concise and almost abrupt. Most of the japanese writers I've read have had a simple, surrealist quality to their writing. Almost like watercolor paints. I just find it interesting.
