Kim Namjoon is in a shit mood.

An organization that – to this point – has had as much impact as a fart in this city is on his radar for the second time in a month. One of his most trusted captains has been keeping him in the dark about a situation that has put him at odds with that same organization. And it’s a Thursday, which means his wife is probably making Jjajangmyeon.

Namjoon does not skip Jjajangmyeon night.

But tonight, he’s doing just that – trading his seat at the dinner table for the passenger seat of Hoseok’s luxury sedan. He’s already chewed his way through half a roll of the mints he took up when he stopped drinking and the air in the car is starting to smell like a tube of toothpaste.

“Run it down again,” he orders tersely.

Hoseok keeps his mouth shut. He’s been largely silent for this entire ride, steering well clear of Namjoon’s dangerous mood. He locks eyes with Yoongi in the rearview mirror and raises a brow.

That’s all you, pal.

Yoongi clears his throat.

Yesterday, I wrote about a post about the whitewashing that can happen in BTS fanfics and why we need POC writers in general - and in the BTS fandom. The beauty of such a large and diverse BTS fandom is that there are so many talented ARMY authors in our fanfic communities. As I mentioned in my post about how whitewashed BTS fanfics can be, I get especially happy when I come across fellow POC writers. Thanks to my own reading and networks of BTS friends and writers, I’ve compiled a list of BTS fanfic writers of color as a jumping off point to explore more POC authors and content creators.

If you are a writer of color and I did not include you (or didn’t rec a fic of yours), it’s nothing personal. Sometimes, I don’t know if writers identify as POC or I just haven’t come across your fics yet. Feel free to comment with your handles and a fic to check out and I will try to add you or update when I get a chance (and if I don’t, at least it will be in the comments once the comment itself is approved or moderated).
