The light I shine illuminates the meadow, tinted blue
The wind sweeps your hair briskly
You look up, at this celestial thing
Pockmarked with time, the scars of past troubles
And think to yourself, inside yourself, where I cannot see
Do you wonder at my light, keeping you out of the dark and away from the trees?
Or do you realize that this light is not my own, but borrowed
From my fiery brother, who sleeps under the horizon
And that I merely reflect, imitate
His brighter, lighter warmth and touch
I cannot warm you, as you shiver in the cold
I cannot show off every contour of your face
I cannot reveal the hues of the flowers you hold, in the blue tinted meadow
I worry that this is what you think
With those deep eyes, as wide as the starry sky
I worry that I am not enough
Cannot be enough
Compared to the others around me
Perhaps I am wrong; you may not see that at all
But as long as I think of this, and think of you
No matter how much I may love you
I am as far away, and hard to reach
As the moon
I fear we have [redacted]bossed too close to the sun

Thank you science side of tumblr
The problem with nuclear power plants is that you would want the workers to observe the processes carefully to avoid disaster, however nuclear power plants generate energy by boiling water, so the plant technicians can’t watch what’s happening or the water won’t boil due to the Watchpot Phenomenon. Thankfully scientists have overcome this hurdle in recent decades by squinting so the water thinks their eyes are closed and that it isn’t being watched
I agree! Considering solar radiation, hiding inside of lava tubes is probably the best place to put colonies/bases.
underground planetary bases would be really cool!
