To the person or people in my inbox who keep messaging me regarding Palestine donations---I know y'all are scams. I probably have had over 10 this past week alone. I've blocked you over and over and you keep harassing me. The next message I get in my inbox that asks me for donations when I know for a full fact you're a scam because I've checked your mess, I WILL be reporting you. Full stop.
I also really like it because Jinshi had apologized and taken accountability for making Maomao uncomfortable. Plus, the nature of Jinshi getting the ox bezoar is so cute. It's why I can't hate this ship despite Jinshi sometimes being a weirdo to me, because he does usually tend to make up for it with his occasional sincerity.
While everyone—myself included—is raving about the frog scene... I absolutely adored the door scene at the end...
She sees him for him and that's why I love them so much. I loved the introspection we got from Maomao about her not understanding and picking up on other people's emotions well... But in this moment, she said what he needed to hear most... And then, in true JinMao fashion, this serious and impactful moment of sincerity was interrupted by tomfoolery...
You guys don't understand how much I love the duality of JinMao... They have such a complex and nuanced dynamic—but at the same time, they're so silly...
First and foremost, I love your art style.
Secondly, I deeply appreciate how you gave Kagome a longer skirt instead of the typical mini skirt she has. It definitely suits her more (especially given the whole reincarnation of a priestess thing)
I can see the direction of this turning the mage into a very creative, intelligent, and/or whimsical person----or it makes them dumb as a rock, lol
"Well, it seems our mage now has uh...quite the mindframe now since the incident."
*pans over to the mage who's now attempting to eat a fluffy dandelion and choking on the fluttering seeds*
When a mage is badly injured, magic sometimes "fills in the gaps"—growing an arcane hand or leg. You suffered brain damage that would have killed most. Magic filled in your mind.
Cringe at myself as a person, tolerate myself as a writer :)
Love myself as a person, hate myself as a writer.
I'm sorry not sorry but I do not understand the sympathy Oushi gets in A Sign of Affection.
Sure, some people struggle with shyness and emotional availability but there is a major difference between that and straight up being a d---
Oushi is just a crappy friend and even crappier at showing someone he supposedly likes that he cares about her. As far as I'm concerned, he did it to himself. For me, Oushi is just a reflection of how a tsundere would actually be handled in real life.
He belittles her and is just a douchebag for no reason. He even learned sign language just to continue being a douche to her. And yet I see people being like, "He just loves her so much" or "Oh I feel so sorry for him---" I know I don't (lol).
I understand people have flaws, but you cannot actively mistreat someone on a consistent basis and expect them to put up with it when they have a better option. And I'm sorry to say it, but Itsuomi is the MUCH better option because he actually treats Yuki like a person---whereas Oushi treats Yuki like an inconvenience. On top of that he's also low-key abelist because he legit tries to convince Yuki that going to school wouldn't be a good idea. He acts like she'll burn like a vampire if she walks outside. I get wanting to support someone, but that doesn't involve isolating them (ahem, Hanako-Kun, ahem).
How the [BLEEP] are you gonna avoid telling your feelings to someone for TEN YEARS and then be upset when someone beats you to the punch? You can't ignore a diamond on the ground and be mad when someone else picks it up. Oushi's annoying, controlling, belittling, possessive, and hypocritical---it's a heck naw for me.
If y'all like men who have the emotional maturity of a middle school boy who thinks insulting you is the epitome of affection, then fine---but I do know this: Yuki deserves better than that. She's been through so much crap, finally finds a guy who treats her good, and Oushi wants to come mess it up because he didn't have the balls to be upfront with his feelings.
It got even bigger this week 😂
Y'all have been going crazy with the support, thank you so much. This is actually insane.
Canderemy from Phineas and Ferb is what Adrienette wishes it could be.
I said what I said.
This might be out of left field and I know I'm INCREDIBLY late for commenting on this topic, but I now wholeheartedly understand why people were such zealous shippers for Jack Frost x Elsa back then and even now (the shippers are still alive and kicking).
I don't know about anyone else, but aside from the whole ice x ice dynamic (and the whole thing with ROTG not knowing how canonically old they wanna make Jack), I personally think it's actually a rather great pairing if we look at from a story telling angle.
Aside from the obvious tragic nature of Elsa falling for an immortal being (not like we haven't gobbled up pairings like that before), I think a relationship---or heck, even a friendship would've been a great thing for both of them. ESPECIALLY if we're talking about how Elsa was as a person early on in the movies.
Now, that's not to say I agree with the whole, "dating to fix the other person" thing, but I do headcanon that Jack probably would've helped Elsa realize she can be who she truly is. In more ways than one, I think they would've influenced each other to be better people and help each other regarding their isolation since they both start off as characters disconnected from the world(s) around them.
Especially now that Elsa can ALSO communicate with the wind who's dubbed Gale (how convenient, Disney), I think it gives them more ground to work with and would allow these characters to relate each other in ways other characters may not be able to with them.
I understand if people DON'T ship it, but you gotta admit there's a LOT of juice to squeeze from these two (fanon-ically) interacting.
They mean everything to me ☺
