-post council room explosion Jayce (specially memorial attack) going back in time to S1 act 1 Viktor after they discover hextech and him just holding him and Viktor being concerned on why he has a bandage on his back. He thinks Jayce hurt himself in their new lab until his Jayce walks in and s2 Jayce refuses to let Viktor go.

-Similarly S2 Act 2 Jayce being sent back to s1 the day of the council room explosion and he runs into himself and tries explaining to him that he can't let Viktor go to the meeting forgetting he can just change the day of it and then Viktor himself comes in and s2 Jayce keeps begging him to stay in the lab.

-(s1 specifically) The members of the council assuming Viktor and Jayce are together because of how they just refer to each other as "my partner" instead of lab partner or work partner but they make no move to correct them when they realise the misunderstanding. This somehow makes it back Zaun and when Jayce uses Jinx against Silco for the treaty, Silco uses Viktor against Jayce.

-Silco, Vander, and Felicia raising Viktor (he never meets Singed) but after the bridge he stays with Silco and doesn't go to the academy. I have seen some fics like this but in this one he doesn't work for Silco or anything just lives with him and sees him as a father figure despite what he does. In this instead of Vander's kids breaking into Jayce's apartment it's Viktor because he was at Benzo's and was intrigued by his work. Jayce catches him during the break in but instead they work together because Viktor corrects him on one of his equations or something. The fic could just be Viktor keeping it secret from Silco that he has a friend/crush from Piltover. This does mean Vander is alive and Powder doesn't become Jinx also Sevika stays on Vander's side since there was no enforcers coming for his kids causing her to switch sides because of his being neutral. In this au Viktor would be Silco's only kid.

-Jayvik meeting once as kids then meeting again in the academy but they remember each other then start dating while in the academy and possibly engaged by the time they start hextech.

Jayce's protectiveness and need to be with Viktor after realising Viktor is dying is special to me but also makes me want to scream.

Prior to the hospital scene it's the "Are you sure this is safe?" "Of course not" and while Jayce does look concerned he leaves the lab. (He had that meeting with Mel but still)

After the hospital he immediately becomes slightly more protective and stays even if it's dangerous, the scene with the bomb. When Viktor triggers it Jayce panics but he doesn't leave Viktor even though they could've both blown up/been hurt.

Then when the hexcore destroys the plants Jayce instantly moves in front of Viktor. Another instant of this protectiveness is when Heimerdinger says he's shutting it down after seeing the plant + hexcore and Jayce says "No I won't let you" and "Professor this could save Viktor's life" which is what triggers Jayce into taking Heimerdinger off the council. While he does bring up other points to it in the meeting itself the main motivation was this scene with Viktor.

Then finally the whole "Promise me" scene Jayce did not want to make that promise, we visibly see him hesitate to make it and only accepting because of how important it was to Viktor. Unfortunately for Viktor in the opening of s2 we see Jayce's love and want for Viktor to live was more important as he breaks it to save him.

god the jayce&viktor divorce has me SICK every time I think of it. To viktor, jayce is the only one who appreciates him, the only one he views as a friend. But when jayce revives him his morals and his fear for annihilation collide once again. Viktor has repeatedly been unwilling to harm others for his ambitions, shutting down his projects for hextech when sky died. But what happens when the only one who understood you breaks those morals? But what happens when you’re the one who’s injured? But what happens when your ethics and love and ambition meet each other and you can’t reconcile with that? What happens if the one you need most is the one who crosses the line? What happens if the one you need most gifts you the curse of life again when you had embraced death’s grip for your hubris, the ambition you spent your entire life yearning to satiate? What happens if out of misery and confusion and sorrow you look to the one you need most, and it’s the one that harmed you the most, and now that you can no longer meet their eye, you can’t turn to anyone else? What happens if the one you need most is tainted forever in your vision, and you are left to wander the world without a piece of your soul? What happens if the one you love is the one that breaks you? IM SOBBIGNF
