I don't usually block the ones that just follow me... because I want to make an army
Funniest thing on Tumblr is the sex bots following/messaging me when I'm aroace
If you ever wondered what an angel is called, the answer is Rahul Dubey!
I don't know if it's just me, but I always saw what Max was doing as teaching Bart to mask (in the way society teaches autistic people to mask).
While Wally wanted Bart to change, Max just wanted Bart to be able to fit in without criticism.
It's so interesting that Max on multiple occasions confronted Wally about his frustrations with Bart by saying matter of factly "This is who Bart is and this is his inherent nature" as a point of criticism on Wally's approach only to in his own home to try force him to change his very nature and persistently refused to try and understand him.
They make my mind spin like spinach in a salad spinner.
You are the devil. I sat here for 20 minutes, debating which one to pick.
you know what I'm curious, for the duke girlies (gender neutral)
This is a nice break from the angst that I have been tormenting myself to... within my own head of course
Slightly belated Happy Father’s Day to the man who never wanted kids and the boy who needed a dad. Print in the reblogs.
Bart also has a prosthetic knee after it got shot out by Deathstroke during a Teen Titans run (don't know if it's cannon anymore, but still)
Why do they deserve to win?
Bart Allen
Dick Grayson
Or, black cat Thad and orange cat Bart
Catboy Thad dogboy bart
It's even funnier if you remember that Owen is Barts' half-brother. So not only would Tim br dating his parents murderers son, but he'd also be dating one of his best friends' brothers. XD
You know if Dick had a relationship Tony Zuccos kid:
and Bruce is having relationship with Joe Chills kid:
then if we’re following trends…:
Just to add to this, the entirety of the core-four/Tim's era of sidekicks are all drawn in incorrect ages at some point (or all the time in Barts' case)
Going off their ages in the original YJ comics, Tim is 2 years younger than Jason Todd (who will be my reference point), Bart and Cassie (I think) are both a year older than Tim (making them 1 year younger than Jason), and lastly KON IS THE SAME AGE AS JASON!
Which is something to think about since Jason is drawn like a man going through a mid-life crises but Kon is still drawn early 20s (or younger.)
Therefore, (going off Jason's' age being 22-23):
Tim: 20-21
Bart and Cassie: 21-22
Kon: 22-23
Personally, I think Kon and Cassie are the only two that are drawn to their correct ages (including Jason) and DC need to get their act together and get everyone's ages in order.
"Bart's aging has always been everywhere so it's not invalid to draw him like this [9-11 years old]."
Incorrect. While Bart's aging has been variable throughout the comics it has always been explained by a very clear and blatant events preceding the aging.
The youngest Bart has been in the comics barring flashbacks, and literal one-off aging time shenanigans, is 12 which was a thing for all of 3 pages then he rapidly aged to 14 and was stable for a long, long time.
Bart did not experience any changes in his aging (baring one gag issue where he was a toddler, and the Sins of Youth arc where he was an adult temporarily) for at least two years comic-time.
After apprehending Superboy Prime, Bart was aged to an adult, against the advisement of Geoff Johns and Mark Waid he spent time as The Flash until he was given a mercy kill.
Bart was brought back to life by Brainiac 5 in Legion of Three Worlds where he was reset back to his original age before he was aged up, landing him around 16-17 years old.
Flashpoint happened and he was taken out of comic continuity.
Bart come BACK into comic continuity but we are uncertain what his age is - and this is also something he himself is noted as saying he's not sure what his age is either. Logically, if he never aged while in the Speed Force then when he popped back out he would still be around 17 years old. This is the youngest he can be. Tim, Cassie and Cissie meanwhile aged around a year since Flashpoint and their ages are nebulous. Kon's age as well is uncertain.
Realistically, the Core Four should be in the 18-20 range at the youngest, but if we're going to be 'fair' and accept the reboot fucked age relationships up - then their last posted ages anywhere from 16-18 would be valid.
Bart is not being drawn anywhere near that age group currently in the current run of The Flash and is consistently being depicted as smaller than Jai. This could be valid, as 13 year olds can be VERY BIG and for some completely at their adult height - but the thing is Bart is being drawn SMALLER than he was pre-Flashpoint.
I am so sorry I am so agitated. Even being FAIR it doesn't add up or make sense.
Fixed typos and an error.
(and Thad, but shh)
Instead of Bart being saved and sent to the past by Meloni and Iris, he instead stays in the future and under the rule of President Thawne.
He is then basically groomed and made into a super-soldier/mercenary for the government along side Thad (who is Barts' twin and not a clone). The two grow up in VR together and the simulation basically trained them to be said soldiers.
Then they two get sent back in time by President Thawne to kill Wally - who is their father, because we don't have Barry.
In the end, the two have a redemption arc and end up helping Wally while still having the skills and mindset of children who were groomed into soldiers.
Pure autism bellow;
The reason Bart and Thad grow up together in VR is to create a sense of only having each other. They won't be loyal to Thawne, only to each other simply because they are the only ones they've ever known. The lack of human contact in Barts' backstory always seemed weird to me, since it wasn't really explored, so having the two of them will allow them to still have the sense of humanity.
The ageing problem: For those unaware, Bart experienced rapid ageing dur to the speed force and was only able to start ageing normally when Wally fixed him. This gets changed to the scientist fixing them, but after a longer time - so Bart and Thad are both ~15-16 when they go to the past instead of being 12-15.
Wally being their dad is so they have more of a connection (also I think It'd be really cool if Wally didn't know and Bart and Thad used it against him once he found out). Also because, again, there is no Barry.
Lastly, the whole VR thing. I always found it weird that the VR was like a weird game/fever dream. Like, why would the government spend so much money and time on a child to get nothing out of it? So, having the VR actually be more similar to something like Elden Ring or Skyrim where it's opened world and they can talk to whoever - but they have to fight a bunch of big bads. It'll also be really intreating to explore the lack of care for other human life because they wouldn't realise that people aren't just code until later. (murder twins, and when Wally gets mad at them they get confused because they simply don't understand)
Uhhh... yeah. Bart and Thad being brother and child soldiers for the government sent back in time to kill their father is something I'd like to see.
(I just want to explore the consequences of children being raised in VR and not being socially conditioned properly... man, I have issues).
If Thad was to ever come back (and was characterised/written correctly), he should join the Outlaws to complete the set of Bat, Kryptonian, Speedster, and Amazon.
It would also be really funny to watch everyone else react to that (especially Bart and Tim)
