"Mmm?" Tera is half asleep, scrolling through her phone.

"Is something wrong?" And Kiara is next to her, looking at Tera's phone- which are probably memes.

"Rings?"

He gets a curious look on his face and goes searching for his sister, finding the door to her room slightly cracked. There are two voices on the other side in hushed tones.

"You think you'll regret it?"

"Of course not. We both agreed on it right?"

Oh! Miss Roth must be staying over again... but what are they talking about?

"Just wanna make sure you're okay doing this, it's not fun otherwise."

Wat?

The sides of his head burn, s-should he be listening to this?

He knocks on the door briskly before walking in. He stumbles on... a scene.

Tera is slipping a ring on Kiara's finger, it's gems now modified to be partially teal and partially purple. They both immediately jolt, staring up at Bishop as his eyes wander to the matching ring around Tera's neck.

His eyes hollow.

"N-no. B, this- I can explain..." Tera moves a bit towards him, nerves displayed clearly on her visor.

He's screaming down the stairs a moment later. "TERA AND KIARA ARE ENGAGED! SHE JUST PROPOSED!"

"SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU GOD DAMN DRAMA QUEEN!" Tera roars after him- trying to catch him to literally shove a sock in his mouth.

Hey Bishop, can two female drones even get one of them pregnant? I recall V and Lizzy saying they used an external machine to combine their code, though come to think of it, I don't recall what happens after the machine combined the code.

"Yes. It's entirely possible."

"Drones were initially created as gender neutral, blank faces, white eyelights, basic voice patterns. It's because of this default base code that our reproduction method works the way ot does. It was originally just used to copy desirable traits into a new machine, similar to cloning a hard drive."

"Now, any drone can combine with any other drone, regardless of outward gender expression." He closes his eyes for a moment, a settings menu appears for a split second. When he opens them again and speaks, his voice is very feminine.

"Our gender is just a series of if/and statements and any feature can be changed anytime, except hair and eye color." He closes his eyes again, and switches his voice back to normal.

"The receiving core takes trait data from the donor core and processes it, gender isn't even taken into account, so long as someone has the hardware to connect the cores."

"Aunt V and Aunt Liz didn't want to deal with developing the new neural network inside either of them, so instead they hooked themselves up into a machine that combines and gestates the code externally, and when finished, can be uploaded into a shell like normal."

"I hope that was an educational demonstration."

ITS CHATON

Kiara are you gonna take care of her for the rest of the day? And Tera what are your nightmares about?

"I'll probably have to. She won't let me leave anyway." Tera is curled around her, staring up at the ceiling.

"Uh-Uhm." Her voice is slow and dreamlike. "I'm hunting down... drones. My freinds." She knits her brow. "I don't want to hurt my friends."

"Worst ones I'm...hurting Kia... don't want to hurt her. Like her." She hums, voice trailing off as she forgets what she was talking about.
