it's so funny that Revue Starlight is a franchise. Bushiroad picked up this idea and made an anime for it and started making a gacha game and spinoff stage plays and then the final episode of the anime literally turns to the audience and says "hey, you see their suffering? that's your fault, because the audience is complicit in what is done for their entertainment. the only way to save them is to no longer be an audience member"
