Well, your version rolls just as well.
P.S. I’ll try to give some more ideas for “Obsession” later.
catching legendary Pokémon has always made me a bit uncomfortable like? tapu koko is in my pc box rn. who’s protecting the island. Arceus is pretty much god and probably has better things to do than follow the commands of a 12 year old but ok
I know it, especially his not-omnipotentness (and when I see a fic with Arceus Almighty, I immediately see a lazy writing). It’s just a way to explain such a amount of Alpha Pokemons and, you know, cram this dex entry (which may contain a false information) into a gameplay. However, I do not want to play it this way in my fic, so, there is only one Arceus in it - not omnipotent, not really that powerful (no more than in anime) and definitely NOT the best parent ever (though not the worst either). What about you?

Well, this makes a lot of sense, because:
1. Why would she put herself and her precious, beautiful and beloved Nihilego under the attacks? She already has those pathetic Pokemon, which are waiting to be used! She’s also Totem-Boosting them, so they will not fail to protect their mistress!
2. This form is damn fragile. All it took to destroy was one attack from Solgaleo/Lunala.
3. She tried to attack protagonist and Lillie directly after the Pokemon battle ended, but received Solgaleo’s/Lunala’s attack in the face and broke apart.
Lusamine fused with a fUCKING ULTRABEAST TO BECOME SOME NEW ULTRA-ULTRABEAST and yet she uses her OWN FUCKING POKEMON TEAM
Do you remember Dex entry on Arceus? The “It is described in mythology as the Pokémon that shaped the universe with its 1,000 arms.” one? I think, that what we get under the name “Arceus” in games is really just one of these “arms”, which he sorta “donates” to player.

As a matter of fact, I do, and yes, I’ve read “Obsession” completely.
So uh…would anyone mind going over Obsession with me and helping me write this chapter?
I can try to help you.

Demiurg-scientist dies, problem of the “time’s cancer” is solved by travelling through multi-dimensional time.
Keep an eye out for this very specific but very vague landscape and say hi to the alien who may or may not be there
While it’s more a flying whale castle island here, I do see the point. However, as you can see here,
it’s pretty far away from the progenitor of the airship we both know and love.

While also multiplying whatever lies in my 6th item slot. Now, how do I call you?
Colress is worst (like he just saw keyboard yesterday), James is the best (he can do this with closed eyes and he turns this into ART!)
With Dialga and Celebi around, you can never be sure.
come on hau you can do it
Reading and writing fanfiction has actually helped me to improve my English.
Reblog if you think it’s a good way to practice writing.
Reblog if you have made friends because of fanfiction.
My sister called it a waste of time and I want to prove her wrong.
Finally, my trainer avatar truly represents me.
IIRC, only female Salandites can evolve.
How do I evolve Salandit? Is there a trick to it? High Life is level 41 and nothing has happened. How about Charjabug?
Well, this works just as well. Looks like I was pretty inspired from watching “Volcanion and the Mechanical Magearna” some time ago - specificially, by Eliphas. Hovewer, Artist!Jirarudan in the Azoth Kingdom regency outfit... Well, he may change them according to what artwork he works on at the current moment (he may have some odd habits, you know, especially because he’s that kind of artist).
APPARENTLY IN ANOTHER WORLD HUNTER J GIVES OUT RARE POKEMON
Continuation (Lawrence III and Yveltal).
Lawrence III is a scientific genius and the single best artist in the Pokemon world. He travels all around the planet in his giant airship - Flying Palace of Arts - and seeks inspiration everywhere and in everything, creating unique and priceless artworks in process. During the Orange Islands Incident, he tried and succeeded in awakening Lugia to get the inspiration he was seeking throughout his entire life. After the incident was over, he has donated his entire art collection, except for the Ancient Mew card, to the Shamouti people and flew away in his somewhat damaged Flying Palace of Arts. His last heard words were “How it all began, and how it will begin... again.”
“I’m afraid I’m not a trainer, young lady, I’m merely... an artist. I’ve began my artline with the Ancient Mew card, and now, I’ve created all this. Legendary Pokemon have always been my passion, and soon, my artwork of life itself will be Legendary.”
Unlike her normal world’s counterpart, backwards world Yveltal does not look that fierce and predatorish. While her body retains the normal Yveltal look, her eyes are not full of anger and a desire for prey. Instead, they are almost always filled with sadness and sorrow, because she never forgets those she was unable to save. Hovewer, she loves playing with both human and Pokemon children, because, as she says, “It’s one of those things that gives a meaning to my life”, and during these sessions, she may temporarily get herself out of her depressed state and become happy.
“Why do I, the Destruction Pokemon, look like this? Because I understand the value of life, unlike the Life Pokemon, Xerneas. What a cruel irony - the Life Pokemon loves to create a new means to kill and the Destruction Pokemon is the one who saves lives from the twisted creations of Xerneas. Being functionally immortal and having nearly infinite memory, I can never forget those I was unable to save and had to put out of theirs misery. Even more painful to me is that I was not able to save Zygarde from the one of the most evil Xerneas’s creations - the mind-altering virus. Sometimes I think, that there is nothing I can do about this irredeemable immortal psycho Xerneas, and it makes me want to curl up in the Cocoon form and never leave this state. However, when I look at the happy smiles of the humans and Pokemon, when I see them fulfilling theirs dreams, when I play with theirs children - these thoughts go away and I feel that I’m needed. As long as there is hope in anyone, there’s a reason for me to live and fight Xerneas.”
@blackjackgabbiani, how do you like this? For some reason, I can’t imagine Artist!Jiri without toga and some unfinished artwork on the background.

APPARENTLY IN ANOTHER WORLD HUNTER J GIVES OUT RARE POKEMON
Maybe, but my ficwriter side found it’s fuel, so, now I've got some headcanons for this backwards universe.
Official Pokemon Nation Government is corrupt beyond any imagination, up to the point, when Ranger force openly can act like a terrorists and receive no punishment in any form. The Governmental Leader bears some resemblance to the Richard Hawk from the Metal Wolf Chaos.
Mewtwo here’s managed to escape from the New Island, when the so-called Rangers broke into the laboratory and started killing everyone to cover up this project. He’ve also managed to save some of the researchers, though, unfortunately, not the Dr.Fuji who was almost like a father to the Genetic Pokemon, although all of the scientists were knid to him and he was kind to them in the return. Nowadays, Mewtwo is sided with Pokemon Rescuer J because he wants his revenge on the Rangers.
Lawrence III... Honestly, I don’t know how to put him backwards. Maybe he makes some priceless artworks all by himself and he only wanted to awake Lugia to get the greatest source of inspiration he was pursuing through his entire life (somewhat like the Crystal Onyx episode in the anime).
Zero and Graceland are pretty much just role-swapped.
Pokemon Rescuer J is the one who fights with governmental forces and criminal teams as hard as she can. She rescues abused Pokemon from both Government-funded OCG’s and just cruel trainers, then helps to find a worthy trainer for them or, if they want to, just releases them in the wild. She is also kind with her henchmen, because they are of very few humans she can trust. Overall, she will always protect the crew and crew will always protect her.
Jarvis just wanted to overthrow corrupt monarchic government (almost as corrupt as the Pokemon Nation one), so he was forced to do what he did and he was really not happy about it.
Fortunately for Jarvis, Magearna here originally is an almost-soulless war machine, so she did not feel any pain, but the aerial fortress’s cannon malfunctions still were present because of her IFF system. However, she gets somewhat better after the core (Soul Heart), which was reprogrammed by Jarvis, is installed back in the body. Overall, she is like Johnny 5 from the “Short Circuit”, except it was the Jarvis who made her more than just a machine.
Xerneas is a 1000% psychopathic asshole. He's still a bringer of life... sort of, because most of the time, he gives live to a cancerous growths and horrible diseases. Why kill someone in person, if you can give him immortal uncurable cancer and then enjoy watching his/her slow, horrible and painful demise? If there's some epidemy in the Kalos region, 99,9% of the time it'll be Xerneas's doings. Also, he has an army of sorta zombies, much like the fossils from the fifth movie, which were revived by the Defence Mechanism of Alto-Mare. He is nicknamed "Life, that brings suffering and despair".
Yveltal here is still a deathbringer... sort of. She is the one who opposes Xerneas, which already makes Kalos people like her far more than a Life Pokemon, but she also actually cares about the human and pokemon lives. Long ago, when she first saw, just what kind of a psycho Xerneas is, she has started mastering her Oblivion Wing move and, after some time, she has mastered it to such a point, that she became able to selectively drain life from different cells and, therefore, cure Xerneas-created diseases (including even the normally-immortal cancer), sterilize things (making bio-contaminated items and environments usable again), or, if there is no way to save someone, use this move as an euthanasia. She's also kind to both humans and pokemon, because she understands the true value of life. Each time, when she was starting to revert into the Cocoon form, she was trying her best to go as far away from her allies as possible, so, most of times, she did this on the battlefield, bravely attacking Xerneas's forces, putting the "zombie" pokemon out of theirs demise, de-contaminating a previously bio-contaminated areas and allowing her fellow humans and pokemon to mount a strike. Because of her doings, she is referred as a "Destruction, that brings hope" and is widely worshipped as a saviour of the Kalos people.
Zygarde is not a real asshole - he just a sorta, to quote a TVTropes, "Tautological Templar". He thinks, that all the everything he does is right, because he can't do anything wrong. He is pretty much Greenpeace to the max, except with less knowledge (result of the Xerneas’s experiments with new bioweapons, which Yveltal was not able to stop in time) and too much power, so, when he decides that it is his time to shine, entire Kalos is pretty much destinied to turn into a wasteland for a long time, if humans and/or Yveltal don't stop him. Each time he's finished and sees the results of his doings (desolated wasteland), he'll always blame it on someone other, mostly Yveltal or humans (Xerneas know how to stay out of his sight... most of time).
Blackjack, what do you think about this insanity?
APPARENTLY IN ANOTHER WORLD HUNTER J GIVES OUT RARE POKEMON
So, in this backwards world, Pokemon Rescuer J fights against evil Poacher-Rangers, greedy cruel trainers and corrupt police force? I’d like to read a fic about this!
APPARENTLY IN ANOTHER WORLD HUNTER J GIVES OUT RARE POKEMON
He hovers to move around the ground, and hovering uses less energy than flying.
But don’t you fly to move around…?
If vote for Team Leaders from games, I’d pick Blake Hall - he wants to solve the energy crisis and is actively searching ways to accomplish it. If from the anime ones - none, even if the program of the most qualified one - Jarvis, - is more-or-less clear - he just wants to take over the Azoth Kingdom and rule it from his aerial fortress.
I’d like to see Zero’s or Hunter J’s political programs, though.
Honestly I would vote for literally ANY of the Pokémon bad guys before voting for either Clinton or Trump. Any of them. Even the one who wanted to end all existence, the one who wanted to kill like 99% of the world, the one who intended to enslave all humanity and all animals alike, and the two douchebags who have no idea how earth science works.
Though at this point my frontrunner, as far as Pokémon bad guys goes, is Nobunaga since he’s the only one with real world leadership experience.
I wasn’t talking about this, I was just saying, that, if the demo was made using the assets of the full version (models, sprites, sounds etc.), it is possible, that Game Freak just left some of the full-game assets (sprites, evos etc.) in the demo instead of removing them.
Welp now that Pokemon’s been data mined and I’m mostly on mobile I guess I’m not getting on Tumblr for a month lol.
If the demo was made on the base of a full version, then it was the very same reason why there are beta versions of the Hall of Origin and Sky Pillar in the Gen 4 games along with finished versions and many non-used carryover items - they just didn’t bother/forgot to remove it.
Welp now that Pokemon’s been data mined and I’m mostly on mobile I guess I’m not getting on Tumblr for a month lol.
Blue and steel gray are colors of the Dialga.
All the members of the Aether Foundation wear clothes with a white and gold color scheme. You know what else has a white and gold color scheme? ARCEUS
Evil teams in the past have worn the colors of the legendaries they’re connected to (Team Magma had red and black like Groudon, Team Aqua had blue and white like Kyogre, old Team Plasma had black and white like Zekrom/Reshiram) so this is possibly another clue of what the Aether Foundation is really like.
Sorry about the weapons section, I’ve just went heavily into the world-building.
TungusTech is named for the place, in which theirs headquarters and the first factory resides. They’re located not very far from the Silph Co.’s Tiksi branch and they work together with them, providing Silphs with computer components and such. However, TungusTech’s series of kinetic strike satellite weapon platforms are named “Project Tunguska” for the famous explosion, which’ve happened in this ‘verse (Rayquaza isn’t omnipresent, you know).
Yes, I’ve based Pokemon SWAT team on this we’ve seen in the Generations.
You’ve got this kinda backwards. Corporates (GI and TungusTech) don’t kill those whom they can’t trust, they don’t trust those they can’t kill and who can kill them. To put this into perspective, if some more-or-less-immortal Legendary with enough power to destroy a city tries to propose something to them, corps will analyze every word, seek for the second, third and fourth meanings, secretly target the meeting area with WMDs, rig the corporate negotiator with a lot of a gear which monitors his/her condition non-stop (in the case of a mind-control or something like this) and only then begin negotiations. If everything goes good for them - great, they’ll lower the defence condition slightly and may even throw a party, not counting that they’ll start to trust this Legendary somewhat more, if it does not break it’s vows. If it goes really bad and greatly endangers humanity (like the, theoretically, Arceus going ballistic and starting throwing city-annihilating Judgements left and right, with no one to reason it back into sanity) - “We’ve got nothing to lose!” and a massive WMDs (mostly fusion charges) strike, which’ll end in the desert made of boiling green glass and a really long winter with a decent chance of killing the “unkillable” (overpressure, temperature and ultra-bright light, created by the thermonuclear fusion explosives, are wonderful things). Thankfully, so far, these were only a simulations of the highest-grade doomsday events and no WMDs were used by the corps (let’s not forget about the ancient Kalos WMD - the AZ’s Ultimate Weapon, which was put to use 3000 years ago and which Lysandre plans to activate and fire once more).
By the way, it does not mean that they are as gentle as the governmental Interpol, when it comes to dealing with humans - they will try diplomacy first, but if it fails and there is no time or place for half-measures, they’ll apply force without any apologies or sorrow. If they want to recruit someone into theirs ranks, they’ll try to get him/her with the description of how working for them is better than working for the current employer, they may help them to get to the safe new workplace (like if the new employee comes from some criminal Team, which is in no way happy about losing their’s members), but, if there is no other options, they’ll use blackmail, threats or plain kidnap to get whom they need. If they are to eliminate someone, they’ll use lethal force without additional doubts. “Assassinate a man and get somebody killed” indeed.
Lawrence III never knew about the corporate “If we can’t kill it - don’t trust it” politic, neither did protagonist, although he starts to suspect it. Yes, both of them were (and are, in the case of protagonist) huge targets, but so far, Lawrence III is too valuable to lose (after all, it was real Jiri, who’ve invented the AI, gravity control systems and the source of nearly limitless energy, while the protagonist’ve created the EOS, which made fully automatic light military vehicles (and some non-military units) possible (EOS units are not self-aware, but they can think abstractly to a some degree and adapt to the new environmental conditions almost instantly) and is currently working on some pretty important projects, including highly advanced teleportation system, which works on completely different principles than the conventional one and can teleport anything, if it fits in the teleportation area).
The corps don’t like Team Rocket and are in almost Cold War condition with them, because one of theirs militarised branches was planning to sneakily attack “Skimitar” and bring it down, but, unfortunately for it, TungusTech corporate army command found out it first and authorised “Skimitar” to perform a pre-emptive strike, as a sort of a “We know what you know about us”.
Except for this type of events (when Teams start to actively endanger corps or humanity in general), they do not really care about criminals, because, as they say, “It’s the problem of the government forces, and we do not feel like doing their’s duties for them for free!”, although GI and TungusTech host several PMCs, which can be (and are being) hired to fight criminals. So far, they mostly serve in the most unstable regions, and there were only four full-scale PMC strike operations, three of which took place in the Southern Unova. However, corps have zero tolerance for criminal activity in the corporate territory (corporate enclaves and some cities, which, while still considered national-ruled, are really in the possession of the one of the corporations or theirs transcorporate branches) and will quickly eliminate any criminals.
Corps mostly don’t care about the Team Plasma, but the secret part of theirs transcorporate scientific branch, Biolabs R&D, got interested after researching the data about the Genesect Project (which was gathered by the Corporate Army Espionage Service) and scientists in it are currently trying to convince theirs bosses to implant several agents in this Team, because this project is just too interesting and promising. Considering what information it may grant (revival, cybernetic implants, new type of a directed-energy weapon and such), they’ve already succeeded in this - they just don’t know about it yet.
Biolabs R&D is also responsible for the start of the Cipher’s Shadow Pokemon project, because the data about the proto-Shadow-ifiying process was given to the Team by the disguised corporate agents. Biolabs first acquired this data from the Gardevoir, which’ve willingly stripped herself out of any emotions and such and’ve basically turned into the first Shadow Pokemon, which Cipher, if they knew about her, would’ve called XD-000.
@mgrgfan let’s talk ships. So, we both seem to be in agreement that the Hikoukyuu is for the most part fully automated. Though how it would land…you do propose an interesting idea, but that would suggest either that all landing pads are specifically built for that one ship or that there are other nearly identical ship out there.
She’s a Rule 63 version, not 34! Rule 34 says that there is always a porno about this, and Rule 63 says that there is always gender-swapped version of this character.
Ok since last time almost everyone focused on the bosses, let’s go a bit different. Huggability rating, movie baddies.
For some reason, Zero is the most huggable for me (after all, Newton’ve brutally shuttered Zero’s dreams when he’ve deleted the Megarig Project files, so I want to comfort this poor guy), and, for some very strange reason, Hunter J (highly probable, that the real reason for this is her cool personality and awesome assault ship).
Ok since last time almost everyone focused on the bosses, let’s go a bit different. Huggability rating, movie baddies.
For me, it’s not that much different from the normal trainer’s situation - I still can’t chose between them because they all are so cute and awesome!
I’m back!
Imagine if you were a pokemon trainer as a rich kid… would you perhaps get fancier starters?
To be honest? It’s hard to say, what’ve got me interested in Jirarudan, but his charisma and cool airship definitely have something to do with it.
By the way, when we were discussing warfare and weapons, I’ve forgot to mention, that corporations produce heavy weaponry, deploy aircraft carriers, armed satellites and such as a part of theirs doctrine of a guaranteed retribution, which I’ll explain later. By the way, one of the reasons, why they’ve started to partially replace their’s seaborne aircraft carrier fleets with airborne ones is, to quote a future chapter, “At least you can see what the heck is coming from below and strike back.” (this speaker means agressive water Pokemon, which are well-known for sinking ships, and the fact, that AAC’s have point defence system weapons at all sides, including bottom, to ensure coverage from all directions).
Now about technology - unlike rest of the world, General Industries and Tunguska Technologies (TungusTech) prefer NOT to use Pokemon as much as possible. Where police will order Machamp to break the wall, corporate special task force will use a breaching charge, deploy a heavy assault exoarmor (think of a power armor from the “Starship Troopers” book, only less nukes and flight and more frontal firepower) or even the armorsuit (essentially, small mecha, most of which are slightly shorter than the AMP Suit from the “Avatar” and pack a lot of a firepower along with good melee abilities). Where normally Machokes will be unloading the cargo, corps will use some kind of a power loader, often fully automatic. Where most of people will use Pokemon for one thing or another, corporates will try and replace it with technology.
The true reason for it is because they are afraid of Pokemon, which, unlike the technology, can (and, according to theirs most pessimistic views, will) betray humans, not counting Legendaries and Mythicals, to most of whom humans are nothing more than a toys/pests/mere nuisances. For corporates, any Pokemon (aside from the Magikarp with Everstone and such) is essentially a bomb, which can easily go off at any moment. They also remember history of Pokelantis, when Ho-oh’ve destroyed entire kingdom and murdered thousands of innocent people just because king was an asshole. That’s why they are so happy about fusion nukes - it’s currently their’s best option to be able to strike back at the high-grade Legendaries and, possibly, kill them (bioweapons, which will be able to seriously injure or/and kill high-grade Pokemon (including biological-body Legendaries and Mythicals) without harming humans, are still in the very early stages of development). So far, they’ve never used any fission or fusion weaponry, but they’re always ready to do it, if necessary.
Unlike in the most of the megacorp portrayals, these two corps value humanity’s well-being and survival above everything else, so they have no problems with hiring Pokemon hunters (Hunter J’ve got even recruited into the General Industries agents, not without some help of a blackmail), giving some data to the Teams, so they’ll do dirty job for corps (like secretly providing Cipher with information of the proto-Shadow Pokemon so they’ll, basically, research it for corps (although no one from Cipher, excluding several corporate agents, knows it), while TungusTech and GI are keeping Orre region in the sights of a WMDs in the event of Shadow project going a little too well) and such, if this means gathering more data about the Pokemon weaknesses and, therefore, more abilities for humanity to safely live along with them and to strike back in the event of something going really bad.
The key element in the corporate philosophy, when it comes to Pokemon (especially high-grade Legendary ones), is paranoia. They’ll never really trust anyone they won’t be able to kill and who’ll be able to cause a major harm to humanity (of course, corps value live of theirs employees somewhat more than lives of the non-employees, but any human live for them is, in general, more worthy than those of Pokemon), although they may play along to ensure best outcome for humans, but they’ll always search for the ways to kill those which they can’t kill yet (and be ready to use it as an argument or even backstab with it as soon as it’s available/necessary). However, that also means, that they can more-or-less easily establish normal two-sided dialog with Latis, Shaymins and another non-insanely-powerful Legendaries/Mythicals, because they are not, well, doomsday-powerful, can be (relatively) easily killed and, therefore, aren’t a real threat to humanity.
So far, one of the corporates most dangerous weapons are so-called “retribution vehicles”. They look like some non-armed satellites (most of them are disguised as a telecommunication or surveillance satellites), they work like these satellites, but inside, they house a fusion warhead (ranging from 10Kt to a 6 Mt of TNT equivalent, depending on series). To add to this, all of the corporate satellites have rocket engines to de-orbit if necessary: officially, it is done to be able to prevent Kesslers Syndrome without usage of additional devices (and it is 100% true for all of theirs non-armed and even some armed satellites), but in reality, this was done so the retribution vehicles would be no different externally from the normal satellites and theirs emergency de-orbiting won’t cause any additional suspicions until it’s too late and the warhead goes off, annihilating everything in the decent radius.
For now, the retribution vehicles are part of the “Final Solution” program and are to be used in the event if nuclear WMD is required, but nothing else can be used. They’re not something to use first, they’re only to be used if things are going really bad. No retribution vehicle so far was deorbited, except for the test unit with a dummy warhead, which’ve landed precisely in the designated test area (which was located in the middle of ocean, to prevent suspicions) and have proven that the retribution vehicles are viable solution to the nuclear weapons deployment problem.
I’ve based the retribution vehicles on the real Fractional Orbital Bombardment System, except the retribution vehicles are launched at the normal satellites orbits and stay on them, working as a telcom/surveillance satellites for as long as necessary.
