It is around 18 x 20 inches I think. (The moon area is still a bit wet ‘^^)

Safe to say this is probably my best oil painting yet. I’m very proud of myself!! The sand looks a little wonky but otherwise I am very happy!! And now I have beought to life a new piece of paleowork/spec evo to the world

In the 1800’s, there were over 5 billion Passenger Pigeons in the US.

The last in the wild was shot in 1900. We hunted them to extinction.

The last of the species, Martha, died in Cincinnati Zoo in 1914. She was 29 years old. In her life, the population of her entire species went from billions to none.

Will we ever learn?
