Fuegoleon

"Honey..." you asked through the darkness of the room, while placing your hand onto your husband's chest. There was a faint grunting sound from your side as the bed shifted under you. "Yes... dear," Fue spoke with a heavy, drowsy tone as his eyes fluttered open. "I... think the baby wants some ice cream and crisps," you admitted, having concluded to yourself that your cravings were due to the child you were carrying, since you didn't have such cravings before. But, it was to be expected. "M..hm.." he hummed while sitting up. "Then... we have no choice but to get you some ice cream and crisps," he smiled while manifesting his fire arm, and taking your hand with his left one. "Will you eat with me?" You asked, making him pause for a moment. "Both?" He asked, with the slightest of hints of disbelief, along with the tone of his that just wanted to make sure that he understood correctly. "Yes. Eat with me," you asked, looking at him with wide eyes. There was a brief pause that lingered in the air, after which he breathed out a reply: "Yes dear." The food was eventually delivered to your shared bedroom, and you sat by one of the tables, happily eating your ice cream, onto which you crumbled salty crisps. While Fue, he sat there, looking at you with an adoring smile on his face. "Feeling better?" He asked, the syllables fluttering through the air to you. "Mhm," you nodded. "Why aren't you eating yours?" You had to ask while placing the spoon into your mouth, and keeping it there, as you looked at him, expectantly. "I... wish to make sure that you have enough," he replied, giving you another smile. "Oh come now, there's enough for both," you replied while taking a spoonful of the contents of your bowl, and offering it to him. His eye shifted between the spoon, and you, for a moment, after which he sighed, and opened his mouth, letting you feed him the spoonful. And then another, after having taken a bite yourself. In all honesty, he couldn't have claimed to have enjoyed the dish for the taste, but he did enjoy the content smile on your face. He enjoyed your happiness. And, besides, it could have been worse. You could have had a very different craving.

Nozel

"My bird...?" You asked, while placing your hand onto your husbands arm and shaking him awake. There was a deep breath sounding through the dark room, along with a groggy sound that told you him waking up from a deep sleep. "Yes... love? What is it? Is everything alright?" The fact that he asked, worried, worried so very much for your well being, especially now that you were with child, made a tender, soft smile appear on your face. He really did care. He really was a good man, deep down. "I have a craving," you told him, rather factually, making him sigh before sitting up and swinging his legs over the edge of the bed. "What do you want?" He asked while making his way to the closet to grab his robe. "Salted caramel ice cream and toast," you told him, making him glance at you from over his shoulder. But he didn't say anything. Just looked at you as seconds ticked in the air. One at a time. "Alright," he said with a slow, tired tone, before making his way out of the door to ask for such a ... dish. And eventually, after he had already returned, the dish, too was delivered into the room. Just as you had imagined it. So, you sat down on a chair, and broke off a piece of toast before spreading a chunk of salted caramel ice cream onto it, and popped it into your mouth, with a pleased smile. All the while Nozel looked at you, sitting across the table from you. "How is it?" He asked, meaning nothing more with the question. "Try it," you told him, handing a piece of a bread with ice cream to him. He paused for a moment, looking at you from behind his dishevelled hair, loose locks flowing down the side of his face. "No thank you," he tried, but you still kept the piece of toast there. "No, no, you need to know what I'm eating, right?" He wasn't sure about the logic in that statement. But there was also no point in getting into a discussion about it this late at night. So, instead he just sighed, and took a hold of the bread. You looked at him, hold the bread, waiting for him to place it into his mouth. And he, looked back at you before his eyelids fell in a slow blink, after which he placed the piece into his mouth and ate it. He breathed out, in a slight defeat, having accepted the fact that you'd give him more pieces. Which... would be alright. This was something that came with pregnancy. And he wanted to be there for you, living this through with you. After all, you were the best thing to have happened to him.

Julius

"Juu-juu?" You cooed through the darkness, snuggling to his side. There was an individual sound of a snore that sounded through the room, before he jolted ever so slightly in place. "Yes, dove?" The nickname, which he had given you, because of the mere act of cooing out the nickname for him, made the corners of your lips tug up. "I'm ... a bit hungry," you admitted, but the slight hesitance in your tone told him that it wasn't hunger per se, but more a craving. You had had the strangest of cravings lately, but he embraced all of them with intrigue and anticipation, because this was a journey, your pregnancy, and he wanted to be there for all of it. "What would you like?" He asked, rolling around on the bed to face you, while running his fingers up and down your arm. "Chocolate and avocadoes," you replied with a serious face, and a tone to match. And usually, when you told him your craving, he just smiled, but this time there was a passing shadow of surprise on his face, before he chuckled, and gave a kiss onto your forehead. "Give me a second," he said, before appearing seated on your side of the bed with two bowls in hand; in one of which there was chocolate, and avocados in the second one. You sat up, and took a piece from both bowls, placing them together into your mouth, munching them away with a content smile. And he... he watched you, with a wide smile on his face; half-lidded eyes and radiating nothing but love and affection. "Can I try?" He asked, making you pause, before furiously nodding and offering the pieces of avocado and chocolate in your hands to him. He opened his mouth, so that you might pop them in, and begun chewing. "It's good, right?" You asked while popping more into your mouth. And he... he didn't have the heart to tell you that he found the combination horrid, but he wouldn't show it. Instead, he happily sat there, letting you enjoy the night... treat. Because your happiness was his happiness.

Really though, Shanks’ favorite kind of sweets would absolutely be alcohol infused chocolate

Those expensive ones with rum in them

He could eat every one of them on his own

It’s the perfect gift for him other than actual alcohol itself

He’ll hide it from the rest of his crew because he does not want to share

If he really likes you though, he might sneak you one

Doflamingo

Doffy is a connoisseur of sweets

He’s tried everything and will continue to, since he gets whatever he wants, whenever

But he’s got a soft spot for some fresh, light, fluffy, strawberry shortcake

Not too much icing, golden cake, it’s his favorite treat

Of course he’s not going to share- that may be an entire cake, but it’s his and even if he likes you, you’re not getting any. You’ll have to make your own

Getting him a surprise slice will turn any sour mood the other way around, so use that to your advantage

Ace

Two words: Cinnamon hearts

Ace loves anything cinnamon. The spice just gets him 

Plus, gifting him little hearts will make his own heart throb

He’ll share with anyone- cinnamon hearts are the type of candy you have to share- at least, he thinks so

They’re also not that popular, so he doesn’t need to worry much about losing much of his candy

If you’ve recently gifted him any, he’ll taste like cinnamon hearts when you kiss him

Koby

Koby is a big fan of all things minty, so peppermint candies would be his favorite

It’s practical, freshens his breath while also giving him a sweet treat

Also, peppermint is a great tool against nausea- so when he’s feeling sickly and anxious at work, he can just pop one and continue on his day

If he’s got the peppermint drops that usually come individually wrapped, he’ll share with anyone who asks for one. Usually Helmeppo, sometimes Garp.

Otherwise he’ll be gathering up candy canes as much as he can and stashing them away in his room just in case he wants a treat so if you gift him some, he’d be over the moon about it

He also tastes like his chosen candy if you kiss him

Smoker

Smoker isn’t one for sweet treats, they’re just too much for him

He likes his coffee and things that are more bitter or savory

If he were to pick something though, he would love some dark chocolate covered almonds

The chocolate isn’t too much since it’s also got the almonds in it, nuts are a good source of protein, and they’re easy to find as he’s travelling on Marine business

He’s not one to share with just anyone. He’ll give some to you with no problem or he’ll give some to Tashigi, and that’s about it.

Gifting him a bag would make him smile, and he would thank you while insisting you really didn’t need to spoil him

marinating on the idea of you and roronoa zoro being at each other’s throats every single day. bickering, insults, eye rolls. he’s too “bullheaded” and you’re too “stubborn” — two sides of the same coin.

drunk!zoro and you, off at some table talking about the finer points of swordsmanship — you have no fucking idea what he’s talking about, you can’t even see straight but he’s smiling and it’s cute— and the others are like ??????? are they gonna kill each other or what ??????

drunk!zoro’s mask of irritation is gone because he doesn’t really hate you — he’s just got no fuckin’ idea what that tight feeling in his chest is when you’re around. heartburn? indigestion? gas? a crush?????? pffft, please. what is he, twelve?

drunk!zoro caving and agreeing to join in on one song (holds his finger up, wags it in your face — “one. only one.”) because you practically beg on your hands and knees for him to join you and the others while spouting some slurred babble about “i love our family” and the our really gets to him.

drunk!zoro and you screaming the words to some stupid shanty in each other’s faces in the middle of the tavern while the others are like………. what the fuck is going on, why are they smiling, are they flirting

drunk!zoro and you, arm in arm, as you both are slapped with the reality of drinking too much. neither of you can see straight, can’t walk straight. it’s the blind leading the blind out here, and you’re both teetering on the sidewalk, laughing, heading back to port.

and then, the next morning, it’s like none of it ever happened. yelling and fighting on the deck and all of it done with a hangover — as if zoro hadn’t passed out at the foot of your bed the night before like a loyal guard dog and you hadn’t tucked him in.

Room for Two?

Summary: It's your night to keep watch up in the crows nest, and you're missing a certain swordsman. Luckily, Zoro misses you too.

Pairing: OPLA!Zoro Roronoa x F!Reader

A/N: Another fluff piece for my 'This is the Beginning' series! I had a dream about this scenario so I knew I had to write it, lol. Hope you enjoy!

It's a strangely quiet night on the Going Merry.

It seemed the rest of your crew was tired from the adventures of the day and had gone to bed earlier than normal. Though it was well past sun down when everyone had fallen asleep, it was still earlier than normal.

You, however, were still wide awake. It was your night to keep watch, so sat up in the crows nest, you were bundled up in a warm blanket to fight the night chill and staring up at the stars dancing across the nights sky. You'd ask Sanji to prepare you some coffee and food for the night, knowing it'd be the only thing that would keep you awake and the cook hadn't hesitated to oblidge.

There was something serene about being up at the crows nest, in the middle of the night, when everyone else was asleep. You were forever grateful for the day Luffy, Zoro and Nami had rescued you from Buggy's crew but the crew, now with two more people, were definitely a rowdy bunch.

There wasn't often a moment of quiet or calm on the Going Merry. You wouldn't trade that for anything. You relished in the constant that was the Strawhat Crew and it held the loneliness you've felt your entire life at bay.

But, nights like these, when you knew that come morning everything would return to normal, the peace was nice. Nice in the way that you got to experience it rather then be asleep. Watch nights were long, often spent trying to fight sleep and boredom, but there was something serene about them all the same.

Though, you guessed, if there was one complaint, it would be you wished there was a certain green-haired swordsman to keep you company.

You kept that wish to yourself, knowing it would be incredibly selfish of you to tear his sleep away from him because you wanted more alone time with him. He hadn't ever asked that of you on his nights--truthfully, you didn't know if he even returned the same wish.

And honestly, most nights, you got by on your own fine.

It was harder some nights, though.

Inhaling sharply, you pull your blanket tighter around yourself, trying to get as comfortable as you could in the cramped space that was the crows nest. You're in the midst of fluffling the pillow you were using as a seat when you hear a noise.

It gives you pause, body stilling, as you stop to listen for more.

Sure enough, a second later, another thud follows. And then another. It continues, until the noise gets close enough you can discern it as footsteps.

Frowning, you sit up, poking your head over the edge of the crows nest and glance down, only to see Zoro staring up at you. Relief that it was an attack of any sorts, your face twists in confusion at the sight of him.

"Zoro?" You call in a hushed yell, trying to be careful not to wake up at the others. "What're you doing up?"

Zoro, in typical Zoro fashion, chooses not to answer you. Instead, he calls up; "make room. I'm heading up." And doesn't leave any room for argument as he begins to climb up the ladder.

Baffled, you shuffle away from the entrance, moving to make what little room there is for him. It takes Zoro no more than a minute to make it to the top of the crows nest, his head popping up first before he slides into the spot next to you.

Letting the door fall shut, Zoro settles back against the crows nest.

You continue to stare at him.

"What?" He asks.

You huff, "what're you doing here? More importantly, why are you awake?"

Zoro shrugs, crossing his arms over his chest. "I couldn't sleep."

"I highly doubt that," you snort. Zoro? Not able to sleep? The day that happened, you'd think you were dreaming.

Letting out a small chuckle, Zoro shakes his head. "Didn't like you being up here alone." He admits, voice low as he meets your gaze. "So I came to keep you company."

Heart fluttering at his words, your face softens. "This isn't my first time keeping watch, Zoro."

"I know," he nods. "Still, we stopped for the night earlier than we normally do. And you looked disappointed when everyone went off."

A smile curls onto your lips at his concern. Even if he won't outright say it, the meaning behind Zoro's words is obvious enough. You hadn't even known he'd seen you make that face.

So, heart warm at his care for you, you choose to not argue anymore. Zoro didn't do anything he didn't want to do, and you'd just been thinking about how much you missed your swordsman.

You were going to take advantage of the fact he was here.

Shifting, you move so you're next to him, slipping your hands into his as he watches you with curiosity. He lets you move his arm, settling it around your shoulders and, having caught on to what you wanted, he tucks you into his side. You drape the blanket around the both of you, letting your head fall against his chest.

"You can still sleep, Zoro," you mumble, staring up at the sky. "I'm happy just having you here."

"Nah," he breathes, squeezing your shoulder. "I wanna spend this time with you awake."
