Why You Should Listen To Set It Off

Okay so I made one for Yungblud, but SIO (From left to right: Dan Clermont, Zach Dewall, Cody Carson, and Maxx Danziger) is so underappreciated here I felt like I had to make one for them, especially with the new album coming out soon. SO let’s talk about possibly the Best boys,, 

Their music is so fucking,,, Big. Like idk how else to describe it- you turn it on any song (except for the occasional ballad) and you’re like,,, DAMN THATS A LOT WHAT JUST HAPPENED. So much composition and production goes into every song they make and there’s so much to pick out about every piece, it’s incredible.

On that note, a lot of the songs (i.e. Plastic Promises) have these cool swing sections that are just…. fuck,,, to be fair this is more of a personal opinion thing but tbh I’d listen to them just for that,

They’ve never really held themselves to a specific genre, so there’s pretty much an album in their repertoire for most tastes.

Ya like that classic edgy 2000′s emo sound with a taste of hard rock and horns mixed in? Horrible Kids. 

Want something even bigger and more theatric, with full-on horn and string sections and probably the angriest lyrics you’ve heard in a while? Cinematics. 

You want something cool and poppy that will just make you pumped up or get you to smile? Upside Down. 

You want something that’s sort of in between Cinematics and Upside Down? Duality. They got you covered

Their lyrics are always so real. Cody writes from the heart, and he’s so poetic and evocative, the songs always communicate exactly the emotions they’re supposed to, whether it’s grief and rage or hope and excitement, they just make you Feel Shit

Honestly, if you can handle something really sad, listen to Dad’s Song. Cody wrote it for his father who passed away from cancer, after three years of perfecting it. It’s so heartfelt and tragic and it made me cry the first time I heard it. 

Seriously. There’s a part where the melody switches to the tune of Danny Boy, because his dad used to sing that to him all the time. It’s fuckin,, heavy

ANYWAYS, AWAY FROM DEPRESSING SHIT,

They’re also genuinely such cool guys???

They spend so much time interacting and retweeting fanart and all other kinds of stuff

They’re also,,, the biggest fuckin nerds

Cody and Dan met in high school band, Zach is Obsessed with Harry Potter, and Maxx is super into photography but mostly just takes pictures of his cat (Princess Pistol Marie Danziger) with his nice camera

They also have an Active Youtube Channel where they do like,,, actual youtube stuff. Challenges, Q&A’s, PO box vids, sketches, vlogs- the whole deal. And dw, they’re actually REALLY funny, and they give you a really cool way to get to know the guys more

(They haven’t been as active lately because most of them don’t live together anymore and they’ve been working on stuff, but there’s lots of old content to catch up on and they’ll def make more at some point)

They’re releasing a new album called Midnight in February so you can hop on the train before it gets to the station ;)

this shit is disgusting, It isn’t your character, therefore you have no right to decide on whats “right” and whats “wrong” about the character based on you personal opinion. Its as simple as that. To bash on others because of their fictional character that they created is simply wrong. If you don’t like a character, instead of hating on the creator, how about you create your own characters for once, and then apply what you believe is “right” onto that character.
