One. Your art as always so crunchy and soft, but fluffy. Like creme and yellow or something. Or Turkish pistachio cake(try it with mint tea, it's amazingššāŗļø)
Two. Tomi my love, you are so beautiful and that is a blessing in itself(I imagine Douma calling it that, only reason to use it now huh?). Also, I see the 'first interaction, then falling for someone trope years later' your doing *squints eyes*
Three. I find it interesting that Enmu has a hard time bonding with kid than Douma. Reminds me of post partum depression but kinda switched(My dad didn't bond with me quickly as a baby or toddler, so I kinda get it.)
Four. I notice whenever I look for Tomi eyes they are harder to find in your black and white sketches. When I think it's their eyes, I realized that is its eye-lid. Then thought of a cool thing: if their eyes glowed, it could be seen beneath the lid. Kinda like a creepy but mystical vibe, a new way to lure in prey or something(fish like shiny light)
Tldr: great art *nom and gives fish to Tomi and therapy gift card to Enmu and Doumu.*(Why did I proof read this 6 times to be perfect??)
(One) That sounds delicious. I will be trying it as soon as possible.
(Two) I should have known something was cooking when you went through all my Tomi posts š /pos
Also, with Shuumei and Tomi, while I wasn't really going in with a trope in mind, it definitely falls into it. I just imagined that a kid with no other social bonds would attach pretty quickly to whoever showed them any form of affection. Tomi never had friends or a social circle, so Shuumei is quite literally its entire world beyond its parents. If Shuumei wasn't a nicer person than they are, Tomi would be exploited very easily. That isn't to say what Tomi does struggle with in relation to Shuumei isn't difficult though. When your love interest's parents are former Hashira, you can't expect their favor. No matter how many years its been since the demon war ended.
(Three) There's a reason that Enmu bonded with Douma but not Tomi. Enmu is an inherently selfish and unempathetic person. He didn't even like Douma when he first met him, he was just using him to take over his rank. He didn't feel remorse until he realized that Douma was genuinely on his side and that Douma was aware that Enmu was using him, he just didn't care because he was desperate for the company. Douma proved many times that he was useful and reliable. He treated Enmu like he was worth being alive, even though Enmu believed the opposite. The bond that Douma earned with Enmu is one a baby never earned. Even if it is his and Douma's baby. It doesn't serve him in any way beyond the fact Tomi's birth meant Douma focused less on his depressive spiral and gave him something to live for. Very honestly, when Tomi was born, he could only conceptualize it as a tool for keeping Douma happy and alive. But he didn't want to be like that when he thought of his own mother who treated his own birth like a tool to keep his father with her (and it didn't even work). So he starts to put in the effort, but still really struggles to emotionally bond with Tomi. He just really doesn't know how to, and it makes him feel constantly inferior that Douma bonded with Tomi effortlessly when Enmu couldn't. It felt like a piece of him was broken and that whatever instinctive drive a parent was supposed to have was missing inside him. He doesn't understand his relationship to Tomi as a bond until Tomi starts developing an easily detectable personality, since Tomi stops being a lump of meat in his eyes and starts being a person he can engage with and understand.
(Four) That's interesting! Tomi actually does have light reflective eyes, though it's not quite the same as what you're thinking of. See this post.
Fun fact, Tomi's body (while it can physically eat non human meats and keep them down) can only minimally process animal meats. That is why they're so twiggy. They basically have the demon version if pica. It doesn't like how it feels to eat human meat, and often felt sick or uncomfortable as a result. So it switches to animal meats to try and find something that didn't sit so roughly in the gut. They found it but it's not nutritionally dense for a demon to eat animal meats.
Chapter 36
is it normal to be in pain after writing? More specifically your face? Just wanna make sure of something.
now that trump has tiktok, twitter, facebook and insta in his pocket, get ready for a massive wave of internet censorship. one of trump's greatest weapons has always been misinformation; it's going to become harder and harder to spread facts and criticism going forward. posts that aren't made invisible will be magically ignored by the algorithm. dissidents will have their accounts deleted and voices erased.
this is a suppression tactic. this is another stage of fascism.
got a major pest problem this year actually
TODAY, August 12, 2024, The Animation Guild begins negotiations with the AMPTP to win a new contract for animation. This is a huge fight with severe stakes for the future of the Animation Industry in the US, and the guild needs your support!
TAG is fighting, Right Now, to stop exploitative practices that are weaponized against animation professionals across the globe, and working hard to ensure this industry has a future here in the states.
If you are a fan of animation, whether it's major or independent studios, eastern or western, tv or movies, we need you to get LOUD in support of The Animation Guild. The crews who work so hard to bring these works to life are struggling to pay their bills, if they can find work at all, while studio CEOs are getting multi-million dollar raises to cancel projects and gut streaming libraries.
We can win this fight, but we need public outcry and support. If you work in animation, if you've ever dreamed of working in animation, or if you just love animation, please stand with TAG and support the union effort to keep animation a viable career and a valuable medium!

As well as countless of others from the AI generator community. Just talking about how "inaccessible art" is, I decided why not show how wrong these guys are while also helping anyone who actually wants to learn.

Second part BOOKS, I have collected some books that have helped me and might help others.
šHere is my list:
The "how to draw manga" series produced by Graphic-sha. These are for manga artist but they give great advice and information.
"Creating characters with personality" by Tom Bancroft. A great book that can help not just people who draw cartoons but also realistic ones. As it helps you with facial ques and how to make a character interesting.
"Albinus on anatomy" by Robert Beverly Hale and Terence Coyle. Great book to help someone learn basic anatomy.
"Artistic Anatomy" by Dr. Paul Richer and Robert Beverly Hale. A good book if you want to go further in-depth with anatomy.
"Directing the story" by Francis Glebas. A good book if you want to Story board or make comics.
"Animal Anatomy for Artists" by Eliot Goldfinger. A good book for if you want to draw animals or creatures.
"Constructive Anatomy: with almost 500 illustrations" by George B. Bridgman. A great book to help you block out shadows in your figures and see them in a more 3 diamantine way.
"Dynamic Anatomy: Revised and expand" by Burne Hogarth. A book that shows how to block out shapes and easily understand what you are looking out. When it comes to human subjects.
"An Atlas of animal anatomy for artist" by W. Ellenberger and H. Dittrich and H. Baum. This is another good one for people who want to draw animals or creatures.
Etherington Brothers, they make books and have a free blog with art tips.
As for Supplies, I recommend starting out cheap, buying Pencils and art paper at dollar tree or 5 below. For digital art, I recommend not starting with a screen art drawing tablet as they are more expensive.
For the Best art Tablet I recommend either Xp-pen, Bamboo or Huion. Some can range from about 40$ to the thousands.
š»As for art programs here is a list of Free to pay.
Clip Studio paint ( you can choose to pay once or sub and get updates)
Procreate ( pay once for $9.99)
Blender (for 3D modules/sculpting, ect Free)
PaintTool SAI (pay but has a 31 day free trail)
Krita (Free)
mypaint (free)
FireAlpaca (free)
Libresprite (free, for pixel art)
Those are the ones I can recall.
So do with this information as you will but as you can tell there are ways to learn how to become an artist, without breaking the bank. The only thing that might be stopping YOU from using any of these things, is YOU.
I have made time to learn to draw and many artist have too. Either in-between working two jobs or taking care of your family and a job or regular school and chores. YOU just have to take the time or use some time management, it really doesn't take long to practice for like an hour or less. YOU also don't have to do it every day, just once or three times a week is fine.
Hope this was helpful and have a great day.

Putting this as a meme so maybe y'all will actually read it.
Held: Under our constitutional structure of separated powers, the nature of Presidential power entitles a former President to absolute immunity from criminal prosecution for actions within his conclusive and preclusive constitutional authority. And he is entitled to at least presumptive immunity from prosecution for all his official acts. There is no immunity for unofficial acts.
And this is why we cannot let Trump win another term: he now has complete immunity for any acts he "officially" performs as president. You thought he was bad before? Now he will have zero fear. He will do whatever he wants. And what he wants is outlined in Project 2025.
Trump is probably going to remove the TikTok ban shortly after his inauguration and secure a chunk of the youth vote.
keep up the good work you guys inshallah the stress gets to be too much :)
