Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu

Yep, you heard me. Ninjago. A show about a group of ninjas trying to keep everything in peace in which they can go from fighting talking snakes to flying on the air with a ship without making it “too complex” or “too rushed”. Everything runs smoothly as heckity heck and the show always makes sure to explain all the questions you might have.

But what will Ninjago teach you or offer to you, you might be wondering.

WELL, GOOD THING I’VE SUMMED UP SOME OF THE THINGS YOU’LL FIND. Obviously, this isn’t everything but I figured I should note some of the unique things the show offers.

Life lessons. As stupid as it may sound, Ninjago’s messages are one of the most powerful ones ever seen in (kids’) shows. While Ninjago is labeled as a kids’ show, its message are far from just that. Ninjago really shows a side of life that is forgotten nowadays. One of the most important ones in my opinion is that life won’t always go your way but as long as you don’t give up, you will make it through. If you can’t shape your environment, shape yourself.

The plot. No matter what happens, Ninjago’s plot always stays true to its universe. As I mentioned before, there can be a trillion things on screen but they blend in so nicely with each other that it never feels chaotic or too much. The way the story develops just feels natural. I could not ask for a better plot execution.

The characters. Just like the plot, the characters always stay true to their universe. And the best part about them? They have character development. Instead of your everyday cartoon where each character stays the same at each episode (mainly because the episodes do not follow a storyline), Ninjago’s characters develop with the plot. The characters feel alive, they really do. They are lovable, enjoyable, funny and interesting and always have something new to offer.

The voice acting. Since we are talking about how characters come to life, let’s talk voice acting! I can only speak for the English version of the series but the voice acting in Ninjago is TOP. Every character has their own unique suiting voice. The voice actors are so talented and they give their all with each performance. They certainly get into their characters’ personalities, always giving an outstanding performance. I could just have a Ninjago episode playing at another tab just to hear the voices. They are that good.

It actually shows that girl power is a thing? Not even in an “implied” way. On one of the seasons, one of the ninja’s sister (who is also a main protagonist), Nya, has to escape society’s labels about her (being sterotyped because she is the ‘only girl of the team’, being ‘forced’, in a way, to choose between two of her teamates to date because she is a girl) And Nya really fights that. She learns how to shape her own reality and how to be herself, without letting anyone force her into choosing something. Nya is a true example of a strong and independed personality.

The romance. I was hesitant about making this a reason to watch Ninjago. Honestly, whether you are in for ships or not, you should definetely watch it anyway but let me tell you… The ships in the series. They just feel real. They are not rushed, they have development, they show many different sides of romantic love (and the subject is not even the main focus of the series), how a healthy relationship is built and sometimes when it is time to stop one. The soundtrack. Ninjago has one of the most brilliant OST I have ever seen in a series. The main guys of the OST are Jay Vincent and Micheal Kramer and the ‘songs’ songs are made by The Fold. Never have I seen a soundtrack so fitting to a series. Each scene is really brought to life with all those magnificent tunes. In fact, they are so good, that I listen to them when I write my fanfics! They help me focus a lot.

The animation. Ninjago is a LEGO series, which means the characters are, well, LEGOs. However, don’t let that discourage you from watching the series. The animation is so smooth, beautiful, detailed and just stunning to look at. I’ve been a fan of Ninjago ever since I was 6 and the fact that the characters on screen are LEGOs has never bothered me. There is only so much I can show without spoiling anything so have a scene from the first season’s intro!

Conclusion? Ninjago is on point and your soul needs it.

Okay but, in all seriousness, please consider getting into Ninjago. The creators work so hard on it (not to mention they interact with the fanbase, taking into consideration their views and opinion on the plot) that are not to disappoint. As of now, Ninjago currently has 7 seasons out, two origin episodes that take place before the first season (I recommend watching those two first), and a movie special that takes place after the 6th season. There is an upcoming 8th season and as far as we are concerned at the moment, season 9th is possibly the last one.

I’d like to finish off by saying that Ninjago is a series that really shaped the way I looked at the world. Ever since I was little, I was exposed to the show and it made me appreciate things that I would not have appreciated otherwise. I recommend it more than anything. Watch it for yourself, watch it with your kid, family friends… It’s just a very important show that deserves far more love than what it currently has. I really hope you enjoy Ninjago just as much as we, the fanbase, do!

This song is pretty obvious as to why it belongs to Bakugou, it is dedicated to him. I think this song was actually pretty well done, and represents him well enough without going too deep. It keeps a steady flow of his thought process, for at the very least the first and second season.

I believe this song shows how much he’s willing to win and fight. He wants all of his opponents to give it their all when fighting him, and he in return he will give it his all. Besides his… slight ego… he does actually practise and train so much in order to maintain a great body daaamn status of combat skills. Or hero skills in general.

I know, I know. You can kill me later for adding this song, I need to finish my tea first. But come on, did anyone see this song popping up here? Like the past few songs this relates back to his personality and thought process. I mean Bakugou might even direct this song towards Midoriya specifically, other classmates, villains and etc. By showing that he will beat them, and he is never done fighting to succeed.

We’re getting a bit deeper into his story now. This song involves locking everyone out, and some other deeper and angsty memos. This can relate to Bakugou getting captured, or about people turning against him and not believing in him, and things such as this. Just a more inside look to how he views and reacts to what’s happening to him. Overall I think this is a really good song as well, it’s got a good flow and beat.

I thinks this song can include of how he reacts to Midoriya suddenly having a quirk. Or even Midoriya surpassing him in ways, which he doesn’t like. This can also include anything that he believes is his fault, such as All Might’s retirement and his capture. Perhaps the lyrics might not fit with him well enough, but I just think the meaning behind the song does.

I’ve seen a few AMVs with this song and him included. In my opinion this shows how he’s trying to make it up to what he thinks he’s done wrong. Such as him believing he’s the cause All Might’s retirement poor boi don’t cry, getting captured, people thinking he’s a bit of a villain and just destructive and etc. Along with his beautiful character development!

Okay, so I chose this song for a few reasons. For one this song is pretty explicit with the swearing, and perhaps shows a slightly possessive Bakugou side to the one he loves and trying to show how much he loves them. Along with how his s/o needs to know that they are his, and his alone. Which of course he also knows he belongs to his s/o too, and them alone.

Another song for his s/o, showing the comparison between them and again, how much he truely loves them. If your lucky to steal Bakugou’s heart, and he’s lucky to steal yours, get ready for an interesting relationship. He may not be great with words, but he knows how to treat his s/o properly when needed to. Bakugou might not say it, but he adores and admires his s/o greatly. They are Bakugou’s true and beautiful weakness to making him a soft boi.

This song is dedicated to Bakugou from his s/o. Since he is pretty feisty, but damn does he make just about everyone stare. I mean he may be loud and the king of explosions, but from what I’ve witnessed, most of the fandom find Bakugo to be hot in more than one way.

Ninjago Kailor fluff Headcanon

I think it is kind of like to make their relationship official or something like that. I do not think it’s an actual marriage or else Kai wouldn’t help Jay.

Characters said the words “husband” and “wife” before, so unless this is a censorship thing because they’re teenagers or a weird Ninjago culture thing, I think this may not quite be Jay proposing to Nya. 

Instead, perhaps this is more like Jay asking Nya to “go steady” with him. Or it’s like a promise ring thing. Basically promising each other that someday they’ll be married. Not engagement, just.. “pre-engagement”. They’re engaging to become engaged. At some point in the future.

They’re teenagers so there can never really be a scene of them proposing, so this is a compromise.

Also I just realized something awkward, they’re LEGO and don’t have fingers and can’t wear rings

Hoenstly, if there isn’t more Kailor in S9, imma flip.

This ship isn’t toxic or abusive at all. Sure, there was Skylor lying to Kai in S4 but that wasn’t her fault. She had to do it because her father forced her too. 

I know everyone prefers AmberPhemnix and any shipds between Kai and the rest of the team but ffs just give me more Kailor.

There isn’t shit about it in the fandom cause everyone ships them with someone else, and there wasn’t shit in the show. Sure, there was SOME in S4, but they just can’t end it there! And we didn’t even get to see that conversation between them in S7!

Let them flirt with each other, let ehm be excited that theyre working together again, let Nya tease the fuck out of them, just give me more Kailor

The writers focused too much on Jaya and Pixane, not that that’s a bad thing. If they put a little more effort into Kailor, it could 100% work. 

I just want more Kailor cause there isn’t enough of it

Come at me all you want with “but skylor x” and “but kai is x” shit, it isn’t gonna change my mind. 

It isn’t a bad or toxic ship, it just need a little work on it.
