I have a feeling no one is gonna care about this but I often think about the reason why Rotti was so dead set on having Blind Mag’s eyes repossessed in Repo.

I’ve noticed that whenever fanfictions cover Mag’s repossession they often claim it’s because she can’t pay off the debt for her eyes, which makes sense because that the reason why most people in repo get their organs repossessed and it lines up with the original stage play reasoning for her getting her eyes repossessed.

However, from what I’ve seen of the little bit of media about the original stage play, Mag is also projected to be an independent traveling artist who, despite being super popular, is still struggling financially due to not making that much money from her gigs.

This is very different from the Mag we get in the movie who is backed by the largest corporation on earth and has gone on world tours. Now I’m not saying that it’s not possible for Mag to still be struggling financially, I wouldn’t put it past Rotti to steal not only her freedom but also her money.

However I will say it’s more likely that Rotti was dead set on repossessing Mag’s eyes as a form of control over her rather than for monetary purposes.

Well, I-I got to the hospital a few hours ago.

Val apparently had a h-huge freak out in the middle of the night. The fucking doctors won’t give them their damn m-meds.

M-Morty is here with me too, h- UrrGhh-he was worried about Val. Jesus fucking Christ.. The crash wasn’t even that terrible but they look like they’re in so much pain. I know Morty cares about V-Val, honestly it sucks seeing how bad Morty feels right now.

i also know how val cares about morty, he’s like their own son.

Any-Anyway.. Val’s asleep right now. Don’t wanna wake them up.
