The Only Thing That Keeps Me Wishing On A Wishing Star by nevergracie
Summary: Peter Parker leads a complicated life: renowned thief, Queens' vigilante, and brother of Morgan. Not to mention his fake living situation, with an uncle who does not nor has ever existed. And those Avengers, invested in both Spider-Man and Peter. Gosh, they need to mind their own.

(Note to my followers: this is the one where peter has a gun)
i’m so appreciative to suzanne for reframing the rebellion from the original trilogy as a “they saw their moment and took it” type situation and showing us that they’ve been trying, over and over, with so many failed attempts, to break the arena and incite a rebellion for decades. in this current political climate never giving up hope is so essential. haymitch wasn’t the first nor the last, and they kept going even when it seemed completely futile, and that’s what counts, and what ultimately saves them all.
btw gwen had to look at peter b parker and know that was the only way she could ever see her peter parker grown up
To Snow, Lucy Gray is forever the same 16-year-old girl who ~betrayed~ him, and she haunts him accordingly. But Lenore Dove ages and grows gray alongside Haymitch, like she’s walking next to him through the years instead of lying in her grave. If you even care.
and they are
when i have trig homework but im watching movies and writing fanfic instead
they’re neighbors okay!!
sotr wasn’t nearly as nuanced as the other books, but i feel like that was intentional. it was meant for a broader audience, one who may not be able to pick up on the subtle meanings and hauntings. it was a very centralized point, unlike the others which explored a variety of topics, because collins didn’t want a single reader to miss it. in thg, everyone focused on gale vs peeta. in tbosas, everyone focused on coriolanus. she wanted to avoid this cycle of ignoring the point in favor of the romantic relationships or “hot” characters
The hero’s identity was accidentally revealed, but it turns out they are moderately poor, have no friends or family, and their civilian life is frankly…sad.
Whenever Haymitch insulted Effie's outfits during the main triology, it wasn't his fault, he was being possesed by Maysilee's ghost
