My friend got me hooked on DC and this is the result lol

This took me 33.5 hours on IbisPaint X, if the timing is a bit off it’s because ibis doesn’t have audio yet

what kind of clay do you use?

I use FIMO professional oven bake clay! Be warned that it’s quite soft and you need to bake the larger things before adding detail or it’ll all smush together. Here’s the Amazon link to what I bought :)

@brewingcoffi I'll get to the second part of your comment later, that one feels more like a full piece plus another mini comic so it'll definitely take some time.

Quartermaster and Ford are talking about the multiverse and their experiences with the unnatural. Both are most certainly leaving out big pieces of personal information while doing so.

Stan is weary about Harrison due to his likeness to Bill Cipher, but not outright hostile. He is also a lot more subtle than the rest of his family about his mistrust when actually interacting with Harrison. (Harrison can't hear what they're saying in this btw)

I'll have to draw a "first meeting" thing later, gotta decide if I want to do one big one or a few separate ones that focus more on each character.

The way I'm doing this au so far is just bits and pieces all over the timeline. I might do a full linear comic at some later point in time but this is a lot more fun haha (gotta chase the happy chemicals)

Speaking of timelines, this au takes place in the first summer of Camp Camp (so no season 5) and a year after Gravity Falls so Dipper and Mabel are 13, almost 14. The Pines probably come in sometime after season one of Camp Camp? I need to rewatch both shows and take notes to be sure on the exact timeline.

Oh, also my friend wanted me to mention that I draw all my things on my phone? And that I sometimes draw on my laptop with a mouse on Animal Jam (haven't posted any of that on here tho). They think it's insane that I do that and that I only somewhat recently switched to using a pen instead of my finger. It is a lot easier and quicker with a pen tbh

Sharing some building and area layouts I made to help other artists create backgrounds and storyboards for the Sleepy Peak region!

The mess hall’s weird dimensions were used as a visual joke for some shots. One of my favorite mistakes that became canon was the windows on the inside wall of the messhall were real and could open to the outside. EVEN THOUGH the QM’s store should have blocked that wall. The Team Team was pretty sure the QM is a time lord. The store is probably his tardis.

The spooky island mansion had rooms we never saw but only talked about conceptually 😂 I wish we could’ve had some more opportunities to see more of Camp Camp’s strange landmarks. You can’t spell explore without LORE. 👀✨

Finally had the spoons to do another Camp Camp x Gravity Falls drawing! Some bits were kept messy to maintain motivation to finish lol

…I really need to sit down and watch a video on how to do shading and rendering instead of just winging it

(Bipper’s arm is a bit off but I didn’t feel like searching for a reference ;-;)

Changed the way I did both of their hair and I like it a lot more than the first go around, looks more like canon (especially Dipper/Bipper’s)

Lil’ update on the Harrison figure

I promise it looks better in person

Haven’t worked on it much more cause I’m having difficulty with the clay being too soft to make the arms look right on the body.

I think I’ll have to add holes in the joint areas then bake the body to do the arms and legs. Scary stuff since I would have to restart the body if it ends up messing up

This has caused me to procrastinate finishing it :’)

Another issue with the clay is that it fucking 𝘮𝘦𝘭𝘵𝘴 both thin plastics and the varnish off of tables if it sits there long enough 😀

So that’s fun. Luckily it doesn’t effect parchment paper
