The recent war has turned our lives upside down 💔. Our area, infrastructure, and entire community were destroyed 🥲. We lost many family members, most dearly my eldest and youngest aunts, along with their children and grandchildren, in an airstrike at the same time and place. They were innocent civilians with no connection to the war. We were forced to relocate from northern Gaza to the south, and have been displaced multiple times in search of safety.

Urgent! the deadly cold is threatening our lives. 😢💔

The fierce winds have torn apart the roof of our tent, and heavy rain has flooded everything around us. Now, we live in our torn tent, with my little child shivering in my arms, and my sick mother in law struggling to withstand the biting cold that pierces our fragile bodies.

Every night, I wake up terrified multiple times, placing my hand on my child’s chest to make sure he is still breathing. The thought of losing him tears my heart apart with every passing minute. After seeing the news about children who died from extreme cold, the fear for our lives has become more real and frightening than ever. 😭💔

Your support has been the only reason we have survived the hardest times of our lives, and we will forever be grateful to you kindness. 🙏💚 Thanks to a kind-hearted person, just a few days ago, we were able to purchase a tent that filled our hearts with joy and hope during this difficult time. I don’t know how TSSM managed to do it, but somehow they not only gave us one storyline that tackled the topic of addiction in a way that was understandable towards their younger targeted audience, but they gave us two.

And just whenever people talk about the representation and portrayed attitudes towards mental health issues in other adaptations of Spider-man I’m just reminded of how much immense respect I have for TSSM for both deliberately choosing to outright address such mental health issues like addiction and being able to do it with such sensitivity and acknowledgment of the underlying gravity of such issues that they end up doing it well.
