fic 1: the harmony of murder

Fairy tale this, fairy tale that. As much as Chase and Deacon loved the easiness of doing short stories, it was starting to bore the duo. One day, they were looking through the old boxes that were in the off corner of the tower, and they found a book, but not just any book. They had found a murder mystery book that took place in the early 1920s. Deacon took notes over the story for the next few days but Chase was starting to get tired of waiting, so right before Deacon could get to the end, they took what they knew and jumped in. What could go wrong?

guys am i crazy for sorta hoping Chase realizes that he doesn’t need a “cool name” to be successful? Chase is a cool name, but I feel the more we get to know him, Chase seems like the fun version of himself that he presents when talking to others to seem more confident than he might not be? I feel like if he decided to go back to Charlie some day, it would still fit him, but seem more comfortable in a way?

As someone who changed their name due to personal traumas, I understand if it seems strange to think this but I do sort of hope in the back of my head that he’ll slowly realizing he doesn’t need a cool name, and he just needs to be himself

idk i’m slowly loosing my mind since I have only a day left of winter break but this thought hasn’t left my mind in a week 😭😭

IM GLAD THEY MADE UP also buddy was bold asf for wiping chase’s cheek “well a little idiot should have brought more 🤓” 💀💀 it was nice seeing buddy try and fix what he did, even if it seemed difficult for him, im quite excited to see how they act towards eachother since buddy said he would think about staying chill about the keys for now

deacon and his disney princess moment with the seagulls was so funny 💀 i saw all the text when he was with the birds and i was like “wtf is this dude yapping about” and then i realized he was reading to the damn birds 😭😭 horses may not like him, but maybe hes more of a bird person than a horse girl 😔

ALSO. was what deacon was saying foreshadowing? i meannnn kinda seems so 🤓
