What’s Your Opinion On Life In Space? I Personally Believe That With So Many Planets Its Impossible

what’s your opinion on life in space? i personally believe that with so many planets its impossible not to have somehow have life, even if it’s just a single cell being

-🔭

I really quite like the emoji you used!

Statistically, the probability of life existing elsewhere in the universe is high. There are billions of galaxies, each with billions of stars and potentially habitable planets. Even if the conditions for life are rare, the sheer number of possibilities makes it unlikely that Earth is the only place where life has developed. I don’t know if we’ll ever find it, but mathematically, it makes sense that it exists. As for my own opinion; I really hope we get to discover more about possible life in space soon! It is an unrealistic wish but I dream of it nonetheless.

I believe he looks more similar to Will Graham, his hair is just darker.

I would like to reiterate that I am an engineer but I have never committed theft.

You’re like.. crazy pretty

Errr the name’s Tonny btw.

That is very direct. Hello, Tonny

Is Nigel a Sheep or a Wolf ?

Nigel is a Human.

If you are asking what I think he’d be if he was an animal , which you should’ve worded more precisely , I think he’d be a dog.

But I can’t say for certain.

I recently read about Tardigrades, also called water bears, they are micro-animals that survive things most organisms wouldn’t even make it through halfway.

When conditions get extreme; dehydration, radiation, freezing, heat etc. they enter a state called cryptobiosis. That means they shut down almost all biological functions. No metabolism, no movement.

In this state, they’re called tuns. They can stay like that for years.

Then when water is added, they pick up where they left off like it’s nothing.

They’ve survived space exposure, temperatures from just above absolute zero to over 150°C, and pressure levels that would crush submarines.

They’re not strong in the usual way. They’re just built for their environment.

I don’t know what feelings it would stir in Will. I have never met him.

But if someone saw a younger version of themselves, would they recognize it as themselves..or as someone else entirely?

It's very weird, having a patient with the same face as my Will.

Earth just temporarily captured a small asteroid (2024 PT5) that orbited us for a couple of months. It’s not a permanent moon, though. The only real moon we have is still the one we always see.

Still, it’s interesting to think about how objects from space can come so close, even if just for a short time. The asteroid is back on its regular path now.

It’s rare for something like this to happen. I wonder how many other near-Earth objects we haven’t noticed yet!

Please Adam no matter what, do not go to Maryland.

There’s things there that you shouldn’t have to see, people you shouldn’t encounter.

Adam you’re a good soul. I knew a man just like you and he is slowly losing himself.

I wouldn’t want that happening to you.

-🐺

I’m not sure if I know you. You seem to know me, or maybe you don’t and are just acting weirdly without being prompted. I’m willing to consider either possibility.

I actually got a great job offer in Maryland! I haven’t told Beth about it yet. I’m not sure if she’d want to move there or if she’d consider staying together if I lived further from New York.

So, I might have to decline the offer anyway…, though I’ve often thought about moving out of the city since my dad passed away.

Were not the bliss too often crost

By that unhappy vile distrust,That gnawing doubt, and anxious fear, that dangerous malady,

That terrible tormenting rage, that madness, jealousy.

It is love that tortures you, isn’t it?

You don’t speak of it but I know and so do you.

I did not like that.

Hi- Im Lenny, Im really new to this app. You seem really pretty though. Do you have any movie recommendations? I see you like space, I have a few space films at the video store I work at.

talk to you later starboy.

🎬 ( @film-collecter )

Hello Lenny!,

Thank you. I do have many recommendations.

Two of my favorite films are A Beautiful Mind (2001, dir. Ron Howard) and The Imitation Game (2014, dir. Morten Tyldum). Both films have a strong focus on the protagonist, but they still fit your criteria. Contact (1997, dir. Robert Zemeckis) is simply brilliant in its scientific accuracy. I also think Moon (2009, dir. Duncan Jones) is one of the best films ever made—it inspires me to this day. If you want to watch something more laid-back but not the absolute garbage that many self-proclaimed ‘space’ movies are, I can recommend Wall-E (2008, dir. Andrew Stanton).

Let me know if you are interested in something more specific!.

Hey Adam! How are you doing today?

Hello,

I did not manage to answer you in time. I do not remember how I felt on May 2nd.

But if I apply your question to today, I’d say I feel desolation and a sense of culpability regarding my emotional state. As for what I’m doing; I’m packing boxes.

I’ve been trying to organize them methodically, much to Beth’s frustration. We argued about it yesterday. It makes my skin itch to watch her throw everything together without care.

Tonight, I’m going to the park to watch the raccoons. I hope it’ll settle my thoughts. I know it won’t, there’s no magic in distraction. But maybe if I keep myself occupied long enough, I can crowd out what’s pressing on me.

After all i understand that my routines aren’t efficient for moving. So, I’ll dissociate as much as I can.

Hubble Deep Field: 10,000 galaxies in one image. That is a lot.
