One of the things that fucks me up about the Damian-cuts-Tim’s-line incident is that Tim just describes it as “He jumped me.”

Dick came in late, when they’re both on the ground with Tim trying to get Damian to stop attacking him. He yells at them as though it was an equal fight, because that’s all he saw. Dick didn’t see the line snap, he didn’t see Tim fall.

And Tim doesn’t tell him. Tim was there. Tim knows exactly what trauma Dick has over this exact scenario, and he keeps it to himself. He keeps it vague, he says Damian jumped him. Tim nearly fucking died, and now he’s getting snapped at for defending himself, and his split second choice of words is one that avoids triggering his brother’s trauma.

Tim has zero qualms about holding Damian responsible for his shit; he didn’t reflexively speak vaguely to reduce how much trouble Damian’s in for attacking him. He did it to protect Dick.

Chapter 3 Summary: After the big reveal, John and Danny share a meal. Life moves on.

“So tell me, how did you find Billy in the first place?”

Danny thoughtfully looked out into the courtyard, before turning back to face John. “I was on my way back to Sam’s place from classes, and I happened to see him transform in an alley. I was shocked, so I invisibly followed him home. When I saw that he was living alone in an abandoned apartment, it broke my heart. I watched him that night as he ate a pitiful bit of leftover food from somewhere, and carefully stashed the rest in a hidey-hole. Then he climbed on his bare mattress and covered up with a threadbare blanket to sleep. It reminded me so much of the days before my high school graduation, when I lived like that; I just couldn’t let it go. I couldn’t bear to see another child hero suffer like that. He just reminded me so much of myself.

After my parents found out that I had died, and that I was the ‘hero’ protecting the town from their mistakes, they kicked me out of the house. I lived on the streets for almost two months and didn’t tell anyone because I was so ashamed, and I was afraid my secret would get outed. I’m sure Billy feels the same.”

“Damn, kid. That sounds rough. Now I can see why you took to the boy. You said you were a child hero before your parents discovered your secret. If you don’t mind me asking, how long were you were a ghost before they noticed?”

Danny’s face clouded. “Three and a half years.”

“How did they miss that their kid was dead for three and a half years?!?”

“They cared more about their work than they cared about me and my sister. It was that way my whole life. My sister was the one who practically raised me. It doesn’t matter anymore…” Something told John that it did, but he wasn’t about to call out the Ghost King on personal matters.

“….Besides, I have the ability to pass as a human when I want to. It’s how I finished high school and got into college.”

“I thought you went to some kind of ghostly college.”

“No way, dude! Didn’t you read ‘Harry Potter’?? Dead teachers are the worst. They are soooo boring. That’s one of the few things the books got right.” A polite cough sounded from the side of the room. “Uh, ghostly mentors, on the other hand, are fantastic! It’s just…ghostly learning institutions that I don’t care for.” Danny’s hand went to the back of his neck and started rubbing it sheepishly. Now he looked more like the ghost that John had met in the park.

I think it would just be funny if DC made like a HBO Max show or something that’s just the misadventures of their Magic Users.

Like, Zatanna would instantly be the main character, objectively. Her thing could be that she just wants to like- be a regular stage magician but is constantly bombarded with random magic issues.

By association John Constantine would be the acting duo protagonist. I firmly believe he should just be Zatanna’s annoying ex who randomly shows up on her couch. Probably has similar development to his Legends of Tomorrow show counterpart.

Then it’s probably the magic user of the week who summoned an elder god or something. Characters like Ragman and Dr. Fate probably deserve a few focus episodes. There would probably be some magic Atlantan artifact or something that would introduce King Shark. Mainly just to have a romantic plot with John.

Raven and Shazam would weasel their way into “main” character status. Zee and John would probably like- accidentally start raising like a 15-ish Raven, sort of, cuz of the whole Trigon thing. They would probably fight him in a season finale type deal or something.

Billy would just be the biggest chaotic force in the show, would probably have some really amusing scenes as Shazam before he lets them know he’s like barely 14.

Billy would probably bring the seven deadly sins as a plot line with him. So they probably travel to Hell and face/meet them one at a time, working their way to Mammon. Maybe Zatanna gets a cool succubus gf like Chantinelle down there I don’t know.

The Kennedy Six, everyone. I love the subsequent (CIA?) additions of Diego’s eyepatch, and Five’s li’l uniform! XD

Anyway the rest of the umbrella academy wouldnt last a day with Klaus’s powers

cool little interview. I think the cast all had very interesting things to say about their characters, but my favorite part is when Rob said: "I think Klaus is gonna, at the first opportunity, he's gonna kick Reggie's glass doors in and go 'Gimme back my power, you asshole! I'm only just after mastering it and you take it away?!'" The fact that season 1 Klaus would be popping champagne if someone took his power away, and the fact that it's believable he'd do the exact opposite now is great

It’s so funny to think about how from viktor’s perspective the entire series has been over the course of like. maybe two months. Like the amount of shit that he’s had to process in such a short span: “Oh, I have powers. Oh, I destroyed the world. Oh, I have amnesia. Oh, I like girls. Oh, I have a family. Oh, I have powers, again. Oh, I’m a boy. Oh, the kid I helped raise in the 60s is here and he has powers. Oh, my sister killer him.” Like it’s amazing he’s any semblance of stable at all.
