I aspire for my headcanons to look like this one day. Well thought out, deeply personal, and organized. Not the disaster that is my mind just going ‘hey you know what would be really funny…’ but those thoughts are also fun ig.

He has SO MANY soft friends. I also imagine Flora has a lot too, especially ones with scented things inside- they help her feel grounded when she dissociates or is remembering things related to the Calamity. Their beds in their house (separate beds in the same room on the loft) and their couch are just filled with soft friends. None are as special as the Brenda’s, of course.

I think each culture throughout Hyrule would have a different kind of most common toy and most common stuffed toy. Once everyone figured out how much Wild loves soft friends, they always gifted him one when he helped out the town. Wild loves this so much. The first time it happened he cried from overwhelming emotions of happy and grateful and feeling loved and appreciated.

I definitely like to imagine all of the Links as neurodivergent. When I have them rotating in my head I like to give them different diagnoses to ✨spice things up✨ and get more diversity in there. Here are the ones I usually give to each Link:

Sky: autism, dyspraxia, dysgraphia, dyslexia

^there is a series I follow of Sky with epilepsy, and I also really love that headcanon

Time: autism, Tourette’s syndrome

Twilight: depression and anxiety disorders

Wind: Down syndrome

Alternatively for Wind: FASD

Wild: autism

Hyrule: ADHD, CPTSD

Four: synesthesia, OCD, sometimes DID

Legend: borderline personality disorder

Warriors: PTSD, anxiety disorder

When I have them as all autistic, here are what I imagine their special interests are:

Time: masks (as a child, not so much anymore), cows, had memorized every dad joke to ever exist

Sky: bugs and birds :). In Skyloft birds was mainly just Loftwings, but then when he discovered all the birds on the surface it became all birds. He single-handedly catalogues and describes all the surface birds.

Warriors: battle strategizing, sewing

Wind: sailing, pirates, also characters from a storybook his Grandma used to read to him and Ayrll every single night (at Wind's insistence)

Wild: cooking, horses, cataloguing plants in the sheikah slate

Legend: magical items, jewelry (jewelry with magical properties are the COOLEST SHIT)

Hyrule: biology/anatomy, and there's a series of books they once found in an abandoned town that they LOVE. Books are hard to come by in their era so those are their absolute most prized possession

Twilight: goats, wolves. He knows every. Single. Fact.

Four: clocks, tools. Four wants collect every tool in existence, and wants to know exactly what it does. Especially blacksmithing tools, bc Four also really likes blacksmithing

New Wild Headcanon: Sound Sensitivity

(Works for LU Wild or just BotW Link in general.)

Ok so, Wild’s Hyrule is kinda empty compared to some of the others. Wild’s used to silence and quietness which leaves me to think that he would probably be sound sensitive. Yes, there is a few towns in BotW that are kind of big, but it doesn’t really get as big as what we see Castle Town used to be, or even the castle itself.

So, if Wild took a trip to Time’s Castle Town for instance, Wild could get a bit overwhelmed by all the sound. (Also to LU Wild, his damaged ear might be sensitive, even if it is fully healed.) He’d probably express needing to get a breath of fresh air (No pun intended-) to one of the others and find a more quiet spot to calm down. What do you guys think?

the stats have probably changed a bit since then, but I made a pie chart and thought I’d post it. happy to say that the pie chart makes me happy. it’s good to know that our boys are getting similar amounts of love that they all deserve 🫶

i used a pie chart maker online, and then went on procreate to make the colors fit their character! looks pretty cool if you ask me :D 😎

Bold of you to assume I haven’t seen this. In fact I think I reblogged this. And then went down a rabbit hole of researching IST before realizing I was probably overreacting to the whole thing lol.

I see your 'Sky has asthma and that's why he can't run', and I raise you: Sky has Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia, and that's why he can't run.

Now, before you run away because you've never even heard of IST, hear me out. (If you don't know the condition, it's a dysautonomic heart condition vaguely similar to POTS, just without the low blood pressure.)

We all know Sky's lived above the clouds with minimal oxygen levels his entire life, as have most of his decedents, so it wouldn't make sense for him to have shitty lungs, right? That's where IST comes in. See, it's not related in the slightest to physical health or upbringing, it's just a non-genetic thing that is due to your sinus being a bit funky. It's also not life threatening, so that takes away from Skyloft needing to have non-canonical advanced medical procedures. IST's main symptom is that it severely decreases your stamina by making your heart race and you become extremely out of breath, often meaning you have to stop and wait for a bit for your heart to calm down.

Sound familiar? Yeah, I thought so too.

However, and here's the real seller- unlike asthma, you can just power through and not die. It really, really sucks, but this ability is quite the gamebreaker for me when you think about all of the extreme physical tasks Sky has completed in game, not to mention his swordplay, that if he had exercise induced asthma would've very likely set off an attack. With IST tho, yes it would feel like you were dying, but it is absolutely be possible to just power through your symptoms and have no adverse effects except from your extreme discomfort and fatigue afterwards.

TLDR: Sky has Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia because it fits him so much better than asthma, as someone who has both asthma and IST. And no, this isn't just me projecting my hyper specific heart condition onto one of my favourite characters, what do you mean....

I'm considering jumping on the chronic illness/asthma train for Sky and writing a fic for it based on me fucking dying on a hike but I don't know how the hell I'd tag it. I don't actually know if I have asthma (not actually a long story but tldr I'm an idiot) or any respiratory problems at all and hey, I'm probably just out of shape and shit right? So yeah, does anyone have any advice for a confused fic writer?

In Wild’s Hyrule, Wild decided to start fake coughing, and he fell on the floor and he was screaming in “pain,” and then on the Sheikah Slate, he teleported to a shrine nearby:

They were walking the dueling peaks. “Wild you’re Hyrule is truly beautiful” Time smiles. Wild wasn’t paying attention, he had his eyes on a shrine. Wild coughs and leans against the mountain “F-fuck” he says as he coughs more, he falls to his knees. Warriors runs over “Champion! Hey, Look at me!” He panics, but he’s keeping calm. “Where does it hurt?” He holds Wild up by his shoulders. “Feels like-” cough “I getting ripped to shreds…” Wild says in faux pain. “Hey listen to me, you’re going to be okay” Warriors shakes him lightly. Suddenly Wild’s hands turn bright blue, then his arms, soon his entire body was bright blue, his body turns into blue string as it floats up. “WILD!?” Twilight runs over “FUCK!”. “What happened?” Wind looks over. “What the- Captain what-” Time walks over. “He- he just disappeared- I don’t know-” Warriors shakes “What- what happened-”. Captain burties his face in his hands. “Oi! Up here!” Wild yells, everyone looks up and sighs, however the old man is fuming. “WILD GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE” Time screams. “Shit-” Wild takes out his sheikah slate “how ‘bout no! I’ll see you in Hateno! Just fallow the path you’ll find a stable there!” he teleports again.

I always find it difficult when drawing Sky Child. He has a unique design. If his eyes were a different shape, his bangs above his left eye weren't short, then my brain wouldn't recognize him as Sky, and I would redo the sketch.

If you're confused about why Legend kissed Four, it's because he thought he was holding Marin's hand. And in his dream he is drowning and wants to kiss Marin before he dies.
