Hmm, I'm a huge fan of the packbonding tendency that humans have. Small creature? Baby. Big creature? Big baby. Toaster? Baby that go ding when toast. Everything and anything can and will be adopted by a human, and it brings me incredible amounts of joy.

As a human (I know, boring right?) I have personally packbonded with two roombas, a hat, and a 3/4 inch metal ball bearing. And I'm not sorry about it. I'm sure there's worse but those are the 3 wierd ones that come to mind.

Wow, super interesting stuff. How have you found the higher intelligence pokemon to do therapy with? How do they differ from humans? I guess it would be hard to like, know, but if you have any insight I’m super curious.

I’d reckon a good amount of ghost types could do with some therapy… the way some of them are created is pretty traumatic.

Not reacting to stimuli the same way is a super interesting point. I assume unconditioned stimuli for pokemon is one of those more confusing things to figure out- what do you like and what do you dislike, how do I give a carnivorous plant a little treat for being a good sport… pfft.
