I truly wonder what was going through Sirius' mind when he learned about his mother's passing. I assume a big part of him felt vindicated, happy, free, maybe even a bit detached and indifferent (after all he hadn't seen his mother in a while) but I have to wonder if a part of him grieved the mother he never had, the love he never got. A part of me wonders if he got overwhelmed by the unfairness of his childhood,  the acceptance that was so expected for the people around him and was never given to him, the parts of Sirius that broke and would always be a bit shattered because of the way his mother raised him. What if a small,tiny part of him, the part that would forever be a child desperately wanting his family's support, couldn't help but remember the small moments of protectiveness and gentleness his mother showed to him before everything, the way she hugged him before his first year at Hogwarts , the way she cleaned his bruises even though he knows she is the one that caused them

Peter stress bakes. It'll be the night before a big exam, and Peter will just be sitting in the kitchen at 3 am making cupcakes. One night James woke up to get a glass of water and caught Peter there with flour all over his hands lowley hypervilating so he just stayed awake and baked with him for the rest of night (they made star and wolf shaped pancakes as breakfast for the others) (they ended up sleeping on the couch at 6)

James could only just whisper "please don't do this," but when Regulus cruelly insulted Remu's lycanthropy, he just couldn't do it anymore. James found comfort in Lily's arms, knowing that she too was heartbroken by Mary. Regulus had to watch the man he loved being in a relationship with the girl he told him not to worry about thinking that if James moved on so quickly, their relationship probably didn't mean anything to him. James had to go through the rest of his life thinking that Regulus hated him and trying very hard to hate him back but absolutely failing, because when he closed his eyes at night all he could think about was dark black curls and stars

Once in a while Remus would sit Sirius, James and Peter down and explain to them muggle celebrity drama and it is always so fun for him cause these bitches don't know anything and their reactions are always priceless "WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE GOT CAUGHT CHEATING ON HER?!?"I KNOW SIRIUS IT'S LUDICROUS"

Headcannon:Remus had a truly unhealthy addiction to coke zero, like that man truly couldn't function without starting his day with one, and when James read somewhere the dangers of it he started hiding them from him and begging him to "please Remie just take it easy". When Remus kept complaining to him about how much he needed caffeine and his lack of energy, James, in his overprotective mother mode, started making him black tea to drink. And that's how Remus developed his love for tea
